Cant go wrong with best of the best!

Sorry for this one. But this has been one of my worst purchase I have ever made. In addition to the poor customer service. So far we have had it for 1 year and for the past 3 months we have been without a range.

Great Product. this is a state of the art appliance. I would recommend this microwave to all.

I think the product designers at Thermadoor didn’t think much about the usability of this microwave. Here are the problems:
1. Cooking Time is slow. This unit takes longer to cook or warm than any other microwave I’ve used.
2. The light is always on and is way too bright. Stand in front of it at night, and it will cast a shadow on a wall 30 ft away. I had to put a darkening film on it, and I cover it with a dishtowel at night. (The picture has film on it.) I called product support, and was told there is no way to adjust it. I’m certain it would have been quite simple to implement a way to have the light off until you needed to use it.
3. The user interface is worthless. There are small black letters on a flat gray screen. If the light is low, the extremely bright display light prevents you from seeing the screen. My workaround was to install a Braille system with little bumpers. (See pictures. Again, darkening film is on.) Without the bumpers, you have to genuflect constantly to this luxury product.
This unit may be an interior designer’s dream, but from a user stand point, it’s terrible. It is the worst microwave I’ve ever owned.

Great microwave! Took a little while to get used to all the buttons but well worth the wait…

Great purchase! Looks good and is easy to use. A bit hard to read the controls though.

I have become really frustrated with Thermador appliances and this microwave included. Its little things like having a 1 minute button vs 30 seconds, the fact that the buttons are a bit hard to press right and that instant rice bags are too tall for this unit. Then there is the big thing- its only 950 watts. I didn’t even bother to look at the power when I bought it- assuming it would be a top of line unit. Go buy a Marie Calenders pot pie and it says that you should use an 1100 watts minimum. I tried it anyway and sure enough it didn’t cook well at all. Seriously confused why I paid so much money for Thermador appliances when they all seem to be a step back from my previous Bosch stuff. They are owned by the same company and I assumed these would be Bosh + since they are significantly more expensive.

Love part of appliance package and I think it is another brand just re branded for Thermador but drawer is the way to go hidden in island low profile
