TylerH –
Extraordinary speeds. Definitely worth every penny.
Cris50287 –
It runs my games and my streaming/data transferring great! I love this and will not be needing to upgrade for awhile.
MellowC –
Great processer, overclocked with ease. Definitely higher in the temps but an aio helps.

The AMD Ryzen 7 5800X stands as a testament to AMD’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of desktop processing power. Boasting 8 cores and 16 threads, this 4th Gen processor is a formidable force designed for enthusiasts, gamers, and content creators alike.
The absence of a bundled cooler emphasizes AMD’s focus on raw performance, making it an ideal choice for users who prefer custom cooling solutions. The 7nm Zen 3 architecture delivers a significant leap in single-core and multi-core performance, resulting in a processor that excels in a wide range of computing tasks.
One of the standout features of the Ryzen 7 5800X is its unlocked multiplier, allowing for easy overclocking and fine-tuning for users who want to extract even more power from their system. The Precision Boost technology dynamically adjusts clock speeds, ensuring optimal performance in any scenario. The absence of integrated graphics means that a discrete GPU is necessary, making this processor best suited for users who prioritize dedicated graphics performance.
The 8-core configuration, combined with simultaneous multithreading (SMT), allows the Ryzen 7 5800X to handle demanding workloads with ease. Whether you’re gaming, streaming, or engaging in content creation tasks, this processor delivers a seamless and responsive experience. The 32MB of L3 cache further enhances performance by reducing latency and improving data access speeds.
Efficient power management is another highlight of the Ryzen 7 5800X. The TDP (thermal design power) is well-balanced, ensuring that the processor runs cool under standard operating conditions. This, combined with support for the latest PCIe 4.0 technology, makes the processor future-proof for upcoming hardware advancements, such as high-speed NVMe SSDs and graphics cards.
While the Ryzen 7 5800X doesn’t include integrated graphics, which might be a consideration for budget-conscious users or those who don’t require a discrete GPU, its raw processing power and multitasking capabilities more than compensate for this limitation.
In conclusion, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X stands as a flagship performer in the desktop processor market. Its combination of high core count, multithreading, and exceptional single-core performance make it a versatile solution for a wide range of applications. Whether you’re a gamer seeking maximum frame rates or a content creator demanding powerful multitasking capabilities, the Ryzen 7 5800X delivers unparalleled performance, solidifying its place as a top-tier processor in the AMD Ryzen lineup.

Great chip decent clock speed, on par with 11700k. Paired with kraken 280mm
JimW –
Solid cpu for any PC game. Can run any game well..

Recently upgraded from the ryzen 5 to this because it was on sale. Didnt think it would be that significant of an improvement, but boy was I wrong. This paired with my 6800xt makes an astounding upgrade.
Visgo –
I’ve had this CPU for almost 3 years and it’s still a great all-rounder. It’s getting to be a bit long-in-the-tooth compared to the newer X3D CPUs in gaming, but if you can find a great deal on it (sub-$200), it’s still solid. It does run a bit hot though, so that’s something to be aware of (used it with a Noctua NH-U14S and it was fine).
AustinE –
Good purchase, I even price matched with amazon and got it way below the BestBuy price. And it has satisfied all of my needs.
StephenR –
I was worried that a Ryzen 7 wouldnt have enough power. But so far it plays all the new games.
RobinW –
Great CPU for todays games and task. Feel in love with AMD a few years ago and won’t go back. Quick load speeds as well as great for multitasking projects like adobe photoshop and premiere.
TTVmarceluchiha –
If your gonna buy this dont, switch to intel its way better but its not bad
Randable –
Quality processor even bought a generation old. Great value for money!

Easy assembly and works well. Definitely helped improve my PC.
WesH –
Runs very well. Have had this processor in my new PC for about a couple months now and I have had literally zero issues. Stays cool too with the right cooling. Amazing processor
Protocycle –
The CPU is great, though it does get very hot without a proper curve through Curve Optimizer and a good cooler.
Paired with a 7900XT, basically all games run at very high FPS with high quality settings at 2K without being too CPU bottlenecked. getting usually more than 120 FPS on games like Spiderman Remastered and Miles Morales, The Finals, Warzone 2, etc.
If remaining on or upgrading to AM4 platform, better get a 5700x or 5800X3D, if mostly gaming

As I get home and try to install my brand new Ryzen 7 guess what I drop it. Pins bent, panic, rage everything you could imagine. After about 100 laps around the house and 500 google searches later I have to do it. I rebend all the bent pins back to the forward position install the CPU which needed an extra push to seat. After everything that raced through my mind the computer turns on boots and fires up like nothing happened. The CPU itself is a monster and I couldn’t recommend it more after the great experience I had with it.
Tritan –
Bought this for my brother building his PC. No fan means you get a water cooler instead, looks nice, and cpu runs insanely well. Will be up to date for the next 6 years minimum
MatthewY –
One corner pin was bent and had to be re-bent into place. CPU worked fine after that though. Price was good using the price match program though.
MitchellJ –
I’d imagine that it’s a solid cpu, but the model that I received wouldn’t post, so I had to return it
JadeC –
Worked in the beginning but should’ve bout the nezt level up instead if your looking for average pc work this is it but if u need excelled gaming prob not for u
Dankavocado –
Good cpu able to handle all my games without problems.
Hightechzen –
Great chip for older rigs…. breaths new life into them so it won’t bottle-neck newer GPU cards. This should handle up to an RTX4050 or AMD 6000 series video card no issue (any higher than these GPU, and you will need to go to the next gen of CPU)
Frankie –
Best CPU highly recommend for pc builds and gaming
MichaelrB –
Recieved the cpu as a Christmas gift, it was non functioning out of the box
RicardoG –
Built my very first pc and I’m amazed with how well everything came together.

Rudy –
Great processor for gaming and getting work done on the PC. Fast and responsive. Instantly saw the difference in my system.
ReginaldJ –
Very good cpu for the money paired it with a 7900xt runs good at 1440p
Rafie –
Upgrading from a Rzyen 5 3600, the difference is STELLAR. Highly recommend, and pairs well with my RTX 2080.
Only downside is it runs quite hot under basically every load type, really concerning at first, but from what people say online that is the norm because of the 3D VCache.
TonyL –
This thing rocks! An amazing upgrade over my previous one.
joil –
It is the perfect core to keep my computer from failing me!
RifRaf –
Great processor, runs most of my games over 100 fps

JosephP –
Bought this CPU to compliment my 7800XT.
I have no issues with this CPU. Make sure to buy a AIO or beefed up heatsink.
I haven’t overclocked it, and I think I won’t have to because it is doing it’s job.
Recommend for higher end desktop computers.
ZahraH –
Great has worked wonders for me I have had no problems
Tiny –
For my first pc build I needed something dependable. I’ve searched and compared it to other processors and this is the best for power and price.
CashW –
Very fast. It’s a good upgrade over my Ryzen 5. I use a corsair 110 AIO and it’s perfect.
Abdul –
fantastic CPU and I’m running it on a B450 motherboard with not great RAM.
AllenR –
I just upgraded from a 4770k. The 5800x is a rocketship of a cpu. The setup and chipset updates are super easy. The only con for me is she runs hot in temps. Would recommend a beefy 260mm aio or a 360mm .overall my best purchase yet.
terp –
