    Awesome air purifier. This is the second one I’ve bought. I bought one for my son’s room and it was great so I bought another for mine. Very happy with it. The charcoal filter has a plastic honeycomb design with actual pieces of charcoal in it. Most have a foam filter infused with charcoal which isn’t as effective. Highly recommend.

    I use this thing every single day. Keeps the air moving in my bedroom at night, has a sleep timer, cleaning the filter is a easy, and it is lightweight to easily move to other rooms. I would buy another

    This unit may go back. I’ve had it just a few days. It doesn’t come on nearly as often as my Shark purifier. It also seems to go to sleep constantly. I called the company today. They said when the room is dark, the unit will go to sleep. This means it won’t turn itself to a higher setting if the air quality changes. The unit just went to sleep in a well- lit room. I wish there was a way to make it stay on.

    I never realized how dirty the air was till I plugged this in. its really changed my breathing and lessened the allergies that I suffer from when it gets too dusty. it also removes the odor from cooking or the smoke from cooking. would recommend in every household.

    This air purifier is very quiet and works really well. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats so my home is always full of fur. This takes care of it and I love that it adjusts throughout the day.

    I own a very beautiful home not to far from a very smelly paper factory. Unfortunately, the smell seeps into my home from time to time so I purchased this air purifier to assist with the smell. I’ve used it twice and it was effective on the highest setting. It is a fan so I’m not sure if it’s removing odor or blowing air. If this purifier continues to work well, I will purchase a second one for another section of my home.

    Awesome product for its value and even the filters are relatively cheap.., this thing runs 24 hours a day seven days a week I have one of my living room, and I bought one for my bedroom and the one of my living room. The amount of dust that then catches is astonishing. Also, the front filter is washable and then you add the carbon behind that and the filter itself HEPA that gets replaced and they all come in a single box for like 50 bucks my allergies have went down, and I have ferrets and also helps with odor for the price you can’t beat this. It’s got a turbo mode the first one I had I think two years and it runs for 24 hours straight. We have a 1253 foot square.. if you were looking for value, don’t look anywhere else. This is the product you want…. I have one of my bedroom and one of my living room and I have one downstairs and the basement…

    This product is incredible, I have said goodbye to my dust allergies. Thinking about buying a second one so I don’t have to move this first one around to different rooms with me. Only small problem is the fan which makes a quiet squeaking sound sometimes, but its very hard to notice.

    Best purchase from Best Buy all year long my air quality has increased severely since I set it up in my room now I’m able to sleep longer periods of time in a smoking household without being able to notice fumes outside of my room keeps my clothes fresh as well since I don’t have a sliding door for my closet. Even has hourly settings so it could automatically turn off when I’m not home and it comes with a remote.

    I did a lot of research on The Winix 5500-2 which seems to have good performance reviews all over the internet. It’s a great value purifier especially since it contains an activated carbon filter with pelletized carbon within a honeycomb and mesh housing, and not the thin impregnated fabric, which has little absorption capacity and does little. The replacement filters aren’t too expensive when you consider the carbon and pre-screen filters are both washable and will extend the time between filter replacement. The power consumption is low

    Had this machine for a month and love it. Did much research on air purifiers to come to this conclusion. It performs extremely well, quite and has an energy star certification with an automatic function so you dont have to monitor it. It has a great price and very nice look. Highly recommended this WINIX Tower Air Purifier.

    I love this air purifier so much that I have 2 for my house. It removes odors. The highest mode is noisy but works quickly. The lower modes are very quiet. My only complaint is the giant blue light that I can’t turn off. When I use it in my bedroom I cover all the lights with black electrical tape and that works. But there should be an option to run it at normal speeds and turn off all the lights. “Night mode” still has a light and runs so low that you might as well turn it off. I would prefer a way to disable it making any noises as well. When you plug it in, it plays a tune, so if your power goes out in the middle of the night and then comes back on, you get woken up by the tune. When you then turn it on, it again plays the tune, so the “plugged in” tune is redundant. All that said, the air filter is so good that I bought a second one.

    Lightweight, compact, and nice design. The sensor seems to pick certain scents better than others, such as hand sanitizers will give a positive for air contamination and the fan would turn to high setting if auto is on. However, if there is any smoke or other fumes, this might take a while for it to register. The fan seems powerful, and seems like the odor removal works as expected.
