After our 19-year old oven died, we purchased this unit after doing some research on double wall ovens. This can be tricky as you must have the proper measurements or the oven may not fit correctly in the space allotted. Since our old oven was also a Whirpool this unit was the best choice and basically the very upgraded version of what we had.
We have been using this oven for about a month now and we really like the ease of use in with the digital controls. Plus it’s beautiful and really improves the look of our kitchen. There have not been any issues yet and I think the biggest risk as is with all newer appliances will be the electronic circuitry which could be costly to repair. Hopefully, this will as trouble-free as its predecessor.
The buying experience using Best Buy was excellent and the help I received in placing my order was great and the installation was very professional and efficient especially during the pandemic.

I love my ovens. I do a good bit of baking and have really enjoyed it. The baking time seems to be accurate with the recipe. The inside seems to be larger than my previous Whirlpool. The stainless steel looks very nice in my kitchen.

I love this oven. I went from a single oven to this. It is so roomy. I can warm or heat in one while cooking in the other. I was a little concerned about setting it up and using it due to some of the prior reviews, but I had no trouble with either. I set it up with my Echo, and all I have to say is “Alexa turn on upper oven to _____”. It is so convenient when your hands are messy from cooking. I would definitely recommend this oven to everyone.

Embarrassingly bad build quality. Clock runs too fast, needs to be adjusted every week. Fan runs for hours after using the oven. I’ve owned this for one year and now all the sound went out. I’ll never buy another whirlpool product again.

Maybe they’ll be fine – who knows? They have been sitting in their delivery box in our breakfast room awaiting installation for the past month! Apparently when they removed the older ovens the space was about 1/8″ too small for these oven, so the installers left so we could sand down the sides to accommodate the new ovens. It has now been a month and the install has been rescheduled three times. Hopefully this week they will finally be installed. Beyond frustrating dealing with GeekSquad to get these installed!

I started out looking for a gas double oven to fine out that there isnt one on the market. We found this whirlpool model and like its features. Once it was installed and trying to learn how to cook on a wifi enabled device, we lost the display. Therefore we had a couple of days i had to cook via my phone app. Thru the app, i also contacted customer service explaining the issue. Since it was the weekend, we waited a few days to hear back. There is no way to unplug it and reset the oven, so friend of mine suggested to turn the breaker off and on to reset. And that worked. Customer service final got back with me and the answer was the same. We are enjoying this oven more now.

Seriously do not buy it. If you are considering it, look at the reviews with issues. We got this with a new build and did not have a choice. Thought it was fine but two issues:
– It now will not turn off. We almost left the house for a while and realized it was on. Now we have to flip a breaker to turn it off. Our neighborhood all has the same oven and we are not the only ones this has happened to and many, many reviews on the Whirlpool site will talk about it not turning off.
– Second, the touchscreen is junk – if you are baking anything that generates any steam, once you open the door the steam rises and hits the touchscreen which then jumps between menus, turns off, changes the temp, etc. And you cannot touch to control it until the steam dissipates. Who the heck tested an oven with steam for issues?

We’ve had the oven for about 3 months and I love it except for….When first installed the clock kept resetting back to the factory time/date. At first we thought it was the electricity going out but soon discovered that it was the only electric clock in the house that it was happening to. The service tech came out and replaced the computer and that now seems to be working fine. Trying to figure out to work all the features is a little confusing but will read the manual and figure it out. Also, we have had the same problem as another reviewer in that when the top door is opened during cooking the steam comes out and changes the setting or shuts the oven off completely. This is very frustrating. The control panel seems to be very sensitive and that seems like a serious design flaw. I will plan to reach out to Whirlpool and see what can be done about that. This is my second Whirlpool oven and hoping they stand by their product and figure out a solution to this issue.

Do not buy this oven. Whirlpool customer service is also terrible and they do not care to try help you.
When you use this oven every time the vent is not sealed so you will get what looks like water dripping marks inside the glass that you can’t reach to wipe. You have to pay $350 for a technician to come and remove the glass and wipe it. Such nonsense.

Oven racks not at all sturdy. Very unsafe for placing a large pan inside with a large roast, chicken or turkey. Rack sagged on me when cooking a 4 pound chuck roast with vegetables in a enameled cast iron pot!!! This has never happened before in any oven I have owned!!!

We love the new oven for our home. The old one gave out after 14 years. The appearance is modern and sleek and the controls are easy to use. The installers were experienced and professional and cleaned up after they installed the oven.

This is what you get when the marketing department overrides the designers and engineers. Touch screens aren’t reliable in humid environments or those with large temperature swings. Whirlpool has found THE WORST possible control system for their products, because some idiot thought it looked neat.
On top of that horrible idea, they’ve managed to overlook the key feature of an oven timer: it needs to be loud enough to get your attention. The chime is a joke, barely audible within the same room. Any hopes you carried that you could carry on a simple conversation while waiting for your dinner, abandon them now.
