We bought this as a 2nd one for our house. It’s amazing how much dust & stuff floats around. Put this one in our bedroom hoping for better sleep.

It’s very quite & easy to operate. When I sprayed some hair spray – about 15ft away – the red light came on to denote the air needed cleaning. That amazed me! In a short time, the air was clear & no more red light. Doesn’t take much to entertain me! Now, I constantly watch the purifier to see what color it is.

I bought this air purifier to use in my wife’s home office, to help alleviate her allergy symptoms. After one month of use, it seems to be doing the job. Her use of tissues has dropped significantly.
The unit is quiet on low and medium speeds. High speed is louder, as expected.
The Auto feature works well. When my neighbor starts their truck, some exhaust enters my house, and the unit ramps up to high.
At night, the unit changes to sleep mode, dimming the displays.
Overall, I recommend this Winix.

I dont think it did as described. It was more like a fan and cooled the room with the furnace running which made the furnace run more. It does use alot of electricity and if the blue like gets something on it, it then smells and smokes. I didnt trust that it wouldnt catch on fire. So i retired it. I wouldnt recommend it.

I am amazed how well this works. I have 4 of these at home and it makes a huge difference. They are very quiet, filters last a long time (I clean pre-screen regularly and change yearly). Having 3 dogs and hardwood floors throughout the house, these really keep dust and hair very low while leaving air very fresh. I am an allergy sufferer and these have been very helpful.

I was looking for three things in an air cleaner:
1) Availability (ordered Nov 17, delivered Nov 22).
2) AHAM certification.
3) Affordability.
This product checked all three boxes. It runs very quiet. It’s almost impossible to hear at the lowest speed. You can definitely hear it when it’s on high, but that’s to be expected.
The sensor seems to be accurate. It tends to go yellow if I’m cooking and a bit of food hits a heating element on the stove or oven. I sprayed Windex on the glass door right next to the unit this week, and the sensor noticed immediately.

This is the same unit used by my wife’s school district in every classroom since COVID, so it might have been verified as a good filter but it is not warranted as a medical device so don’t rely on it as a safeguard, just as a good air cleaner for dust particles, which is how it is advertised.

Have had several of these units running throughout my home now since August. I live in the desert and we are on a farm. There is a lot of dust, pollen and dirt. These units work very well and have cut down on the amount of dust I have in my home tremendously. I love them and when I finish building my studio I plan on getting a couple of more for in there.

I have a gas heat in my house & things get a little dusty, so I bought this small air purifier for my bedroom. I turn it on a few hours before going to bed. The air seems cleaner & I do breathe easier so it serves the purpose for which I purchased it. I like it but I one criticism: the On/Off Button is not illuminated. If fact, none of the buttons are though parts of the panel are. That aside, it is a good machine.

We researched best air purifier and ended up purchasing Winix. The purifier stopped working after 2 years (out of warranty). Do not recommend unless you enjoy throwing money away as we are also now left with unused filters. Suggest going with other brands. We purchased smaller units from a different brand and they worked better and hasn’t given us any issues (knock on wood). Hope this helps.

It’s such an easy product to use. I love that you can just leave it on for up to 8 hours and it purifies the air. You can see it turn from red to blue, which I’m assuming it’s doing its job! Will need to purchase one for upstairs!

I’ve own a couple of these for ~6 years and just purchased a couple more for my new house. Old ones still work well but seems like the newer ones are a bit better. They make the air noticeably fresher and filter out any smells, dust, animal dander that accumulates. Ofc nothing replaces cleaning. If your space is particularly dusty or Smokey or something like that you probably have to change the filter more often.

I have had this model for maybe over 5 years. Usually keep it in the living room and the Dyson in the bedroom. The Dyson has never reported clean air in my bedroom so I swapped them. Winix could clean my bedroom air but not the Dyson when the Dyson was 2x the price

HUGE RED FLAG. this machine beeps an incredibly irritating sound when it turns on or off. there is no way to stop this. i’ve called them. the beeping when the machine goes off, if on a timer, will wake you up if you’re sleeping. why on earth anyone would design a machine to beep to SIX TIMES when it goes off? i cannot for the life of me understand. stay away from all winix products as they ALL do this and it cannot be fixed.

This thing is awesome, I have 4 dogs, 3 of which are large and 1 small dog. My room is clear of dandruff so long as a sweep it every other day. Before I would have dust and hair everywhere. Vaccume the filter for a longer last. It’s a cleaning buddy not a robot.
