Great price for a great quality controller! Buttons are not mushy or sticky. Charges quickly and can use it for a really decent amount of time before a recharge is needed. Can use it on a switch, pc, or retropi.

Hands down the best third party controller. Sticks move very smooth yet are solid in place (also are very resistant to stick drift), Face buttons feel nice, battery lasts a very long time, connecting is very easy, and comes with a downloadable custom profile software on your pc to customize buttons, You can set macros, turbo, and set trigger sensitivity to your liking with 3 different profiles available. I bought 2 of these, an older gray one to give to my friend and the black one. I have yet to have an issue with either. And if you do manage to break a part of the controller they have a website where you can order parts and replace them yourself. The price it’s at feels like a robbery for how good it performs and plays considering I have big hands, and controllers like the Dualsense feel very uncomfortable. Would 100% buy again.

One of the best controllers I’ve evere bought, after buying this one i had to go back for the lite and the 8bitdo ultimate. Theyre good controllers with alot of functions, plus the compatibility over multiple devices and the ability to edit keybinds whenever with the app is useful!

Besg buy hasnt updated their page for some of the 8bitdo products, but the bluetooth ones all work with mac, ios, ipados, and tvos! Just go tk their website for instructions to pair. Box isnt updated for a lot of them but they should work!

The backside buttons could not be assigned in the game I tried to use it with even though Windows recognized them.
Could not pair it via Bluetooth and Windows and it does not come with a USB dongle. The cord is very short.

I have an 8bitdo dongle for when im docked but wireless and even when docked this controller does not fail has the classic SNES controller feel but the handgrips give it comfort

I got this as an open box, and I really just wanted an extra controller for an Android phone. It worked perfectly out of the box, and the open aspect was not a problem at all. I like just about every aspect of it. One thing I didn’t know about was the little switch on the back where you can change its mode between 1 of 4 options. This is critical for Android, otherwise the buttons are unintuitive by default (B is confirm, A is back). Once I figured this out from the instructions, it worked great. One complaint I have is that the extra buttons on the back can easily be hit by mistake, and they seem to default to actually do something, but I like the flexibility. Also, I believe the triggers are digital and not analog (not the bumpers but the triggers) but I could be wrong about that. This does everything I need it for though (retro gaming). My main controller is still the 8BitDo SN30, but this is good for a change and has some nice grips (specifically asked for by my daughter).

This is one of the best controllers, period. Great build quality, easy to use software on mobile and pc, and a fantastic replacement/alternative to the switch pro controller. Only downsides are you need to update the firmware once you buy it and it can’t wake the switch. Other than that, I still use this controller over the offical one in most cases. 8 bitdo is a high quality brand and I reccommend their products any day.

This is a long-term review as I have owned and used this controller regularly for 2 years now.
My most favorite feature is its inter-connectivity as I have been able to easily use this controller on my PC, Nintendo Switch, and phone and switch seamlessly between them just be moving the dipswitch in the back accordingly. The controller using a USB C connection is great and it’s infinitely better in durability than the older micro USB standard.
The overall button quality is good, although the analog sticks are inferior in control and responsiveness to modern Xbox controllers imo, but they’re still very usable and good. Not the biggest fan of the D-pad, but I also haven’t used it too much admittedly. Has gyro capabilities, but only when it’s being used as a Switch controller I think and also think it cannot wake up the Switch. Its layout where the analog sticks are pretty close to the primary buttons on the right side can lead to some hand discomfort after long game sessions, but using claw grip has helped me here. Its overall build quality beats any third-party controller I’ve used in the past, although it’s not as nice as first-party controllers.
This controller is durable as after two years of regular, almost daily use, wear and tear is noticeable only on the analog sticks (see image). The controller is still completely functional though, just kind of ugly/gross due to my corrosive hands lol (perhaps covers for the analog sticks are something to consider). Battery life is very good as I can use it for multiple days before needing to charge it. It can be a little finicky with turning back on when trying to turn it off but this is kind of a nitpick.
Overall, a really good, reliable controller with great connectivity that has withstood the test of time and has been well worth its price (bought while on discount). Highly recommended especially when on sale!

I really like 8BitDo controllers. The buttons are just clicky enough, directional pad feels great. I have also not experience controller drift with the sticks.
I use it to play retro games. If you need a controller, I’d recommend checking them out.

My 17 year old son loves it for shooter games, but there are some games where the keyboard and mouse is better than the controller. In short, if your focus is on shooter games, this is amazing and well worth it.
