I ordered one from BESTBUY on the Oct 9th for my office and it made me want to buy another one for my bedroom. This is, I believe, a very quite and safe heater with a great heating ability. It is not like a heater that makes super hot only around it. It generates heat and spreads the heat with the vortex fan in it throughout the whole room. It has a sensor on the bottom surface so it will be automatically turned off when you move it around or drop it.

My wife needed a small space heater for her office and because she is a fashionista, I knew it couldn’t just be any old space heater. This one does a great job and looks great doing it. I knocked one star off because she does wish it had more settings than just low and high, low just never seems to do it for her, and high gets the place just a little too toasty. Also, she forgot to turn it off one night (I knew this would happen so that is why I got a heater with a lot of safety features) but even though it got really hot in her office, it never shut off so I’m not sure what its threshold is to turn off. It did turn off when she accidentally knocked it over, so that works.

Admittedly, I was attracted to this portable heater because of the styling. There were no reviews since this is a new model.
The first time I plugged it in on the high setting, within 5 minutes it overheated and turned off automatically. I waited about 15 minutes and then turned it on using the low setting and it operated properly.
I tried the high setting again and it turned my bathroom lights off. Will be returning.

Got this brand new from the store, took it home and placed on my desk, first off it does looks nice, says it’s made in Kansas but the Chinese writing all over the packaging suggest otherwise. Once plug in, the heating control knob came off, not enough clue under the cover. Then the actual temperature control button id just poor and cheap, it tends to moves past the high/low setting so you have no idea what it is actually set too. The fan inside the unit is super quite, which is nice until you realize that the heat travels about 2 inches away from the unit, which results in total he dissipation before it ever reaches you, in turn due to the poor fan the unit get hot and cuts out because it thinks it’s over heating. I have to be honest and say, maybe I had a faulty unit, but looking at the build quality I would say even if it worked better, I would have still returned it due to cheap materials and poor build quality. Avoid. I endued up with a Honeywell, seems to be much better although much nosier !!

I love the brand, but this heater does not work. It worked for about three minutes, shut off, and I can’t get it to heat up. It’s in a well ventilated area, but still shuts off and will not heat.

I live in an apartment and in a room that’s about 12x12x8 ft this heater kept the whole room warm even on its low setting. If you put this in an area exceeding that along with open doors it will only keep whatever is directly in front of it warm.

This looked like a great little unit. Has metal housing that stays cool, tip control and uses lower wattagebthan most heaters. Took out of the box, plugged it in and it State ted smoking and no fan movement. Returned it immediately.

I bought this heater with two things in mind. 1. I needed a heater that was low-energy and not 1500 watts like all the rest. 2. I only needed it to heat up my bedroom. I’m pleased to say that operating at 375 watts on low mode, the heater does a great job. Even on days where it was sub-zero outside, the little thing managed to keep things toasty. Keep in mind that this heater isn’t designed for a large room, nor is it designed to quickly heat things up. It isn’t even good to sit in-front of like you would a fireplace. All it does it slowly heat up a room and then keep it warm.

I thought is might be very cumbersome but it’s not. It fits under my desk and no one knows it’s there….and the most important part is that it’s very, very quiet….I love how small and compact and noise free it is for the money I paid for it.

Within a few days of purchase, this started to fall apart (loose dial not working). I returned it and got another model instead: Honeywell – Digital Fan-Forced Heater – Black. That one I recommend. But stay away from this one!

The temperature in my office can be uneven int he winter, so this is the perfect way to warm up. I love the auto-shutoff timer too, one less thing to worry about when I go home. Will heat up a room very quickly and it looks nice too.

Pros:
Compact and easy to move to around
Due to the all-metal design, it doesn’t give off any odors, unlike the vast majority of other space heaters
Keeps the feet warm even when set on low (note: this space heater isn’t really powerful enough to heat up an entire room, but Vornado does make larger models that also have a metal enclosure)
Room for improvement:
It would be better if there were a cable management solution for when the heater is not in use, such as a cable storage compartment as in Vornado’s larger metal space heaters, or a clip to wind up the cable.

This is a low power space heater with only 2 settings, but it’s half the power of normal space heaters. The 4hr shut off timer is a nice addition too. When it WAS working, I liked it a lot.
However, about one week in, the on top is really hard to turn. Eventually it over rotated and possibly not lining up with the low or high setting anymore? I pulled the knob off and readjusted it, and it worked for a while?
I put the heater on high on a cold morning and it was great.. until I suddenly noticed the room was getting chilly (it ran very quiet). I looked down and no indication of power?
Thank God it happened with 2 days left to return it!
I liked the product, but Vornado is not the company they used to be since the buyout?
Their fans and heaters from 20+ years ago were nowhere near this cheap or crappy?
It does come with a 5yr warranty at least, so take your chances. I would wait til a sale to roll the dice though. Not worth the $50 retail. Got mine at $35, and went to $30 the next week too. Did they know it was a flop?

Solid little heater that actually keep my entire 12′ x 9′ office space warm and toasty. It does so quickly, effectively, and with an overall quiet fan sound. You can hear it, but it is not obtrusive or annoying. If it stops working, unplug it, let it cool, and then wack it on the bottom where the auto-off toggle is a few times. Plug in in 30 minutes and it will work again.

Nice replacement for older Vornado heaters styled like this. Moves a lot of air for its size. Developed a quirk after the 3 month mark where it would overheat trigger on high. Still works great on med/low.
