    Scanner recommended to me by friends who purchased it. Very good quality for the low price. Took me five mins. from the box to have it up and running. Directions very easy. Enjoying it as I write this. (Was shipped almost immediately after purchase). Disabled so didn’t have to drive, park and walk in to store, a plus for me.)

    This scanner is a replacement for a Uniden I had,The reception is great
    and it is very easy to program.My only complaint (minor one) is it doesn’t show the time when it is not on. Very good for the money.

    My personal opinion is that this is a good scanner for the price, I found it hard to program. Maybe someone with a little more programming savvy would give quite a different comment. Good reception. Large display.

    These are basically the cheapest scanners on the market. But mine work well. I’m only interested in local and surrounding towns and if placed where it picks up the wave length it works great. I have this and the hand held. I made shelves on 2 windows at opposite ends of my house so I can hear when something is happening in my area. And they work just as good as a $600 dollar one I used to own that only lasted a year. It’s all about placement. Near windows. I don’t need it sitting in the center of my house so I can see it. I need it somewhere where I can hear it.

    Lets me listen to all the local police departments, rescue squads, fire departments, etc. Now when I hear a siren in the distance, I can find out what is going on.

    I read many reviews and nobody ever commented on the audio. It was easy to program and running in 10 minutes. The audio sounded like a cheap old speaker. I used it one day and returned it for the Uniden. Now I’m satisfied.

    Most radio scanners have to be programmed. This is pre-programmed for the local EMS. We did have to add a few extra ones. Sound is clear.

    Sorry, took this item back. Did not work out in our neck of the woods. We needed a digital and not an analog, also, doesn’t work well in a mobil home. Also, have to purchase an online list of scanner programs, and good luck programming them.

    Works great for a weather alert scanner. I purchased a better longer antenna so I can pick up long distances. I have picked up conversations from people as far away as Miami on the Ham radio scan
