This trim kit is great looking – very sleek! The previous trim kit had all these “vents” that were hard to clean – this one is really easy to clean.

Looks like stainless steel but is plastic. I have to say it looks good and fit perfect. I was surprised at how it did fit. I bought this and 4 appliances. Have now bought 11 Whirlpool appliances in 14 years. If this was about the smooth top stove I would give it a 1 and say stay away. Scratched with aluminum pan.

I online shopped for this unit and found only Best Buy could deliver it in two days. Others said two to three weeks. Price was in the middle of other offers, but it’s installed NOW, and not ‘on the way’, or ‘being processed for shipment’. I didn’t install it when if first arrived, as our hot water heater sprung a leak from a cracked tank. That came first, and it’s now remedied with a new
hot water heater. On to the microwave install, with trim kit.
Matched this up with a 2.2 cu ft, 27″ Whirlpool microwave. Had to have the built in look over our Whirlpool 27″ oven. The cabinet opening for the MO was 1/2 in to tall, but 1/2 in too narrow. So, I widened it with a reciprocating saw, then added a 5/8 piece of plywood to the bottom of the shelf, before installing the bottom metal plate. Now, no gaps. Perfect. Looks great. Very satisfied

I had to return it because the sales person sold me the wrong fitting one for the microwave he also sold me. I’m kinda glad because it is definitely plastic with no vent. I’m going with a custom metal trim kit.

Looks great and fits microwave perfectly. I much prefer the swing microwave door to the oven style door. This makes the unit look built in. Recommend.

Purchased it as per the manufacturers recommendation, the purchase was easy, the shipping was fine, but the actual product didn’t fit, it wasn’t even close. That would have been fine but on the 16th day best buy wouldn’t allow me to return it, So, no thanks i’ll see you at lowes, home depot, or anywhere with a 30day return policy.

We replaced an old built-in microwave with a new Whirlpool and this trim kit. It worked. I installed it and it took 30-60 minutes. We didn’t have to do any cutting or modifying so it was a piece of cake. Looks great, fits great and it just works! Not much does that anymore.

Microwave Trim Kit does not fit; falls about 5 inches short of the right height in cabinet. Will be returning and building a cabinet shelf. Retrofitting and old house is not so easy.

I couldn’t find a trim for my whirlpool microwave so I tried this one. I had to lift the microwave a bit to fit the trim; however, it looks very nice and fits the color perfectly.
