  1. Turbo

Convenient and portable! Perfect for an apartment with screens that can’t remove

  2. Chuck

Seems to really do the job. I am very satisfied with it so far. Will do an update once I’ve had it for a few months.

  3. GeneralEnthusiast

Ive had the unit for about 2 weeks and it works really well, but my biggest issue is when the unit is on there seems to be a really agressive plastic sounding vibration. Tried leveling it and putting fatigue mats underneath but seems like a build quality issue. Hopefully it will go away with consistent use.

Very good but not quite excellent , works as advertized & fairly quiet so far very good.

Inverter unit works well cooling down my fairly large bedroom with many windows in sunny Los Angeles without tripping my ancient breakers. Purchased while i was stuck sitting around in a sweltering leg cast during the broiling Summer— so worth the cost to me/ I’m glad i spent the $ for a quality unit, the noise is tolerable what can you expect/? Otherwise, arrived undamaged despite shipping being delayed twice & I have seen it listed on sale for a lower price elsewhere.

Cooling a garage worked great. Not to loud and worked very ifficent. Would recoment it to anyone how needs to cool down a small area.

Hi, I just purchased the Whynter ARC-1030WN portable a/c. In my first day of use, I am getting EL0C error code and the a/c stops airflow. Checked with Whynter, they said it is a compressor line failure, probably got damaged during shipping by UPS. Also I noticed, if the temperature is changed from the a/c, the info in the remote does not update. I also measured the level of noise and found to be 52dB at low fan speed as opposed to what Whynter claims it to be is 42dB. The a/c worked fine and made the room cold as intended but these are the issues I have found so far.
Bought it due to dual hose design and inverter technology, but the error code on first day of use is a bummer.

Easy setup, cools great! Provided immediate comfort for the family.

  10. Smokytilt

Makes the room an icebox if so desired even on a warm day

It was a much better than a previous lg product. The extra power helped a lot! Its 100 degrees outside and i need my heavy blanket.

I’ve had this unit since August, reviewing in December. Based in Houston, TX (hot weather!), living in a 1200 sq ft apartment on the top floor. The AC that the apartment came with can’t keep up in the summer, so I purchased this unit to supplement it. Before installing, temps in the apartment got up to 77F during the day, the addition of this portable AC keeps it below 73 when in the large open living room. It now resides in my office to beat the heat generated by my workstation PC, and on full blast can keep the office in the mid 60s.

Box came banged up pretty bad, but the foam packing kept the unit and accessories in perfect condition. Installation was easy, instructions weren’t great but there isn’t much to the setup so I figured it out quickly. I had to take a hacksaw to the window shroud to get it to fit in the window, and opted to seal the gaps using marine sealant. The unit is pretty loud regardless of fan setting, so I tend to keep it on high. It’s more than enough to keep this one room cold.

Only real complaints I have are with the automatic setting, which kicks back in less than a minute after it hits the target temperature. I’m better off running it on a lower fan speed with a set point well below where I expect it to cool to, so that it doesn’t turn off for 10 seconds and start back up again.
