I actually owned an earlier iteration of the Withings scale and had it linked to the Withings application on my smartphone. I love the way it integrates with the other applications on my phone and allows me to follow trend data regarding my weight and body fat percentage. This newest iteration of the scale takes things up a notch with a full color display and additional body metrics, such as muscle mass, visceral fat, heart rate, bone mass, body water, and BMI. It also displays the weather in my area, along with the air quality outside (although I have no idea what I can do about the outside air quality).
The setup of the scale was very simple using the Withing application on my phone and the application itself is really nice at trending my data points. When set up appropriately on my phone, it also gives me the opportunity to share that data with other applications on my phone (while also being able to integrate data received from those other apps within the Withings application as well).
Another nice feature is that the scale can accommodate additional people and track their data as well. I do not know what the limit is for the number of people that can be tracked, but I currently have four people in my household that are tracked (including myself).
While one may wonder just how technologically advanced a scale can (or should) be, I really like this scale, its color display, and the way in which it connects to my phone (and home wi-fi) seamlessly to help me track/trend my health data. If you are looking for a nice scale that uploads data to an application that allows for this functionality, this is an awesome scale for that.

I never thought I would want or need a smart scale….
But this Withings smart body scale had me curious…
Setup was a cinch. I downloaded the Android app created an account and linked to my Google fit account and I was all set. Connecting to wifi and all that was pretty seamless. These days hardware developers are doing better with making this easier to do.
I ended up setting up multiple profiles for my entire family. So that was neat….
It took several readings for the scale tomorrow who is who so the algorithm was decent.
The additional data like visceral fat, HR, etc was good information. The instructions say that at the end of the month you will get a nerve reading. I have not demoed this long enough to get that reading but that would be an interesting metric to see.
Design is super simple. The scale comes with sliders so you can use it on wood floors and the rubber pads don’t catch. White is clean slick modern look. Display is color and simple to see. If you need glasses this screen is a little small so just be aware of that.
Only con I had was that my kid stepped off the scale slightly off center and it caused the scale to pivot up like a seesaw and it came down and banged on the floor and the batteries popped out. If there is a design change for future models I would recommend that they square off the edges to prevent this in the future.
Other than that, pretty neat scale that gives you all lot of data to track health.
I would recommend this product if you are in the market for such a device.

When I got these scales I honestly didn’t know what to expect from them as I never heard of the company who makes them but I was quick to learn about them being someone that has a weight problem along with health issues (type2 diabetes, asthma and Afib). Knowing that I personally need to loose the weight that I have I found out that this set of scales would document things that I actually couldn’t remember to do it has so many features and was relatively easy to set up along with the app even though my first time trying them it did show an error which did kind of made me worry but come to find out after doing a reinstall of the scales on the app and leaving them alone until the next morning then using them for the first time it showed no errors. If your like me you will want to get this set of scales and weigh yourself daily to make the best of a healthy choice as I said it does most if not all of the work for you once it sends it to your phone to record it in the app the only thing you have to do manually is your bp if you don’t have the wireless BP cuff that the company makes. Which for me might be the next investment that I get to go with this product which for me would be worth while with my Afib. The best thing is after having the scales for a week and weighing 240.7 I have watched my weight go up and then back down and showed my PCP the results after 7 days along with the med that he put me on I now weigh in at 232.2 a great big lose of 8.6 pounds and it might start staying off this time around but only time will tell. Pros for this set of scales are easy set up and recording everything for you and being able to buy other Items from Withings which you can find on they’re site. The one and only con was the only error that popped up which was on the last setup when stepping on the scales where it showed an error on body. Other than that one thing they’re a get set of scales and well worth getting the and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone

This scale is so much more than a scale. Sure it measures weight, but does so much more. Thin in size it is designed to be placed on a hard surface out of the box. Want to put it on a carpet? Add the enclosed feet for that application. That is odd. To me there should be feet for the hard surface as well. Instead the unit sits on its ‘tube’ feet. Wifi enabled this scale works hand and hand with the Whitings app to offer you more than scale options. Setup to my wifi went smoothly. The wifi connects the data from the scale to the app to track data. You can have more than one user which is a good feature. My wife and I both set accounts. You do have to get to bare feet to weigh yourself and record the other features. The scale face is glass. This scale records bmi, muscle mass, water content, body mass, heart rate, body water and more. I cannot speak to the accuracy of these types of readings as there is no real way to calibrate, short of comparing at your Doctor’s office. Yet, I find great value in a product of this type because it, at the very least, gives you some data to examine and track. Awareness will make your health better if for nothing else it informs you of your health. What makes this a 4 star review versus a 5 star is that the app is a bit balky. It is full of content. Somewhat confusing and really could use a streamline. I find it not entirely user friendly. I am still trying to work through some features and understand how to access via the app. I think Withings has a good product here. Fix the app in future updates and it could be great.

I admittedly never considered a scale as anything more than a way to track your weight loss or gain so the idea of the Withings Body Smart Advanced Body Composition Scale intrigued me. With a family history of various health concerns I have started to pay attention to as much of my health details as possible using various smart devices and apps to help me better understand things.
Setting this scale up was fairly simple. Downloading the Withings app and following the guided prompts made it quick although an update was required and slowed things down a little. Once past all of that I was able to setup my profile and connect the data recorded by the scale to my iPhone Health App as well as other apps that I use so that an even wider collection of my health data could be compiled. Being able to share a report that includes your data like weight details like BMI and Fat Mass, Resting Heart Rate, Activity details, etc is also extremely helpful.
Seeing info that delves deeper than just my weight in pounds was eye opening. The Body Composition Breakdown was especially refreshing giving details or Visceral Fat Index, Lean Mass, Water Mass, etc as well as the corresponding result made it clear what areas needed to be worked on and where I was doing well. There is also an area where you can track your food intake. Although the app shares data with other apps that I choose as well as the iPhone Health App there are a few places you can view all or almost all of the data instead of relying on each individual app, but the insights and informative info provided in the Withings app definitely makes it beneficial to use the Withings App frequently. There are some tracking options that require other Withings products if interested but I found that it’s not necessary if you have other devices that already track that data. It is also a nice touch to see info like local air quality appear on the scale screen after weighing yourself for the day. It’s not a need but it’s a nice feature to see along with the other info that cycles through (such as the BMI info and others that will also be seen in the app if you are like me and sometimes don’t fully pay attention to the details cycling on the scale).
Overall this is a product I never realized that I needed but completely appreciate now.

I’m upgrading from a more basic ‘smart scale’ that syncs via Bluetooth.
I didn’t realize how much more convenient this scale is.
I opted for the white scale as it blends better with the light gray tiles in the bathroom I’m using it on. It’s all great looking white glass with the metal accent center, except for the black LCD screen. It looks nice.
It’s powered by 4 AAA alkaline batteries that according to the manufacturer should last over a year. Batteries are included.
The scale supports both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (2.4 Ghz only).
Initial pairing was very simple and without issues: Install the Withings app on the phone. Then remove the battery tab from the scale and upon registering it works. It uses Bluetooth for initial setup and the guided installation was clear and did not have any issues with it. Worked on the first try. For reference, we use iPhones.
Withings is a French company with a long history of producing health products, so it gives me more confidence that my account information will be handled properly.
The scale measures weight at 0.1 lb. precision. It also measures body composition data as muscle mass, fat mass and bone mass, which also breaks down as visceral fat index, lean mass and water mass. It also measures hear rate.
Standing on the scale takes a few seconds. It first measures weight, and with that it correlates to who is using it. Then it displays in sequence all the other measurements ending with heart rate. If connected over WiFi, it finishes up by displaying weather and air quality based on internet data.
The screen is full color and very easy to read. This is an improvement from older models that have a simpler LED screen.
No phone is needed while using the scale. When connected over Wi-Fi, it will sync to the Withings account directly. If WiFi is not available, it does use Bluetooth to connect directly to a phone.
It integrates with several other health apps. I’m using it with Apple Health, which is done via the phone and the Withings app.
I also use Fitbit and for that I had to search how, but it’s simple, via fitbit.com/weight/withings . It can also connect to IFTTT and several other integrations. It seems that this company is ahead when it comes to integrations.
My older Bluetooth scale did a poor job of supporting multiple users. This is the best I’ve seen yet:
For adults, it gives the option of either add multiple people to the same Withings account, or each person have their own personal account, which are private from each other: Once the first user adds the scale to their account, they can invite other adults to share the scale.
For kids under 16, or for sharing the account, one can add up to 8 users per scale.
The scale detects different users by weight. Our kids are close in weight so this is not perfect. If it gets the wrong user, there are two choices: Either get off the scale, in which the measurement will go to a special section on the app that allows to assign it to the right user, or one can quickly step on one foot on the scale to select the correct user. The more the scale is used, this should work better. It’s not perfect but it’s better than other solutions.
Subscription: Of course Withings offers different health coach subscription plans that works better if one has more than just the scale, but there is no requirement to actually pay for a subscription to get the raw data from the scale. They’re not pushy so far on the app.
Overall it’s a fantastic scale. Withings is a very reputable French company with a good track record. At some point they used to be part of Nokia but they’ve been independent again for some years now. The Wi-Fi + Bluetooth system makes a great difference and the multi-user setup actually works. Screen is very nice and it’s superior to other scales.
Withings has other models of scales that cost two or three times more that provide more advanced data although this is model is the sweet spot for us.

The title of my review says it: after using this for the last week and already realizing how amazing and simple for use and accountability this scale is, I am left wondering, why did I take so long to get one?
This takes the typically arduous (and, sometimes, embarrassing) process of weighing yourself and then tracking it in the Health app (for iOS) users and totally puts it on autopilot with the easy connection to the Withings app! I am already enjoying watching the trend lines of my body stats plot out and I am going to continue to enjoy it as I start working on some of my weight loss and workout goals!
Something to know, first of all, is that this new lineup of Withings smart scales is FSA/HSA eligible. This will be great for those of you wanting to use those expiring FSA funds on something beneficial to your health. Another thing to know from my experience is that while this can be a little finicky to set up with the app at first if you are any kind of tech savvy at all, you will figure it out quickly as the app guides you through the connection and Wi-Fi setup process! The only hang-up I had in the whole process was the firmware update for the scale which I had to restart when it weirdly froze in the middle of it. I just restarted it by removing one of the AAA batteries from the scale (included) and starting the setup process over again. After that, the rest of the setup was easy and I was up and rolling, able to send my wife the invite link from the app so we could get both of our profiles set up!
Now, using this scale with two or more users: could not be easier! When you step on the scale, it takes your weight and before it records it, it flashes your name up on the screen with a prompt to shift your weight right or left to move to the next name if needed to continue the setup! My wife and I are able to effortlessly change who is being tracked when we each use the scale and we are both successfully logging our stats in our separate Withings app profiles on each of our phones!
Another thing I wanted to mention is that I think that Withings needs to update the pictures on the product page for the device because the screen images look WAAAYYY better than the old black and pixelated boxes on the previous screen. I actually was astonished when I first used this scale at how nice the color screen looks listing out all of my metrics like weight, muscle mass, body fat, etc.
Altogether, this specific scale at this price point is going to offer what most people need in the way of basic body composition stats and smart tracking. Some are going to want to opt for the nearly double-in-price model that “does it all” including scanning nerves, but I did not feel that was necessary for my present health standing. Thanks for reading and I hope this review helps with some good pointers!

This is a really cool smart scale and I have been excited to use it to track my progress. I chose the white color as it stands out more and the LCD display looks great in contrast. Here are a few reasons why I went with Withings Body Smart Scale:
1. It is a Wi-Fi enabled scale, allowing me to use the specially created app that gives me a a number of ways to track my body weight, BMI, full body composition (body fat and water percentage, plus muscle and bone mass), and much more.
2, Weight and accuracy: Digital scales are highly accurate as long as they have viable batteries. I would suggest to use it only on a level hard floor, do not use it on a carpet!
3. Love its design and display: this scale with a digital display is the easiest to read.
4. It is light in weight and can be stored practically anywhere.
This smart scale can be used as a regular scale without its bells and whistles as well, so if you are intimidated by its connection to Wi-Fi and an app, just use it as is. I think it is pretty affordable and easy to use. Definitely recommend it to any one looking to track your weigh loss or gain.

The Body Smart Scale is a major step up from a traditional weight scale. Not only is it capable of providing accurate readings of your weight, but it can also measure your heartbeat and body composition. I was very pleased with the setup process. It was very seamless and I did not have any issues installing the app and setting up the scale. The screen on the scale displays the different steps during setup while using the app. During setup, the app requires you to setup a profile. Your profile keeps a record of all of your reading whenever you use the scale. It keeps a record of your weight, body composition, heart rate, and other measurements that you have enabled in the app. You can also share the scale with others by inviting them and allowing them to setup up their own profile. The design up the scale is top notch and very good build quality. The scale has 4 feet that have rubber at the bottom, which allows the scale to stay in place when used on tile floors. It also comes with 4 plastic legs that can be used on other floor surfaces. Overall, I’m enjoying the body smart scale and everything it has to offer.

The Withings Body Smart scale is the 2nd step in the body lineup, between the base Body and Body Comp models.
The scale itself is well constructed and looks like it will last a while. Something I’ve never seen before is the included “carpet” feet. These feet are larger saucer shaped feet that snap on the small rubber “hard floor” feet to add stabilization if you are using the product on a carpeted surface.
This is not my first body monitoring scale but it is my first smart scale. Setting up the app was clunky but was successful for the first user. Unfortunately, it took three attempts to get the second user added. You have two options when adding additional users – first you can add them in your app and everyone’s information is contained in the one app. The second is having the users download the app and “attach” their accounts to the scale which is the method we are using since my wife tracks her health as well on her phone and I really don’t need to access her info.
The app does share and collect data from multiple platforms including Apple Health and presents them all to you at a glance. It also uses this additional data to present you with guidance to achieve your goals as part of the Withings + monthly subscription. I like that you seemingly do not lose any data points if you do not subscribe.
The scale is supposed to know each individual user and automatically send that date to the correct account. This was somewhat problematic for the 2nd user. The scale uses the weight to match users and selects users based on +/- 11 pounds. There is significantly more than 11 pounds between my wife and I however, the scale routinely misses her. All is not lost, these non-identified data points are listed in the app and easily attached to a specific user. I did notice when doing this, the unidentified data shows up on both phones/accounts and once added it wasn’t removed from the other users app. Just a bit of house cleaning needed there.
The scale is quick to display weight but does take about a minute to roll through the different measurements and show the daily weather. You can select which screens you want to see at each weighing though. The display is bright and easy to read, another plus.
Having multiple health issues, I really like seeing the composition measurements – especially the visceral fat, which is the fat surrounding our organs.
I give the Withings Body Smart scale four stars, taking away one star for the difficulty with the app. I imagine future updates can/will fix these issues. Otherwise, I would recommend the Body Smart scale to anyone looking for a reasonably priced health monitoring option.

This is a nifty, smart scale that is packed with a lot of features and wellness integration that I found to be very useful. First, I like the design and construction. I found to be very well-made. Color LED screen, sharp and contemporary up to standards to other modern tech.
I thought the set up was not very difficult, and from the moment you turn on the scale it walks you through the set up process, including the essential app associated with the device. The app was easy enough to navigate, which required me to put in my baseline measurable‘s, including age and height. One surprising and nice feature was the fitness and wellness integration which links to other apps, including the Apple health app. So it does keep track of your exercise and fitness levels as well. This can make it easier to reach your goals which you can input as well.
One downside, is that if you have an accidental body weight reading , the scale doesn’t know it and you have to manually delete it, so it doesn’t mess up the data trends. The app does take a little bit of exploration and playing around with it to fully unlock and appreciate all its features but I don’t think it’s much of a learning curve. I think overall it’s an OK app, and the scale itself works as intended. Just a little buggy but I think it will be worked out.
I don’t think you can go wrong with the price for the feature set and What you’re getting. I do recommend it.

The Withings Body Smart Advanced Body Composition Smart Wi-Fi Scale is my trust health aide . Most people have a love/hate relationship, but I lean heavily towards the love side with this one. The scale has a premium, solid build quality. Unlike most scales, the placeholder for feet is very spacious. I’m able stand comfortably while the scale took my down my measurements. Setup was easy as the app carefully guided me to get up and running. I tracked my weight, body fat percentage, and other details over the course of a week. So far, these numbers have been very accurate. I own a different scale with similar capabilities, and the numbers resemble very closely to each other. I’m able to view details clearly on the scale, and get additional information from the app which really brings things together. From the app, I’m able to make a plan, get tips, and track my progress. Overall, I’m very impressed. The Withings scale has been a great asset thus far for my weight loss journey and has convinced me to ditch my other scale.

If you are serious about your health, you need to make use of all the new technologies that will help you reach your goals. This scale, in my opinion, is one of the must haves. It measures all your vital body stats and allows you to analyze the trends and take appropriate actions. Here are some details and observations after 2 weeks of regular use.
The setup was quick and intuitive. You pull the tab on the back out and activate the batteries, download the “Withings Health Mate” app, press on the back for three seconds for setup mode. Then just follow the instructions on the scale and the app.
The scale allows up to 8 user profiles which should be more than enough for most of the families. Each member (16 years or older) in your family will need to install the app on their phone and create an account. The scale automatically identifies the person after the first use. For younger family members, you will need to create a manual account.
It has a tough glass platform and a simple design. The platform is quite large so people with big feet can also easily use it. It has a big colorful display which is easy to read. The measurements are quick and get stored in the withings app so you can monitor the trend.
Here are the metrics that it records: Weight, BMI, Visceral Fat, Lean Mass, Water Mass and Hear Rate. It also shows the weather report and air quality which I find useful as I usually weigh myself in the morning while getting ready for the day.
The health mate app is excellent. It allows you sync data with other fitness apps on your phone. On the android platform (Samsung Galaxy S22+), I was able to connect with Samsung Health, Health Connect, Strava, Google Fit. So, you can use app your choice as your central health dashboard.
Overall, I am very happy with this smart scale and highly recommend it. It allows me to keep a tab on my body weight and other vital stats as well as share them with other fitness apps. This allows to gain insights into all aspects of your fitness regime.

This Withings Body Smart Scale in white is a loaded smart scale that tells you everything you want to know about your weight, body fat, water weight, heart rate, BMI, and more. There is an application that you use with it that can be downloaded for free from the app store on your device. It’s called Withings. With this app, you can track your progress, and other users too. The app is great and you can pair the scale with the app via WIFI or Bluetooth. I had an easier time pairing it with Bluetooth than I did WIFI, but it works with both and I used both to test the scale. The scale, unlike most others, can be used on carpet too. When you use it on carpet, there are 4 feet that you attach to the bottom of the scale. They are included in the box with the scale. The app is just as impressive as the scale. There are certain features that work with WIFI only and certain features that work only in Athlete Mode. The different modes are: Athlete Mode, Weigh Only Mode and Eyes Closed Mode. The eyes closed mode, the weight only displays in the app and not on the scale. This is a really great scale, and I like the features it has. The only issue I had was keeping it on WIFI, so I switched to Bluetooth, otherwise everything about it, including the app, is fantastic. I will note that it goes up to 440 pounds and has a baby mode too that weighs babies at least 7 pounds to 30 pounds. Great scale.

This is a solid quality smart scale for a decent price. The companion phone app can very much help with long term tracking and progress towards goals. I have been on a weight loss journey myself for the last 2 years. Over that time frame I have lost 130+ pounds. I very much wish I had owned this scale for that entire time frame to have been able to visualize that weight loss and progress. I am the only user of the scale, but it seems to have a pretty cool feature of setting up user profiles and detecting who steps on it. One of my favorite things is the morning recap as I always weigh in first thing in the morning. You step on the scale, it shows your weight, BMI, progress on a graph, the daily weather, and even the air quality. Very nice and handy way to get the day started. The hardware itself is very nice and sturdy.
The only negative thing I have to say is the BMI portion and I don’t think this is against this particular scale itself. As a part of my weight loss I have done several body scans at my gym. My most recent scan put me at around 18% body fat but the BMI on the scale puts me at around 30. This is just how it works and should be expected if you are in a similar situation. Keep that in mind, and remember that progress is progress even if that number seems high! As long as it keeps getting lower, you’re winning the race.

I love that I can weigh myself every day again and know whether my weight is going up or down. Love all the features of this scale.

My first smart scale.
I’m loving it!!
With all the information on body composition
I’m amazed and excited to get even healthier.

Scale does not sync with Apple HealthKit. The specifications claims it does. I worked once or twice and then quit. Worked with their support department. The only support offered was “integration is coming, just wait”. Got tried of waiting. Exchanged for Garmin scale.

I purchased this scale to pair with my new Apple Watch. It arrived in 2 days as promised, and had easy, clear instructions for set-up. You do have to download the Withings App – between that and my Apple Watch app, there is a lot of great health data. So far, very happy!
