    So far only been a month but I LOVE this thing! I had a smaller Altec speaker for a decade and let me tell ya, Altec knows how to make indestructible outdoor speakers! It truly can float in water and you can even answer or decline calls from it hands-free! Love the USB charging port. I am a big fan of LED party lights so that is a huge perk. I have been on the market for a new, bigger, summer speaker for floating the river, working in the garage, or BBQ in the backyard, but did not want to pay an arm and a leg. $150 is a steal for the size of this thing. It really has great bass and the 360 sound is great. I love the handle for portability. So far, I tested out the battery playing at a medium volume with the lights on and it lasted 14 hours! I might even get a second one to pair it.

    I once own a similar Altec Lansing inMotion Boombox. This once is even better! The older model required D batteries. But it had an iPod dock (long before Bluetooth was popular). This one absolutely does the job. The sound is incredible. I can only dream of a model that works with Apple AirPlay. Maybe one day… But for now, this is a great purchase.

    Life of the pool party, it floats in the pool with awesome lights.. great sound, long battery life, and solid build.

    Soundwise it just doesn’t cut it for me.. our use is mainly on the beach and the volume is not as high or clear. We end it up buying a Ion sports Bluetooth speaker. With many features and great sound it even brought a microphone etc. For a lesser price.

    Use it for U12 Soccer practice and warmups. Works very well. Only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is the bluetooth range is not great. Can only be 15 feet away before it cuts out.

    Loved the sound quality loved the lights if your good at taking care of your things this is for you I however am a rough owner so I dropped it while it was charging got a new charger now it only charges to 40% and just am always worried about breaking one of the lights on the handle hasn’t happened but I could see it happening eventually

    This speaker is NOT for you if you’re looking for good bass. The sound is great, very powerful tweeters but the bass is not noticeable at all even with the volume up half way or even 3/4 of the way up.

    For anyone that listens to heavy bass, the metal mesh on the back side of the speaker is actually in the way of the woofer. When you turn the volume all the way up, the shooter will touch/rattle the mesh causing an ANNOYING rattling sound

    I bought 2 of these speakers and it’s hard to sync both to play in tandem. When I finally get them to play together one will drop out and I had to start all over. It notes that you can sync up to 10 devices.
    Sound quality is good.

    Buyer Beware!! A Christmas present for my daughter. It worked great for the 1st year, then it suddenly stopped charging/no power. I contacted customer service for Alltec Lansing and they did nothing for me and offered me nothing. For $200, I would have hoped this slightly used speaker would have lasted longer then 1 year!! Free Tip…spend the extra money and get a JBL, Sony etc.

    Excellent portable speaker. Decent sound quality. Rugged build. Has good battery life. Bass is devent but only really comes out at higher volume. Overal goid sound quality though. Pleased with this product.

    For the money this is well worth it! Was this or the jbl version. This was $450 less and times are tough … went with this model . I own two other models by altec and always been pleased with them.

    This speaker is mega loud when connected to my phone via Bluetooth. In connecting it wired to my projector though it is really quiet. I believe this is an output issue for my projector, and for that reason I give it 5 stars!

    I absolutely love altec. I’ve purchased various sizes in their smaller speakers but this large one has by far been my favorite. I took it river rafting and it performed to its expectations. I would definitely recommend it.

    Did research on all the outdoor speakers on the market and this one was the one for me. Great bang for my buck as it gives me exactly what I need without having to break the bank. Great volume level, quality sound, and fun design. The charge holds for a good period of time and has floating capability, great for camping at the lake.
