Husband –
Works with GT7 out of the box. Need to hook up to a PC though to update firmware
Faizal –
Was not a good experiance abd I dont know why the steering was so hard.
WilliamM –
Its fun to use and showed up in time for christmas. Takes getting used to but when you do, you won’t want to use the controller again.
Phil –
Excellent wheel and pedals. I am new to racing hardware and wanted something a bit above entry. This nailed it. Coupled with a PS5 and mounted on a NextLevel rig
KJones –
I bought this setup over a year ago for my husband to play GT7. (He is where racing wheels go to die!) He still raves about how good this wheel is. It has been a reliable performer, with no problems. Believe me, that is saying something. I know my husband has been around the Daytona track at least 10,000 times in the last year. (He and his friends like to race at Daytona…a lot.)
EricG –
I bought this wheel when I ordered the new Grand Turismo game and I can say that this wheel works wonders! It is very responsive and gives great feedback when you are not driving too well in game.
Nolongerajblfan –
Amazing beginner wheel for people of all ages. Good start to sim racing
Elijah –
When i received bc the item it was broken wuth two of the pedals.
DustyW –
Love it, it works terrific and has more than enough feedback for me.
Whiskey –
Not a weekend you… I did return this item.
First let me state for the record that this is an amazing item. The precision and attention to detail is truly stunning. That being said, this is not for the everyday gamer. It needs to be mounted the pedals need to be attached to something. It’s not as simple as unpackage it and you’re playing right away. The only reason I returned it was due to the mounting issue. I thought it could sit table top. That’s on me.
RigoC –
Very happy with my thrust master it has taken my racing gameplay to a whole new different level it has me feeling like I’m really in the tracks it has really good handling and made of durable material
MillardM –
Great addition to rig and accessories! Better than the last very good iteration!
Drakon –
Quality is good and bad. It was hard to secure to anything and the pedals wouldn’t stay still. I couldnt very well use it as intended because it doesnt come with a good base…unless you’re willing to spend the full go cart setup. It was hella fun playing a racing game with it even though the wheel could be better secured.

The Thrustmaster T248 is an absolutely fantastic force feedback sim-racing wheel + pedals setup with an even MORE fantastic price (whenever on sale for <≈$300, that is), with only a few handful of notable flaws that are thankfully mostly fixable by the end user! First off, when compared to ANYTHING/EVERYTHING else available in this price range (≈$200-$300), the Thrustmaster T248 absolutely CURB-STOMPS the competition where it actually counts! Aka, in the internal motor & pedal technology, where it absolutely WIPES THE DANG FLOOR w/ Logitech's G29/920/923!!! (TM T248 = MUCH smoother gear + belt hybrid motor w/ ≈3.5nm peak torque/power + adjustable & 100% wear-free magnetic Hall effect sensor pedals. Logi G29/920/923 = MUCH grindier & grittier feeling gear-only motor design literally dating back to 2005, with an absolutely PATHETIC ≈2nm [G29/920] up to a mere ≈2.5nm [G923] peak torque, paired with unadjustable & guaranteed to eventually fail potentiometer using pedals.) Thrustmaster otoh made a VERY DELIBERATE decision to go with a cheaper bill of materials made out of mostly plastic for the actual wheel & wheelbase compared to the competition (aka vs Logi's mix of mostly plastic AND some aluminum metal) in exchange for putting in a VASTLY more advanced, capable, & powerful gear + belt hybrid motor. Meaning that while the T248 might look & feel "cheaper" when not actually in use, when the motor's actually driving it (aka it's actually being used), it is absolutely MIIIIIIIIILES ahead of Logitech's offerings!!! The only other major flaw that the T248 has besides its plastic construction, are its infamous RIDICULOUSLY LOUD magnetic paddle shifters, but thankfully these are STUPID CHEAP & EASY TO FIX!!! How & why? Turns out the noise doesn't actually happen from the paddle "acuating" (aka activating/"clicking"), but rather when it slams back super hard into its resting position. As such, all you need to do is put something behind each paddle to dampen the return impact, & thus sound. I use mechanical keyboard dampener O-rings (1x behind each paddle) but countless others use all sorts of stuff from normal rubber bands to strips of felt to layers of electrical tape.

I will say this performs way better when pair it with a racing sim set up. Very precise handling, increased my times on racing games about 2-3 seconds. My only complaint is that the steering wheel is a bit small.
Webberlandscapes –
Great force feedback and easy to use plug and play system
Sharon –
Great simulator system that’s compatible with gaming PC and VR.
casey –
good force feed back really lets you feel everything going on with the car.
Cybadec –
Good printer for the money. Much easier setup than other versions around the same price point.
JonathanF –
Great A+++++++++++… feels real and very responsive
Mrt1064 –
Product is very sturdy and responsive. the clutch pedal is as soft as a real clutch car
Rdub444 –
Very well built. Love it so much i use it almost every night.
Sammyjack –
This steering wheel is a great wheel. This wheel is for a more advanced player that already played with a steering wheel before.
TedaA –
Great product! Easy to install, the entire family loves to play.

On PC: Tested with PCars2, Dirt Rally2, AC and Automobilista2. Great experience and easy to set and go on all games but Automobilista2 which doesn’t see the device properly and had to manually rebind all settings (buttons, wheel, pedals and shifter) but it works. On Playstation: …. trash. Ps4 GT Sport, every time your car slips a bit or drift there is a load really bad noise coming out of the wheel, kind of the belt slipping off, and there was no way to detect the shifter 🙁 On PS5: WRC10 oh God, worst FF ever, it felt the thing was tearing apart itselft, I had to stop after 10 minutes before any real damage. So 2/5 I guess. Suggestion: spend a little more and get the T300RS.
JunL –
Very good very good very good very good very good very good very good
BenH –
Any car enthusiasts that would like to get into sim racing would love one of these
user254162 –
Works well and was easy to setup, but doesn’t have the best force feedback at this price range.
MargaritaO –
I am happy with my purchase and the attention received at the San Marcos store.
Hayden –
Feels very premium and the force feedback is nice. Wheel isnt too loud and the pedals feel great. There was a slight squeak with the pedals but I tightened them to the base I have and it went away.
KasieM –
I purchased this for my son for Christmas. Get everything all set up and there is no power cord anywhere in the box or manual. Not to mention the box was completely destroyed when I picked it up from Best Buy.
Very disappointing especially for a kid on Christmas morning that can’t even use his gift.
Jess –
Didn’t work well. If you don’t have a mount for it it doesn’t work.

After fewer than 30 hours of play, my T248 exhibited the random twitching behavior at startup — stuck in a mode of jerking back and forth. This behavior indicates that the unit cannot not auto-calibrate as it should do every time the unit is powered on. If the unit cannot auto-calibrate, then it will not be recognized by the console or PC. The reason it cannot auto-calibrate is due to motor failure.
This is problem is actually quite common with Thrustmaster wheels across all of their models, not just the T248. If you simply Google “thrustmaster calibration problem,” you will find many other complaints in forums and among consumer reviews describing a variation of the same auto-calibration failure behavior, some with short video clips. A disproportionate number of those complaints seem to regard the T300RS/GT. But many complaints regard other models from the bottom to the top of the TM product line, including the high-end T-GT II.
If this, or any problem, occurs within the warranty period of 1-yr (US), Thrustmaster will duly replace/repair the unit. Outside the warranty period, they will offer to have it repaired by their authorized servicer for a flat rate of $70 plus a return shipping fee of $30, not to mention the cost of sending it to their repair center. I will also note that the only way to contact Thrustmaster to handle such cases is through the technical support page on their website. Their phone line is impossible to reach — open only two hours per day, just four days per week.
I did discover a way to calibrate my wheel by hand so that it would be recognized by my console and PC, but since the motor is dead, the wheel only functions as a steering device with no force-feedback (FFB) effects whatsoever other than random weak attempts of the motor to engage the drive system.
Bottom line: Thrustmaster’s flawed belt or hybrid drive design will eventually suffer a motor failure, the only question is whether it will happen before or after the warranty expires.
As a footnote, although I only used this T248 fewer than 30 hours, it was out of warranty. It was a wheel I had set up on a secondary rig and used infrequently. The wheel on my primary rig is a Fanatec ClubSport DD. Thrustmaster doesn’t even begin to compare to the superior direct-drive design of Fanatac in terms of performance and reliability.

AmandaW –
Husband loves it easy set up and can use on multiple devices
TylerB –
So far its’ worked amazing for me, no issues with setup; and every game I’ve tried with it so far has no issues at all. Love the display for adjusting wheel settings too, really comes in handy if you have different settings you like to use for different games
user431026 –
Would like a design so foot pedal doesn’t push forward when using
MikeMike –
Great product pedals are great and the force feedback from the steering wheel is very good.
user285526 –
Service in the store was the only reason I purchased. It was a few bucks less online when I looked but as a small business owner I was impressed with the level of service.
Product had been above expectations as well!

Kids love it. Good price. Although I bought two and one came after Christmas. Not good. Not Best Buy but FedEx fault. However would have preferred better customer service from Best Buy.
