Bought for Christmas gift to upgrade an older one for my grandson. The older one is still working but he wanted the newer version to take to the beach. I’m sure this is even better than the previous version and that has proven to be good sound and quality. Anxious for him to receive this!

This speaker gets LOUD! The only downside is that the controls took me a while to get the hang of, but I love that I can preset playlists because really there are only so many we listen to in my family gatherings. I also love the option of purchasing the charging base and just being able to set the speaker on and grab it off on the go. Range from my phone so far has been excellent, and like I said, the speaker gets more than loud enough for any events in a large open backyard

I love this speaker and would recommend it. I previously purchased a Bose however I feel the sound quality in Bose has really weakened over the years. I decided to replace the Bose with this megaboom 3and I was extremely impressed by the sound quality.

this is my second speaker, found out you can use multiply ultimate ear speakers in a concert mode with there app and play the same music through all of them at the same time. makes doing household chores alot better with music through out the house!!

i bought this speaker 30 months ago. last week i dropped the speaker in my hot tub for 5 seconds and my speaker shorted out. I contacted UE and all they offered me was 20% off a new one. my speaker is 9 months out of waranty i get it, but this product doesnt perform at all as advertised. Very disappointed. I have 50$ speakers that are generic brand that still work and are still waterproof. this product is not waterproof and the company does not stand behind the quality of their product. Buyer beware!!!!

Very cool, very loud for its size, just not for me. I had 2 Nokia Play 360 speakers that I purchased about 10 years ago and they were the first speakers that I knew could pair as a left and right channel. I was looking at updating them. I bought these Megaboom 3’s and a set of Bose Soundlink II’s. Both outperformed my Nokia Plays in volume easily. the MB3 had the most bass, but for the price difference it was not enough for me to keep them. I end up going with the Bose. The MB3 would have been my choice, but I wanted speakers that could pair up and easily pack 2 in my suitcase. Size and weight was a large factor.

As a Bluetooth device, it’s perfect no complaints. However, my primary reason to get this one is because under its specs it says it has an aux input, it doesn’t! I’m not sure if it’s been corrected but I’m the Best Buy description, it’s says aux “YES” included, but to my surprise, nope nothing. Didn’t bother reading others reviews, I should have, it would have save me the trip to return it.
Other than that, it’s great working speaker!

I love UE Booms and my previous one lasted for almost 8 years before my battery stopped charging. I was really excited for this one being the upgraded version both in sound quality and battery life. While this one is good i figured i would be blown away by the difference and i just wasnt. It seems like they focused more on how water resistant it was and how you can throw it in a pool than user friendlyness. The new design has some features that bug me. You have to have the app in order to pair/use. There are two buttons on the top. The small one you use all the time is the power button, the big “magic button” one pairs when pushed and held to turn on…seems like they could have done this a different way. When you turn on the boom it makes the “on” schwoop/ pair noise at what sounds like full volume and cant be adjusted.
All that said, for the money i dont think you can get a better unit. The only thing is this just left me wishing that my old speaker wasnt broken instead of being happy i upgraded to this one.

Not really worth the price. Has a good sound but not much louder than the small wonderboom I have. Battery doesn’t last as long as I thought it would. Also you cant walk out of the room without the Bluetooth loosing connection.

I have enjoyed having the MegaBoom 3 Portable speaker. The sound quality is amazing, it’s easy to connect, and the battery life is great. I purchased these speakers over a month ago and am just now having to recharge (I don’t use it everyday). The only challenges are connectivity range and one minor connection issue.
The range for connectivity could be stronger. It’s a wireless Bluetooth device, so it makes sense, but I find that I can’t move beyond 20-ish feet without it starting to break up.
The speaker also had trouble connecting to my phone once and it took a minute to get it back connected and running.
Otherwise, it was an amazing purchase.

Purchased the red one multiple(2) times, and each time the item was defective….Item would lose connection while playing, we tried a blue one the final time and it was also defective. I purchase the purple one at the same time and no problem. I ended up returning both items and sticking with the mega boom ones which I have had for years with no problems…side note, stick with the mega boom 1 over the 3…THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO IMPROVEMENT FROM THE 1 to the 3….I would also recommend refurbished over new because the 3 speakers I received new from Best Buy were garbage….
