What’s a gaming mouse for? It needs to be responsive, display pretty colors, and be comfortable for long term use. It’s helpful if it’s also wireless and has programmable buttons. It’s essential that it be built well to hold up for long term, everyday usage.
Alienware is known for their gaming systems. This mouse is a move to complement their systems both aesthetically and functionally. One nice piece is that the same Command Center software will work with both. That saves a large download if you already have an Alienware system. Colors will also then be coordinated. The mouse will also work with other vendors.
Usability:
Either way, I found the mouse to be very responsive, especially in high DPI modes. I used it with the included cable, with the 2.4Ghz USB-C mini dongle, and with Bluetooth. In all cases, the mouse worked well, connected to my laptop quickly, and felt comfortable. Programming must be done through the Alienware command center. The main elements to be programmed are the colors and macros to be assigned to buttons. Unlike my work mouse (a Logitech MX Master), the buttons and wheel have only default Windows supported behavior. Clicking the scroll wheel brings up a scroll lock mode which allows for constant scrolling based on how far the mouse cursor is from the cross hairs. Tilting the wheel gives the same thing, but only while the wheel is engaged. Both modes are useful for scrolling vertically or horizontally through documents or spreadsheets so you can use the same mouse for all your needs.
Comfort:
The mouse has nice finger grooves which keep your fingers well positioned for clicking and moving. The texture on the bottom gives grip for your thumb and other fingers on the far side of the mouse. Buttons on each side are large and easy to access. Unfortunately, only the buttons on the left side can be used out of the box. The right side buttons can only be used to assign macros. While it’s otherwise an ambidextrous mouse, the current software prevents it from being all it could be.
Setup:
Setup was easy, especially the bluetooth. I only needed to put it in pairing mode and the laptop recognized it right away. Using it with the dongle and the wire are easy as well. The wire is very flexible and doesn’t get in the way of any movement. One note: While the dongle and charging port are both USB-C connectors, the other end of the wire is USB-A. This means your machine MUST have a USB-A port in order to update firmware or configure the mouse. There’s a USB-C joiner plug in the package which can be used to host the 2.4Ghz receiver if you don’t have a USB-C port on your machine.
Overall:
My overall impression is of a high quality mouse that will last for a long time. The sensitivity is superb both on a desk and on a mouse pad. This is ultimately what you’re paying for. That said, there are other mice from Logitech and Razor which may be a better value and provide similar options. This is unique in having a USB-C dongle which may have value for newer laptops which are leaving out the older style port. Even in those cases, Bluetooth provides the connectivity needed. Get this if you have an Alienware machine and want the color coordination. Otherwise, look for the best price.

This is an excellent gaming mouse from Alienware. I was excited to see how it performs to the competition. The unboxing was simple. USB C adapter and turn the mouse on the wireless symbol mode. Then go to Dell and download the Alienware control center software. After installation I was able to change the DPI response and the color theme. It was nice to apply an over the air firmware update to the mouse. In use it felt light and the buttons very responsive. I did find myself hitting the buttons on the right of the mouse. I have never seen buttons there and for a right-handed person it was pretty annoying to keep hitting buttons that I would never use. I just left them disabled and after an hour I forgot they were there. I played a few matches of Fortnite and the comfort and response were great. I also found that the battery lasted all weekend without running low. A key feature in a gaming mouse. The adapter has a dual connection that allows the mouse to charge and gives you another USB-C port for the adapter which is a nice touch. Also, it is magnetic and breaks away if bumped. Therefore I recommended for a laptop as I have bent many adapters over the years. The included cable is braided and made well and has some good length to it. I also paired it to my laptop to test the Bluetooth and that was very smooth also. No issues. I would definitely recommend this for the versatility and the cool Alien logo.

This is a great ambidextrous gaming mouse. Whether you’re righ or left handed, this mouse will feel comfortable and easy to use. Having large hands, I’m a bit picky about the mice I use, and this mouse is bit smaller than most mice that I have used, but it was still comfortable and easy to use. The Alienware Command Center software you must download to adjust settings on the mouse is ridiculous. I get it, Dell has one program that covers all their peripherals, but I don’t want to download software that takes over the power management of Windows 11 just so I can change the basic settings like DPI on this mouse. While gaming I did not notice any lag. It performed exactly like a wired mouse. The only issue I have with the mouse itself is that if it sits for a bit, it shuts itself off, which I understand is for saving battery power, but when it wakes up it takes a few seconds for it to fully wake and remember what DPI you are using. It can be annoying. None of the other wireless mice I have used lately do this. Hopefully a firmware update can fix this.
Likes:
1.) Comfortable
2.) Good battery life
3.) No lag
Dislikes:
1.) Slow to fully wake after it goes into standby mode
2.) Bloatware software just to change mouse settings

Great gaming mouse, came very well packed and all its accessories in a nice little plastic box inside the main box. Included was also a large and very soft USB cable, braided, kind of in a fabric material (USB type C to A). It took a little to figure out how to use it as it has some nice accessories in the above mentioned plastic box (a little wireless dongle, and magnetic charging adapter to type C usb and a Y type adapter 2-1). The way you do, is use the Y adapter to plug the wireless 2.4 Ghz receiver and the large USB cable on one end, then on the other end there will be some magnets, which easily attach to the little magnetic type C USB male adapter that goes on the mouse. So any time you want to charge it, you just clip that magnetic adapter to the Y one and it will start charging the mouse. First time I see this concoction, but its effective and fast for when you want to charge the mouse. Now, the mouse has 4 side buttons (two on each side) positioned symmetrically plus the main two ones (very clicky and sturdy feel), these are symmetrical to, so because of this, it can be considered an ambidextrous mouse (great for people that are lefties). There is an “alien” RGB logo around the area of the palm and it’s not that large or on your face (if RGB lighting bothers you, but is fine for me). The mouse is super responsive and accurate (26000 DPI!!) and you can download Alienware’s command center to further customize it. The main buttons feel super sturdy and a great tactile clicky feel (almost like a mechanical keyboard switch), maybe it’s me that feels them that way, because my previous mouse was so mushy. The mouse wheel feels great too and very responsive. I can’t say its made me a better gamer, but I can really feel when I’m clicking it and has never failed me. I highly recommend this mouse, and specially if you are a leftie and looking for a good mouse (I know most mouses are designed for right handed peeps, but this one is for both, not an easy find!).

The Dell Alienware tri-mode wireless gaming mouse is a perfect companion for my Alienware X15 or any other laptop for that matter. As with many Alienware products the Alienware line products match each other in looks and quality.
The Alienware Tri-Mode gaming mouse has total of 8 buttons. Of course it has the RGB alien head on the mouse that you can sync with your Alienware Command Center. It is very light weighing in at on 0.33 grams and the this units also sports fast charging that will get you up to 20 hours of gameplay with only a five minute charge.
As the name of the product implies it has three modes which you can connect to your computer with giving you a lot of options for connectivity. I appreciate this aspect wry much. It includes a wireless 2.4GHz USB C dongle. You can also connect via Bluetooth 5.1 or just straight through with the USB C cable which I might add is a very nice soft braided cable. It also includes this clip that you can use to pull out the tiny wireless receiver that connects to the mouse itself.
Performance wise this gaming mouse is great. It has 26,000 DPI which gives you smooth and precise movements. I’ve been playing a lot of Warzone with it and it performs exceptionally well and battery life has been holding up well after only one charge I’ve been getting days worths of gaming. I really prefer this style of gaming mouse as to those monstrosity of mice with a million buttons and it matches my Alienware setup perfect.

I’m a casual gamer, typically lean towards gaming with a wired or wireless controller. I decided to try a wireless gaming mouse with my game laptop specifically for first person shooters. They say you can aim better with a mouse. First off, I really like the weight of this mouse. Its a good middle ground. It isn’t heavy and isn’t very light either. It keeps a good constant contact with whatever surface you choose to use it on. I don’t use mouse pads often because I game on laptops, but this mouse works with just about every smooth hard surface I have used it on. Wood, Plastic, Cloth, Leather, you name it. I tend to use a book, or my tablet case lol as a mouse pad and it works fine for me. I imagine it will be even better with a dedicated mouse pad, but for me it worked flawlessly with every surface I tried it on. It doesn’t have a bunch of customizable buttons, but that also works perfect for me. I only need a couple of buttons on the side and the two clickers. The mouse wheel is programmable, as are the side buttons. The mouse fits comfortably in my large hand for long gaming sessions. My hand, wrist or fingers never became too fatigued when gaming. The mouse does have allow a bluetooth connection, but I recommend you use the USB C dongle for wireless connection. it provides a stronger, and more stable connection. You’ll need it for those precise crosshair adjustments! It comes with a cool adapter that allows you to wirelessly / magnetically charge your mouse. But I just plug it in to my laptop with a usb c cable if I need to. The charging adapter got a little hot while I tested it, so I haven’t used it much. All in all, I think this mouse is very cool looking, the color changing RGB on the Alienware logo is neat. It is comfortable for long gaming sessions and the battery life is excellent. You can easily go about a week of casual gaming before needing to charge this mouse. In the week that I have been using it, Ive only had to charge it twice. Once out of the box, and once yesterday.

Having used the Alienware AW720M now for over a week, I’ve come to appreciate all its features and quirks. It feels good in the hand and has an exceptional finish. The design is well done, sleek and stylish – keeping a noticeable but not too overstated gamer aesthetic.
In the box you’ll find some interesting accessories. You’ll get a USB-C cable, a USB-C extender/mini-hub, a USB-C 2.4Ghz wireless adapter, an interesting magnetic quick disconnect adapter and a removal tool. The magnetic adapter for the mouse is pretty small – using the removal tool makes the process much easier. In general, I find the whole construction interest but a little over engineered and unnecessary. I’m sure attitudes very – you may find the setup convenient, I find it a little unwieldy.
I’ve used several different shapes and brands of mice over the years. There is something special about the construction – I suppose unsurprisingly – that feels familiar and high end. I don’t know if it’s the smooth finish, grippy sides or classic shape. Regardless, I love the way it sits in my hand and glides like it’s on glass. Keep in mind that there are tons of features packed into this tri-mode gaming mouse and ends up sitting in the middle to high end of the weight spectrum at 89 grams.
I’ve been really impressed with battery life. On a full charge I’ve been able to get a full week of constant use have yet to need a charge. Alienware says estimates about 140 hours on 2.4Ghz or 400+ hours on Bluetooth. Pretty impressive!

This Alienware gaming mouse is everything I have been waiting for! It’s comfortable, fast and includes USB-C.
It has everything you expect from a top tier gaming mouse in this day and age. The 26,000 DPI is more than enough for really competitive gaming. Only downside is that the DPI toggle is on the bottom of the mouse, which could hinder you if you need to make changes on the fly.
It has an ambidextrous design which is great for me as I am a natural lefty and allows me to operate in a style that fits me best.
My favorite feature/inclusion on this mouse is the USB-C connectivity. As gaming laptops, get thinner and start losing USB-A ports, I feel like it’s about time for the peripheral industry starts catching up. Yeah there’s Bluetooth, but I’d rather have the ability to wire in with a cable or with the dongle to prevent disconnects. It comes with a USB-C wireless receiver dongle, USB-C charge cable and the Snap Charging dongle.
I don’t see/understand the actual usefulness of the magnetic Snap dongle as you can just charge the device with a USB-C cable and not need the awkward attachment sticking out the front of the mouse.
Overall, I feel this is worth every cent spent for the simple fact of the inclusion of USB-C, meaning I don’t need to carrying around a third cable to solely charge my mouse.

This is a mouse anyone can be happy with. I will start first with saying it is in fact as it is advertised – silky-smooth. Plugged in or Bluetooth, I was happy with it the moment I needed to use either. The RGB aspect of the mouse is always a nice touch and can accent your setup nicely as it did mine but that is a constant in the Alienware style of devices.
I have an Alienware x17 R1 and the Bluetooth was extremely responsive as I play action/fighting games most of the time.
The only thing I can really say negatively about the mouse is that its ambidextrous grip makes for a narrower style of mouse. I have a large hand and the kind of mouse I prefer is wider so I feel like I’m more in control and more comfortable. Because this mouse was narrower I felt like I had to narrow my grip while using it which can be and did cause me to be a little distracted when I was gaming. So if you have a small to medium size hand I think you would be very happy with this mouse for your gaming, office, or administrative needs.
I’ve always been a fan of Alienware products as they have dramatically improved as of late in terms of performance and style. Give it a try!

My son likes this mouse bigger than the Glorious Model O- but he seems to like it better.

The Alien Control Center had no problem picking up when it was connected. The dongle to charge the mouse works great and the mouse stays charged for a while. Easy to use, although when i increased the DPI to 26,000 the slightest movement put my mouse on my second monitor.. so heads up when increasing the DPI although can see it being useful in FPS games like COD and Warzone.

I never cared too much about my mouse, as long as it worked. Last year I decided to treat myself to a Razer Basilsk Hyperspeed, which was much better than my $20 Logitech, but after a year of use, didn’t feel so great.
I tried another Razer, the Viper, and was very let down that it wasn’t Bluetooth. I then went for the Alienware and was blown away.
Fit and finish is as nice as the Razer but the mouse buttons feel much higher quality. Smoother in the hand and more premium in every way.
Lighting is easy to set on my Alienware system. Well worth the price.

If you are looking for great ambidextrous and have an Alienware this is a nice option to consider.
Has 2.4ghz wireless via USB C Dongle, will work wired or even Bluetooth. Mouse has a great feel to it.
For me the downsides are the following:
1. I am right handed and my little finger on right hand kept clicking the thumb buttons for left handed user.
2. The Alienware command center software works and is functional but not that intuitive. Want to update the firmware for mouse? Its under the FX section!
3. There is NO Place built into the mouse like the pervious model to dock or hold the USB dongle.
Bottom line if you are looking for a great gaming mouse and have an alienware computer go for it.

My BF recently bought the alienware laptop. And thought of buying him this mouse and he is happy.

I really like the shape, build quality, and features of this mouse. But what really triggers me to drop this from a 5 star mouse to 1 star is the lack of re-mapping the side buttons for media controls like volume. I’m seriously shocked that a $130 mouse is missing a feature found on $20 mice. I have to use 3rd party software just have this feature, apparently Alienware mice have always had this issue for years now so It means Dell just doesn’t really care to fix it.

Overall great shape but a little too heavy for me after experiencing lightweight gaming mice
Badmojo –
Great for gaming, high quality build in all ways. Feels good in hand and wheel is smooth.

The mouse itself glides smoothly and works well with either usb cable , usb dongle or Bluetooth. The magnetic quick connection is very clever and makes it easy to charge and use at the same time as well. I use it with 2 PCs , one Bluetooth and one with the usb receiver and switching between them is easy. I just wish the design was the same as the AW610M I have because that one feels much better in the hand.
DawnsRevengeYT –
It Performed better than I thought it would! Only thing this is missing is some better mouse feet, but it has become part of my collection next to the Logitech’s and Finalmice that I have. Feels nice in my hand, and I love that it is ambi. The price range is a little high for it, but other than that, really impressed with the mouse.
Bose –
This is an excellent usb type C mouse. Its fast charging is a very good feature.

Great mouse, very easy to use, and well worth the purchase versus the $20 options.

A nice looking minimal wireless mouse that matches the Dell R15 white case. I originally had the mouse dongle on the back of my computer but was experiencing delays with the initial mouse response. When I moved the dongle to the front usb C connection on the PC the response was immediate, and the issue was fixed. Very happy with the mouse performance.
LawrenceM –
It’s a cool looking mouse has a cool light and works as it should the battery lasts forever and it’s wireless and connects easily
The only thing I don’t like about this mouse is the click click click click is loud like a Edgar Allen Poe story getting louder and louder and louder
Th0m –
The Tri-mode mouse combines precision with flexibility. With customizable features, ergonomic design, and three connectivity options, it caters to various gaming preferences. Its sleek yet functional design makes it a standout choice for serious gamers.

This mouse is a must buy for ranked gamers. Highly responsive

The battery life is good, it does offer tri mode connectivity as many other competitors doing in the market. However the main click buttons are LOUD! Not ideal for the office environment.

Best wireless mouse I’ve ever used. Build quality is fantastic and it feels liberating to not be tied down to a cord.
