I tried to get off cheap when fixing a Pixel XL and had this battery shipped. Sent the Google phone into a kernel panic. Couldn’t even factory reinstall. Maddening. Just changing a battery? Put the original (bloated and failing) battery back? No problem. Bought another for 3x more from another iFixCan’tName 🙂 company and it worked as it should. PERFECTLY. Insult to injury? I had to pay $8 to ship it back to BB as I don’t have a store within an hour+ drive for me. Still waiting for my return $ of…a buck or two? Buy quality. Lesson learned.

  2. KLok

Great value an used to replace a battery for a bargain hunt.

  3. Pixel3user

I was not advised at the time I called Customer Service that it required special tools to change the battery. When I took the battery and phone to my local Best Buy, I was told that tech services could not exchange the battery because of the phone model. Then I was told that I would have to take it to an independent dealer to make the exchange. The independent dealer would not use the battery I purchased due to “warranties.” So the whole thing was quite an ordeal. But at least I’m only going to pay $69.95 for a new battery at the independent dealer instead of $800.00 for a new phone.

Not sure how well it works since I broke my phone while trying to remove the display. It sure would be nice if Google make it easier to replace batteries. When trying to remove the glued display I ended up breaking the ribbon cable. It is too expensive to get a new display for such an old phone.

  5. insomniac

Well, I didn’t know what to expect from a $9 battery. But, installed it on my Google Pixel XL & it works perfectly. My phone is new again!

    Highly recommended.

Worked for a while and then didn’t. Frustrating that the phone didn’t turn on last time I attempted about 2 years later.

Made a successful repair on a Pixel XL with this.
