    This kit is very easy to install. It did not fit very well in the space that I was using for my microwave and I had to awkwardly cut into the shelving to support the frame. The manufacturer could’ve added a few more screw holes for better flexibility for installation.

    This trim kit looks really sharp and the installation was straight forward. The only downside is the trim kit was as much as the microwave, but that’s pretty typical with trim kits.

    No missing pieces. Good enough instructions. I did not need a handyman to fix this in place. It was a bit tricky to align the top screws, but I managed to fine. Goes well with the microwave.

    The installers left it in an open box in the middle of the kitchen floor. It’s still not installed, more than a month after ordering it. Hopefully Best Buy will correct the problem.

    The LG microwave oven and matching trim kit recommended by the Best Buy sales staff are both great. But the contracted vendor for installation was a disaster sending two young men who obviously did not know what they were doing who erroneously claimed that it was not the right trim kit, and then in the next visit correct wood in my kitchen counter. I love Best Buy but will never allow this contracted vendor in my house again.

    pretty easy to install, but why does is it cost more than the microwave? instructions aren’t clear installing the piece on the side as far as how fwd it should be (i.e. too door or before door).

    Perfect fit but seriously pricey. Get ready for fingerprints – they WILL be there. (Too bad a kit didn’t come with the microwave.). When you purchase 4 thin pieces of metal and pay as much as you did for the microwave it’s kind of a necessary evil.

    The included directions are worthless. The installation is time consuming. After dry fitting the pieces, it appears thatt he kit is designed so that the base sits flush with the front of the cabinet. If the front of the cabinet is higher than the shelf, you will need to either cut the front down to shelf level or build up the bottom to raise the bottom level with the cabinet opening. We opted to build up the rear of the base with two 2x4s and an excess piece of toe kick to get the base level with the front of the cabinet. By building up, we maintained the cabinet reveal around the trim that we would have lost if cutting down. LG needs a better and cheaper solution since the trim kit costs more than the microwave.

    looks great, but why would it cost more than the Microwave oven? I would recommend this only because it finished the look we were after.

    Looks good but required some extra steps during install. Frame pieces from the trim aren’t wide enough requiring me to screw in some extra wood for my opening. Wasn’t super hard, but did add an hour or so of extra work. Overall happy. Rest of the install was pretty simple. Looks good.

    It functions as intended – however, the price is out of control and far exceeds the value of the item. Why does the trim cost so much more than the microwave itself?….because it is a proprietary design that only works with LG microwaves – they have basically manufactured value for this item by making it proprietary and then charging an arm and a leg. Shame on the manufacturer. Shame on Best Buy.

    The trim kit is fine, but this is an exorbitant amount to pay. It is more than the microwave and each brand has a different size and style, so you need to replace.

    The product sent to me was obviously open box but charged for brand new. There was word “OK” written on the tape on one of the parts, fingerprints all over the teim and a dent on it. I am very frustrated with this and for wasting so much of my time. This is for trim that costs a lot more than the microwave itself.

    At over $300 and well over the price of the actual microwave, LG knew exactly what they were doing by making a ton of money off of people that wanted to have a clean look for the microwave. After reading reviews, watching videos and doing my measurements I knew this was not going to be an easy install but it is what would fit for the space I had. Regardless, my wife wanted the clean finish look of the microwave installed into cabinets.

    The instructions are horrible, and some videos of users installing them on Youtube are helpful but you’ll still need to figure out a lot on your own. My biggest issue is the two front pieces that screw into the cabinet face (which the faceplate of this attaches to) are VERY frustrating to get level and lined up perfectly. Come prepared and get some shims and measure 3 times before drilling or attaching (a solid rule to live by). It took me a solid 2+ hours total, but in the end got it level and exactly how I wanted it.

    I personally would not recommend this but my wife loves the look. I think it looks slick, but seeing that $300 price tag every time I look at it is very frustrating.

    So far so good. Only thing i would complain about is the cost. To get the trim kit with the microwave is pricy, but they all are. So far i love the microwave (all 3 weeks of it)

    It’s not just the trim kit but also the microwave that it surrounds. The look is great, the functioning is perfect and I couldn’t be happier. The great thing about the trim kit is that the Best Buy got measurement right and installed it quickly after the nicrowave was installed. Best Buy…you rock!

    Very poor instructions. New microwave is replacing a bigger one and didn’t know needed to attach bracing to cabinet, so have to add wood strip within the measurement of the pieces. No easy to install, but once installed, it does look good.

    Expect a lot more from LG!

    Trim kit is a bit of a pain to install. The cut outs work well but the instructions are lacking. The trim pieces have to have something to mount to and the instructions just show screws gowing to nothing.

    Fit great! struggled to find the right one with another company and no one was able to help us find the right fit until we went to Best Buy. They measured the size and lead us to the best fit.
