Bought this chair about 2 months ago. Well built and comfortable. This chair is best suited for tall individuals. I’m 6’1, 190 lbs. and it’s slightly big for me. It’s a quality textured fabric seat which I prefer to leather or faux leather so I don’t sweat or stick to the seat.
It’s a good looking gaming chair with a clean and simple style (doesn’t scream “gaming chair” with its style).
Nice chair at a good price point.

Not a gamer but was looking for an office chair that fit my size, looks professional and was comfortable. I am not disappointed. At 6′ 4″ and 240lbs I’ve gone through several cheaper chairs. They either wear out, squeak or are uncomfortable. This chair has none of those issues. Very satisfied and wouldn’t be a bit surprised to see several more of these pop up around the office. Another plus is that the arm rest lower down enough to be out of the way and easily slide under my desk furniture, as I rest my arms on my desktop not on the chair.

The chair it’s beautiful, wonderful and amazing for a while it is the best purchase I would.

This coming from a person who hates those cheap 100.00 chairs.

Yeah it stank for like, a month. After about 3 days of being out on the porch, airing out, it was a little better. I can still smell it at 1 month in. Smells like mildew, but it wasn’t moldy or anything.
Wash your hands.
Yogi –
easy to assemble, works as well as higher priced chairs, if not better. totally satisfied!

Very comfortable. It was extremely easy to assemble.

This chair has a solid build and feels like it will stay that way for a long time. When I swing the chair, use the adjustments or roll it, there is a sold smooth feel to everything. This made me satisfied that the amount I paid for it was worth it.
The chair has a wider seat and the bolsters are wide and low as not to squeeze your legs in the chair like a racing seat. The bolstering in the seat back are also less agressive, which allows you to move freely in the chair. This chair is a little wider and has a taller seat back than most other chairs I’ve seen. However, keep in mind that this is made to be an “office” chair and not a dedicated “gaming” chair.
The cushioning is very firm, which I tend to like. I don’t like cushions that collapse when I sit in them. The cushion will maintain its durability for a long time. Some may not like the firmness of the cushion.
The arm rests adjust up and down and also turn in and out. They do not tilt forward or backward, which is something I was not interested in having, anyway.
I also like that this chair is more subtle in the color scheme. It is…well, it’s black. The only coloring on the chair is the logos that you see in the picture on the neck support, lumbar support and the top of the seat back.
The fabric is pretty good quality, but does have a strong smell for the first few weeks. It didn’t bother me, but some will find it difficult to handle in a small room.
Lastly, the only reason I gave this chair 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is not leather. A leather surface would have given this chair a tad bit more comfort as leather always does. However, adding leather would significantly increase the cost. This is a trade-off that you will have to determine for yourself which is more important to you. I am perfectly fine with the fabric.
I purchased this on sale and would definitely recommend the purchase if you are looking for an “office” chair with some gaming chair characteristics. Lumber support was a primary factor I was looking for in a chair and I have been pleased with this one.

As with many, I have been working from home. I realized my 17 year old chair was not providing the back support I needed. This chair from AKRacing appeared to be a great option as part of their office line of chairs. Assembly was relatively quick and the chair appears to be of very good quality. I’ve only used it a short time, but is is very supportive, comfortable and adjustable. The only immediate opportunities for improvement I noticed were the plastic pieces covering the hinges seemed not to be at the level of that used elsewhere and the fabric weave could be a bit tighter (it had a tiny pull straight out of the box). Both points are minor in what appears to be an excellent and sturdy chair.

Chair feels great. First thing, it’s more than wide enough for me, unlike racing/bucket style chairs. I’m not taking my office chair out in a rally race, so the bucket design is not needed to hold me in place. The chair is firm and a little squishy, like a firm memory foam material. Lumbar pillow take some getting used to. Chair is very sturdy, and I love the option to adjust the recline. I recommend getting something to prop your feet up on if you like leaning back. I’ve been using my previous folding chair as a footrest for when I want to lean further back. Assembly took me about half an hour.
Tldr: great chair, it can do “this” (fully recline), seat is plenty wide, unlike most other gaming chairs, and materials are firm and supportive.

The chair is comfortable enough, not bad, not awesome. The reason for two stars and the reason I would not recommend is because the center of gravity is off. If you are short like me (5′) and sometimes like to sit on the front 1/3rd of the chair so that your feet touch the ground the chair will tip over forward. I have also had this happen when I stopped working for a moment to pet my dog while sitting in the chair normally. Before you know it you are on the ground and the chair is on top of you.

i’ll keep this quick. this chair is incredibly well made, easy to assemble, adjustable, and comfortable. unfortunately, because they wanted to allow for 180° reclining for some reason (gamer stretcher??) the swivel mounting point on the underside is positioned further back than most desk chairs, meaning that if you sit down too far forward, it WILL tip you face-first into your desk & your teeth will be replaced by glowing RGB keyboard keys

I purchased this chair cause like most of us now we’re working from home. I am 6’3″ so the normal chair doesn’t go above my shoulders so I wanted an adult size chair and it fits great. The left armrest started getting loose within a few weeks of purchase, so I reached out to AKracing and they sent me a new one. Their warranty is great, 5 years on the chair and 10 on the frame.

Good, high quality chair. Not even too challenging to put together. It reclines very far which is super nice. It’s very comfortable (I use it as an all day every day office chair). It is wide, I would mind something a little more narrow and snug, but that’s personal preference… so it would be great if you have wider set hips. Only knock against it is the chair arms. They don’t seem the highest quality and have somewhat limited range of movement. The arms do angle inwards, outwards, as well as move up and down, but I think maybe because they’re set so wide apart that it makes it feel like they don’t move as much.
John –
Does recline like a chair should. The back does recline but the seat is stationary. Gamers may like it but I do not. I am not a gamer.

Son loves this chair. Found him sleeping in it one night!!

My boss recommended I get this chair when I started working from home and I’m actually writing this review from that very chair. It’s easy to put together and very comfortable, but if I had to find something I dislike, the balancing isn’t very centered, and if you sit too far forward the chair will collapse and you’ll fall.

This item is just what I was expecting. Good quality, easy to put together. You know you got to do your research if you want a dependable chair for a decent price. Bought this one on the daily deals and was not disappointed.
Amazing –
Honestly very comfortable to seat and game for a long time and I have a 82 year old back pain problem but the lumbar and back support on this chair is amazing can set and game all day

Arm rest a cut in it. Contacted Manufactor I got a email by asking for proof. Gave them all the information they asked for— now over a month later.
No word

I am 6’1″ tall and 180 pounds. The cheap office chairs that I’ve always used before have never been big enough for me really. It got to the point that they were starting to make my lower back and hips hurt if I sat in them for a long time or off and on all day for days at a time.
I finally decided to do something about it. After weeks of research, I chose this chair. So far, I’m very glad that I did.
It raises up high enough that my knees are level with my hips and so that when my keyboard is on my desk, my elbows are the same height as the top of the desk. This makes for a more ergonomic experience that prevents soreness over time. It also lets me keep my wrists straight and flat which helps as well.
The seat is firm, but not hard, with plenty of support but without exaggerated wings on the sides. The chair back is supportive too, especially with the lumbar and neck pillows in place. Check out the pictures to see how I strapped them on so that they’ll stay where I move them to.
The chair is made of quality materials such as steel, heavy gauge plastic (only on non-load-bearing parts – no plastic in stress points), straps and fabric that seems very durable. It is a little heavy, but that is good since light chairs are flimsy chairs.
The arm rests are cushioned with a firm, but yielding pad covered in a durable rubber and can be adjusted in almost every way – width apart, height, forward and back, and swivel in or out. They came already attached to the chair, but can be removed if you take out the Allen bolts in the bottom of the seat. If you just loosen those bolts, you can adjust how far the arms are apart from each other. I like them at their closest setting with them swiveled towards each other and moved all the way forward.
The height adjustment lever feels solid and can be locked in place so that the chair won’t gradually lower itself. The chair back reclining lever is also sturdy and gives you several tilt positions from having the back almost folded over the seat to reclined almost in line with the seat in a laying down position. I prefer having it tilted a little bit forward while typing so that I can rest my head on the pillow rather than finding myself hunched forward as I used to usually do with other chairs.
The wheels base is made of solid steel rather than plastic like my old chair was. The wheels themselves are plastic, but they are not hollow and they seem to be made of a very durable plastic. They roll on low carpet quite well without a chair mat.
The shock and pedistal stand that holds the chair up seems quite sturdy, especially if you turn the knob on the seat tilt spring towards tight rather than loose. You can set it to loose so that the seat tilts, but to me, that makes the chair feel top heavy like it might tip over.
The seat back has racing seat style wings on it but they are far enough apart that you’d have to be a very wide person for your shoulders to hit them. I think they are there more for looks than anything.
I have scoliosis, so my lower back bothers me most of the time. While sitting in this chair, my back feels supported enough that it dosen’t start hurting after an extended time. So, if you have back and/or hip issues, this chair might be just the thing.
One thing I can think of that might be a negative is that if you are a really short person, you may find this chair too big for you. The lowest setting isn’t very low compared to some other chairs I’ve sat in. You also may find the arm rests to be too far apart, even after adjusting them, if you are a small person. This is a chair for big and tall people.
I don’t know if your chair will come this way when you order it, but mine came with a little pair of white cloth gloves. I did wear them while putting the chair together and it kinda helped hang onto some of the smooth metal parts while attaching them. The gloves got snagged and got a hole in the index finger of the left hand, so they aren’t super durable. I thought was a weird, but nice gesture to include them though. The Allen wrenches that came with the chair are chunky and durable, much better than what you usually get in such things. I actually kept them for a change.

It’s exactly what you see. Bought this as Christmas gift for my husband. He loves it! I definitely recommend this! So far we like it! It is big and so comfortable.

This thing is comfortable! The wide seat and back have made this my favorite AK Racing chair. I’m a big guy (6ft/295lbs) and finding a comfy, sturdy chair at a decent price point is hard. This one was on sale for $291.99 and I immediately jumped on it. My wife sat in it and immediately wanted one.
