Overall I regret this purchase. I’d see. Reviews mentioning how dim it can be, even on max brightness, were spot on. It’s dreary and just never bright enough unless it’s in HDR mode, which isn’t always available. In games and other apps that support it, it looks fine. Not the best in terms of brightness or even backlighting, but. It bad. But try also using it for work in office productivity applications and you’ll regret it. The brightness settings are simply insufficient.
Access to menus and settings is unintuitive and clunky. Add to this that part of the LED color backlighting was already flickering at random not even 6 months after purchase, and I wish I’d gone with something else.

It was super hot like sitting in front of a heater, don’t know if it was defective or not, I know it used a lot of watts compared to this ACER. Took it back and got an ACER that was cool as could be. Both have beautiful colors.

Was really excited for the monitor especially getting it on black friday for a good deal but even so it’s not worth it. For a 4K monitor this had the worst black light bleed I’ve ever seen. Blacks had a grayish yellow tint and HDR wasn’t worthwhile.

Dont buy this the msg is clear look weird deal if am you i dont spent penny on this monitor less on the one that say 2k over its not a real deal for no one i just see that and i am thinking how it happens why they dont take that monitor overpriced so far away

I see a lot of reviews saying this monitor is dim and looks horrible in SDR. Well it does, and the reason is because for whatever reason, energy saving eco mode is on by default. Turning it off makes it bright, colorful, and like it should be.
On the on screen display > Setup Menu > scroll all the way down to eco mode > Energy Saving > OFF.
It instantly becomes just as bright as HDR mode.
