Look, i had a 2.1 soundbar with external subwoofer. Also vizio. It suddenly wouldnt recognize my hdmi so i thought it was the xbox. Its not. It was the soundbar. Decided to upgrade to this newer version and its AMAZING. You don’t need a lot of space to set it up. Setup even took maybe 5-10 mins. If you dont like cords, gonna be a bummer but you can wrap up as much cord as possible and keep it tied up (box comes with ties so theres that). Set the back speakers up and towards you, sub inbetween and behind and let it rock. You can set the speakers to not turn up if you like and dont have to worry about those breaking cause they will be in regular position. Sounds are crisp and vibrant, background noise is picked up when you watch movies and sound where they should be in the film. First movie was fast and furious 1 and whooo…. Blew me away. The 4k from the box messed up halfway and we changed out the blu ray and that sound was still there, still boomin. Sounds are exactly where they should be relative to position and they are perfect. Tip: get an openbox if you can. This one was complete, sealed (cords and remote were still sealed in plastic), and was just missing the weird L shaped box this comes in normally. Paid 328 plus got the 4 year warranty for 60 bucks. Came out to 426 final and thats a steal. If you get this for under 500, you are walking out of there with a quality system that you can enjoy for awhile. Have best buy send the receipt to email and your solid for 4 years or less if they offer a lesser warranty. This is worth it even at 700, just makes it easier to bite the bullet if you pay less. Hey,blame the economy but dont blame this system. For a true 5.1, this is what you want.

Finally got rid of my stereo system and bought this.
And finally a surround sound system that you can adjust the levels independently. I also have my turntable plugged into it and you can tell the surround speakers to not have effects. The sub is great and it powers the surround speakers, so no need to run speaker wire across the room.

I bought it for the multiple HDMI ports that supported Dolby Atmos since most sound bars I found only had one. My TV is not Dolby Atmos capable but my streaming box is, so I wanted the Atmos sound. This sound bar is not very good. It is sometimes glitchy when powering up, replacing the video with very bad quality or video static. Sometimes the audio takes voices out of playing video and sometimes there’s no audio at all when watching Atmos-enabled videos. Unplugging the sound bar from the wall for 30 seconds fixes it for a while but is a frustrating experience. And well, the phone app isn’t very good since it rarely connects to the soundbar. When it is working it sounds great, which is most of the time. All in all I wouldn’t buy it again.

I initially bought the M series elevate ! That was an awesome sound bar too.. however found the base to be slightly less , black fridays deals had this one for 599 and although bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews . I eventually bought this one . The basic setup was easy … mobile app one was not the simplest.. however once it was setup it jusy works fine . The sound quality is terrific .. base is just too good (it’s recommended to keep sub level on the lower end ) . Surround speakers are too good . Its a pretty heavy soundbar compared to M series elevate . I m mighty impressed by Vizio.. i have a Samsung Harman Kardon 5.1,2 sound bar for my TV downstairs and this one is giant leap and on a different level all together

Best speaker system of bought in my lifetime. The base works so well. You have to keep it on the low volume. Had a little trouble pairing with my TV, but gotter done. Some movies it sounded like stuff was falling from the top of The room to the floor.

It’s a great sound bar and I own the P75q9-jo1 tv so I bought the elevate to match with the tv and have a great synergy setup! The sound was great and love the build design. The only set back of course was the app it’s ridiculous and won’t stay connected I advise to never use the app just stick with the remote. Also I just returned my soundbar for an exchange on a new device due to the Dolby right side speaker not rotating accurately when I would switch to up or auto. It would make clicks and not rotate fully so I’m hoping it was just a defective product and doesn’t occur on my new soundbar. I recommend especially for price and if you can get discount even better.

The sound can’t be set by mode once you made your adjustments they will follow to the next mode is not good. The sound quality is good but you can not save your settings on each mode.

Overall sound is great with a thundering bass. Still adjusting features to get the best sound for a small room. Would have rated as a 4 and a half. My other Vizio soundbar has 18 speakers, but lacked the bass sound as the new unit.

The sound quality is amazing, though depending what’s on on occasion I don’t need the bass the subwoofer puts out so I may turn that down or even off. It’s easy to do through the app though.

I have not had this Vizio Elevate for too long, but it sounds so much better than the Yamaha Surround System that I’ve used for about 5 years! I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone. It sounds fantastic!

Vizio makes some great products. I really like this soundbar . I goes extra loud and the sub woofer is so rumbly that it makes movies and video games alot more realistic. Only gripe is that it sometimes loses sound and has to be turned off and back on again. It also seems to work alot better and has a better sound quality when you use a ultra high speed HDMI cable available at (Best Buy)
With a tv that has HDMI E arc capability. Dolby Atmos and DTS sound amazing on this sound bar.
The two small speaker fire up and down and forward so the sound feels like it’s all around you. Alot cheaper than high end expensive sound bars but it works as good and sounds as good if not better than the more expensive sound bars.

Despite Best Buy dropping the ball a half dozen times, we finally took delivery of our soundbar and got it going.
Setup was super easy and although the vizio app took about 10 attempts to complete the installation, it works just fine.
Sounds great. Automatically detects Atmos content and delivers a nice, 3d soundscape. Dynamic range is good and the sub has more than enough horsepower for most rooms.
Due to the horrible condition of the first unit they sent, a substantial price adjustment made it a very cost effective solution. As it was, the original black Friday pricing was still pretty fair.
Not sure if I’ll be going back to Best buy anytime soon. Way too much time and energy wasted because they don’t have competent staff. Although the guys at the store I finally picked up from were pretty on the ball, that was only one in about a dozen contacts. Nit a good average.

The installation was very straightforward, and I connected it to my Sony TV. After installation, I could directly use my TV remote to control both my TV and this soundbar. In terms of sound quality, it is excellent. The dialogue is very clear, and the rotating sound is very effective. I am really happy with this purchase

It was my fault; I didn’t check the reviews first. There is a reason why it only has a 65% rating. This product is low quality; do not buy. My return period ended, and I was late to return it—too bad! Do not buy this; save your money and purchase another product instead.
First issue: the upward-firing speaker is supposed to rotate whenever it detects Dolby video. Mine only rotates sometimes. For example, if you watch a Dolby movie one day, it rotates, but the next day, it won’t rotate unless you manually rotate it.
Second issue: the upward speaker rotation got stuck. The left side of the rotation got stuck, making weird friction noises. Consequently, the sound is noticeably loud.
Third issue: the subwoofer’s low end is not clear; the sub is very muddy. If you play a song, the sub should support, but instead, it muddies the whole mix. Do not buy it; invest in another product.
