    Very good kindle since it’s water proof and really thin.

    This is one of the pricier Kindles but the Oasis by design is my favorite to hold and read with, as its underside has a ridged grip area, it has two buttons for page turning, and is easily the lightest weight ereader I’ve encountered so far. The picture quality of the e-ink surface is better than my older Kindle, and also noticeably a bit better than my latest generation Nook, so while I prefer patronizing Barnes & Noble the easier experience with the Oasis has made me reconsider a lot of purchases and put them on the Oasis. Only downside I can see if it does go through the battery faster if you use the backlighting, so battery life is not as good as other ereaders.

    I believe it’s a good device, especially with these navigation buttons, but two points have to be mentioned, first, the price is too high, and also, I believe the kindle paperweight is still more handy and useful if you want to take it outside to read, and if someone thinking to have it for home use only, then add the extra few dollars and buy the kindle scribe, , for a better screen!.

    A worthy upgrade for your base kindle. The oasis feels like a premium device. You don’t know how nice the hand hold with physical buttons is until you try it. Not having to rely on the touch screen and have accidental page turns has been so worth the upgrade. Also the auto rotation of the devices screen means you can hold it on either side and even read in bed laying on your side with no issues.

    This is by far the best kindle I’ve owned, I bounced between this and the scribe. Well for almost $200 extra I don’t think it’s worth it to take notes as I’m reading?!? I got it to read not draw.

    The weighted side really makes ir easy to hold like a book. But easier still, you just push the button at your thumb to move pages. The script and color look like real pages. Its also adjustable. Teated it is waterproof as it fell in my tub.

    A perfect reading tablet, I would like them to maybe add more of a texture to the back for when holding one handed. But the overall experience has been great. I tend to purchase my books on Amazon now because the ease of my Kindle.

    This is my first Kindle purchase- in the past i obtained ebooks on my ipad, however instead of purchasing another i chose the Kindle, its taking sone adjustment as to date there are no colors to see in th book cover.

    this kindle is extremely expensive but well worth it if you can get a lot of use out of it. I have this for a while now and noticed it would only charge up to 97%. However, everything else is still working great. Easy to use. I love the hold and the buttons. Very different from the other kindles and this is my favorite.

    Nothing bad to say about this product – I’ve always wanted one, and when we were able to purchase, I was so excited! Love it! Dimmable backlight (I like it on lowest), which saves battery. On lowest/close to lowest setting, battery lasts weeks/months depending on use! Love it!

    The quality ans build feels better in the hands than any other e-reader I’ve held. By far my favorite. Can’t even use my wifes Kindle without comparing it to my Oasis. Worth the price if you can afford it or if you find a great deal.

    I have owned a few kindles, which have all been great. However? My Oasis is by far the one I use and grab the most often. The design of it makes for a comfortable hold, and the page turning buttons seem like a small concept, but have been an absolute game changer for me. I wish I wouldn’t have waited so long to purchase one.

    I’ve had the kindle oasis for 3 years now, and let me just say, it has reinvigorated my reading schedule.

    I had a particular issue with reading…. I love to read, but I hate clutter. I also like the tactile feel of turning pages.

    In comes the oasis, which by my standards scratches those itches and then some. I have read 56 books since I bought this kindle November 2020. That may not seem like a lot for a person in 3 years, but for me, it is a record. I have surpassed my record this year for most in a year and I’m currently on book # 18. I attribute this to the fact that I used to LOVE to read when I was younger but as I get older and more minimalist, I can’t stand buying physical items that I then use once or twice and have to store and take up valuable space in my home.

    I can also now read more comfortably at night due to the warm light setting this thing has. My only drawback, and it is ever so slight, is that the auto backlight adjustment seems to be always going haywire. I tend to just keep it turned off because otherwise it ends up adjusting every 15 seconds or so and it will be gradual, independent of the consistency of lighting in the room you are in. Very strange, but a small price to pay for the other check marks this thing ticks for me.

    Overall, I am hooked on this thing and I feel young again reading through so many books. The tactile buttons were the selling point for me, but now that I realize there is so much to like on the device, I would replace this thing with the same if I ended up losing it or something.

    Amazon needs to make an updated version… This is a great product, but the battery life kinda stinks. The current/new paperwhites are cheaper and just as good with better batteries, just no buttons…

    It has words, some big, some small. Some put together in a sentence, some not at all. Intuitive adjusting screen, zoom, and resistant to glare.
