At the price point, it would’ve been better with a 3060 graphics card instead of the 3050 it came with. Solid notebook for the price, though. I like that the style is kind of subdued, and not just a loud gaming laptop. Four zone LED’s on keys is very cool. Would’ve preferred more space for the 10-keys instead of having a nitrosense button there.

I really enjoy this laptop as I can play my games on here easily. The only issue I kinda have is that it’s kinda big so it’s not easy to move or to use for school. It runs easily and I haven’t had any other issues other than it being huge. I love how you can change the colors of the keyboard on the laptop as well.

Its a great laptop except for the sound. It doesn’t work at all and requires you to have headsets on at all time in order to hear any video or noise. I wish that this would be resolved but Best Buy said they couldnt help me since its been more than 15 days.

It has great value for the money. I’m one of those people who enjoys a larger screen, so this 17.3 in was right in my wheelhouse. Had two that are much better quality graphic card, a decent processor and RAM, And it’s kind of hard to beat. It works well with my quest to virtual reality headset as well. A couple of reviews have mentioned that the colors seem wash out? I know expert, but if I wanted super high-end video quality, I would have to spend a lot more than this. I’m entirely happy with the video quality on this. It was also a nice change that it was extremely easy to add both RAM, and a second SSD to this laptop. Some of the ones I’ve previously upgraded have required almost a complete teardown. This was just popping the bottom panel off, and everything was right there.
The only drawbacks I can find with it? It is kind of heavy, as a bunch of other reviews have mentioned. It’s not really meant to lug around all day. The other weird thing is that it was extremely difficult to fit into a generic laptop carrying case that specifically meant for 17.3 in laptops.
Overall? Positives waaaaaaaay outweigh the negatives here. For $750 on sale, you can’t beat it.

Had an older Nitro that would take 10 minutes to warm up to the point where i could start using it just to get into the internet. It would take another 5 minutes to load my game and my game would lag while playing. By contrast, this Nitro is super fast! It is ready to go immediately upon startup and takes less than 30 seconds to load my game. My game also runs so much faster on this laptop. Negatives: the edge is sharp and this is a heavy, hot laptop. If you use this on your lap like I do, you’ll want to put a barrier of some sort between you and the laptop that doesn’t make it even hotter. I use a usb, lightweight laptop fan pad. The edge of the laptop has a sharp edge, so if you rest your hand on the edge while using the trackpad, you’ll feel it cutting into your hand. I use a glove style cushioned wrist rest to combat the discomfort. This is also a really heavy laptop, so moving it with one hand can be a struggle depending on how far you’re lifting it. Even with these negatives, the speed, speakers, graphics, etc make this a worthwhile purchase imo. I kept my last laptop for 4+ years, and I expect this one will last even longer. It is my faborite splurge in years!

Stay far, far, far away from this computer, especially if you like using the audio. I purchased this computer February 13th. After a Windows update a couple of weeks ago, my audio stopped working. It didn’t recognize there was a speaker at all. Since it’s under warranty, I sent it in. I just got it back today and guess what?!? As soon as the required updates ran, the same thing happened. All Acer did was reset the computer. Then I called customer support, and they told me to “not install Windows updates then.” That’s the solution. Except my webcam needs the updates and so does my keyboard. So I can have one thing, but not everything I need to do my job. I bought this for work thinking it would be a great computer. It’s horrible. Acer customer service is horrible. I will never purchase another Acer again.

I got this as a mobile gaming setup while my main rig is being occupied. I’ve played MW2 DMZ with no issues on medium settings. I wouldn’t try and push this for high frames but it gets the job done considering what comes with it. I added extra ram to get to 16GB so it preforms way better. The install for extra SSD drives is easy as well, it’s all in the matter of removing some screws on the bottom to remove the plastic fascia.

Had it for about 1 year now. It’s held up well – we mostly use it for watching videos or playing games.
It has good brightness, fun light-up colors, crisp images, and nice keys for typing. Games run quick and with little lag. We mostly play small to medium games, such as small indie games or minecraft.
The volume is pretty low compared to other laptops I’ve had or seen, such as Lenovo Yoga’s and ASUS laptops. We have a Bluetooth Speaker that we use whenever we want to watch a Youtube video/etc together, because the volume doesn’t get loud enough for us. Headphone volume is good – it’s just the volume when not using headphones is bad.

Not a bad starter laptop to run some applications. Some games run fluid for 60fps on high settings. Some games are a bit more physically demanding and require more oomph to run it. Also, a fantastic laptop (excluding space) for anything office work despite how little ram it has.

Although quite pricey, it does run very smooth on multiple games. I got this for my girlfriend so she could play the sims 4. ( I know, almost a thousand bucks so she can play the sims…) While I will always recommend a PC over a gaming laptop, I will say this one does very well. The Sims 4 runs smoothly with god knows how many add on packs that she has bought. It also runs minecraft around 4-500 FPS at high settings. Those are about the only games she has played on it. All in all, I would say this computer was worth the buy.

from the 3050, to the RAM and SSDD.. this laptop truly captivates speed in tremendous ways.
COD, Fort, Val.. and so many more games can run at a STABLE 144Hz. There are no downsides as this flawlessly performed well over the average when it came to the SteamVR test.

Awesome budget gaming laptop easy to upgrade the big screen is a great bonus! Only downside of this laptop is the battery life and temperatures rising alittle when in use for constant use gaming other then that awesome laptop had myne dual booted and cpu was able to handle all work.

I bought this laptop because I thought it would be good for gaming but I’ve had it for a year and it is already falling apart. The sound barely works it is so quiet that I had to add a Google Chrome extension just to get the volume up. The red pieces on the back have started coming off and a piece of the side has fallen off completely. The battery is also just completely crap when playing a game it only lasts about 30 minutes depending on the game, and if it does last a little longer it is burning hot. The fans are not quiet at all and barely work. Do better acer

After 3 laptops from one of the most popular manufacturers, I finally have a solid high-performance machine. This laptop is well built with key internal components that will serve me well for quite some time. Ample storage space and speed are its key points. One improvement I would have liked to see is the Harmon Kardon speakers. Additionally, they should have been placed at the top, in front of the screen, rather than under the front corners, where they are cushioned if you have the computer resting on your lap. Other than that, I’m very happy with Acer.
