Never spent this much on rice a cooker, that being said, after tasting the rice and seeing how consistent all the rice is I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Does take twice the time than a regular cooker, but well worth the wait. Makes my meal prep much easier and also tastier than using my stovetop and having to monitor that. Set and forget with this and it keeps warm for a long time. Have yet to try the Umami setting. Cooks amazing brown rice, white rice, basmati, jasmine & even oatmeal. Try to wait for a sale if possible for better value.

I bought this rice cooker for my parents because I felt it was time to replace the current one that is possibly older than me.
It cooks porridge and everything with no problems, I don’t know how to explain it but the rice has a hint of sweetness now and tastes amazing.
The rice is always cooked perfectly no matter what, definitely worth the money.
I’m hoping it lasts as long as the old Zojirushi that my family has used for the past 30 years.
