    Light above stove won’t turn off. The display will cycle through hi/lo/off, but the light stays on. This started after about 3 months.

    All this beeping is really annoying. It should by default be mute or more silent. Then as I am trying to mute from menu the keypad goes into lock mode. This damaged the keypad and made it unresponsive.

    This is the second whirlpool microwave I have owned and the first one lasted over. 10 yrs. Never had a moments trouble with it.
    Expect the odds are this one will give reliable service. The unit looks and mostly functions the same as the unit it replaced. Just like old unit fit and finish is very good and the performance is identical.

    After only 4 years of light use the display went out. You can press buttons and cook in it – you just can’t see what numbers you’ve pushed…no display. The one we have before this was 9 years old without a problem just switched to stainless. Way to go Whirlpool/Kenmore! Quality declining.

    I got this microwave as a replacement for another microwave I really liked that died on me. It has been about 2 months since I got this microwave and its already making a grinding noise. At first I thought it was the turntable but the noise is coming from the top of the microwave. Since its a microwave, you start to wonder is this noise ok, is it just going to grind to a halt, it’s still safe to use right? I would not get this model, and honestly, think I have had enough or whirlpool and go to a different brand.

    The inside is so easy to clean. Everyone knows how hard it is to clean a microwave oven. This is simple just take a wet rag and wipe it clean.

    Excellent microwave. The black stainless looks great! I’m trying to figure out if you can set the number pad to be short cut keys, like the 1 to be one minute and 2 to be two minutes. Right now if you don’t hit the 30 second button you type in the time. The one thing though is the right side mounting hole is no longer the standard, it is 8 inches in from the edge. The guys that installed it did a great job, by putting a wooden bracket to mount it.
