    This is the OEM recommended replacement. Don’t make a mistake and buy online like I did-the water will have an odd taste. This filter resolved that issue and works perfectly.

    I could be much more positive about this filter if I had evidence it actually works and if the replacement schedule accounted for actual gallons of water filtered rather than an arbitrary once every six months. We had run probably no more tha 10 gallons through it when it began flashing time to replace. We replaced after 12 months, probably still too soon. Replacement is easy. Cost was $58,00.

    Filter was not good. Water tasted bad. This was first change after having refrigerator for 6 months and changing for first time. Best buy would not replace filter. Had to work with LG who also did not make it easy. Took months of calling and then requesting that I change water line and call plumber. In the end it was a bad filter that was sent.

    Pricey but is supposed to last six months and is necessary for clean ice. It was easy to find appropriate filter for my particular refrigerator/freezer- they are color coded. Easy to locate in my refrigerator & it’s a simple twist to remove and twist to replace.

    After following the installation instructions it worked well for about 2-3 weeks and then it started to signal thar I needed to replaced the water filter again. How is that possible?? We dri k water like any nirmal person. Why does it need to be replaced in less than a month?

    There is no other option that I can find for this LG fridge than their LG water filter. We do not like how the water comes out with a lot of haziness in it. When you look closely you see tons of whitish floaties in it. Most of the floaties will disappear after much time. My previous brand didn’t do this. Wish I hadn’t bought LG.

    All of these filters are overpriced by the manufacturers, and that is unavoidable for consumers, but Best Buy makes it easier on us with their subscription service.
    I especially like being able to subscribe so that I don’t have to remember when to reorder.

    Does not last 6 months. Last approx 2 weeks and then water and ice start tasting sour and smelling odd. Nothing in the fridge is bad Geek Squad checked over the fridge and recommended new filter. Gone through 3 filters now since i bought the fridge 3 months ago. I am going to try an off name brand instead of LG. No my water isnt bad the other filer on the sink doesn’t cause this problem and the regular tap water doesn’t even have the odors or tastes that this filter produces. Dont buy.

    Hello, I was glad to get this replacement filter for my fridge. It did the trick, I only wish there werre instructions on the packaging on how to remove the old one and insert the new one, Even a qr code to scan that showed how to do it.
