    This filter replaced the old model filter for LG refrigerators. They are both the same and function in the same manner. The biggest difference is this is slimmer and not as bulky as the old filter model which is a good thing. Not a lot to say but good value for the money.

    i have had my fridge for 4 years and I have been buying filters very often, usually like every 4-5 months at 6 months its way too slow. this one I bought may 5th and I put it in my fridge on may 12th, today is June 17th and it is at the 6 month point where the water comes out so slow and is disgusting. either this is fake or something idk but I do not recommend.

    If you have Lg refrigerator, I suggest get this filter not the generic one. I tried cheap filter last time and I regret on buying it after comparing with the lg filter.

    We read the manual we received with our refrigerator (4 months ago) and purchased a filter (see above). When attempting to replace it, we discovered an entirely different filter in the refrigerator. Nothing like the one we bought.
    We returned the new one to Best Buy. Unfortunately there were none in stock. A very capable employee ordered the correct filter and it was delivered the next day. Every employee contact we have had has been excellent.
    Through the next questions I will answer based on the new filter.

    Wish these filters did not clonk out within the first 3 or so months and would actually last for the estimated 6 months, as advertised, but this seems to be the new norm with all water filter brands, not just LG.

    The LG refrigerator water filter was designed for a simple replacement installation. Installation of new and removal of used filters is very easy. The quality of the drinking water is excellent. We used bottled water often, so having clean and better tasting water eliminates our need and use of bottled water. Impurities are efficiently eliminated so the taste of water is great. This filter allows the water to flow smoothly without clogging

    This water filter is the one my refrigerator needs. When the filter exchange light comes on about every six months I know it’s time to change the filter. It’s easy to install. It just turns into place. Once the water is flushed it’s ready to go. The Best Buy Easy Replenish program is wonderful!! A new filter ships to me every six months so I don’t even have to think about it. I love this auto ship program and I save money by using it. If you need this filter you won’t go wrong.
