We really like the products and would like to buy it again

  2. KRW62

This is a beautiful microwave it was rather expensive but I think in the long run worth it. It is very very quiet and you hardly even though it’s on!

  3. Shawin21

The entire process dealing with the store has been a nightmare. The communication has been horrible. The microwave is still not installed because of errors on the part of the store and now the shutdown of home visits due to COVID-19. I should have a working and functional kitchen right now, but I do not.

  4. Michele

So why are they asking me to review it??? Weird.
I bought the Kitchenaid one which I love.

  5. product

This built in microwave is attractive looking and user friendly. I do like the option for melt butter and chocolate, soft ice cream and cram cheese. I recommend this microwave to everyone.

  6. Adden01

I think there is only one reason to buy this microwave, because you need (want) it to match your other Thermador appliances. This is not a good microwave. To start it, it takes 5 button pushes and that’s using the 30 second button, if you want to set a specific time there will be at least 3 more buttons required. This is a ridiculous user interface! Cheap microwaves have a one button start and this is not cheap! It also has a startup chime that sounds like something from a sci-fi movie, which is fun at first but can’t be turned off! Also know that if you’re matching other Thermador appliances the screen color is significantly different. Last note, for being such a large microwave, it’s only 950 watts which is pretty weak. I’m frustrated every time I use this thing and hope Thermador will come to their senses and fix the interface, though I’m doubtful they will.

The main reason we bought the thermador was appearance over other brands. It does look nice.

    Knocks:
    – takes longer than other microwaves to heat things (at least twice as long)
    – the interface is not very intuitive
    – to microwave something for any amount of times, I must do 5 clicks or more (5 gets you 30 seconds, each click after that gets you 30 seconds more)

  8. MLav

Loud start button noise. Too many clicks to get it to start heating. Most other microwave ovens have just one button start. Heat power is less than other microwave ovens we used in past.

  9. Mary

it took a very long time to get this microwave, but i guess it was worth waiting

  10. MChoudhary

Awesome product and a must have with the thermador collection

  11. TF840

It is insane how many buttons must be pressed just to heat for 30 seconds. The chime is incredibly annoying and cannot be turned off. We have elderly parents that are incapable of using this microwave due to the complexity.

  12. Unhappy

Very nice looking but much too complicated to operate. Need 4-5 sensor touches to heat something up for 1 minute. KISS (keep it simple stupid).

  13. Julwan

Design and aesthetic great. Ease of use not that efficient. Looks and style are great for all luxury kitchens but for a household with high use, has some design flaws. Since the door opens frontward, the interior area is hard to reach for quick cleaning, especially the top.. if you have splatters, I need a chair or stepping stool to reach in and clean. Also the control panel bring very minimalistic, even for a quick 30 sec modes you need to navigate into the touch screen panel. The door should open upwards.

  14. MarcS

I really regret buying this microwave. I purchased it a year ago to match the Thermador wall oven, but it’s the worst microwave I’ve ever had. Like many reviews here note, the user interface is terrible – too much menu to navigate just to heat something up, And the heating is really uneven. I’m getting ready to replace it with a new one, after a year!

  15. Fantasticmicrowave

This is not your normal microwave, it is superior to other microwaves. It did take a little get use to it but now I can do pretty much everything and more in the oven.

  16. Mjc9000

Works great and looks slick but keeps resetting itself and losing the time setting. Cooks well and is a nice size but you do t expect these problems on a microwave costing this much money

  17. Bestbuymom

Nice looking microwave oven. Works as expected. Need longer arms to clean the back of the oven. Dies not have a smart app function.

  18. jags

This is such an expensive microwave but extremely poor user interface, it takes 4 key press to warm a cup of coffee for 30 seconds which is a very basic function of most of the microwave.

  19. MichaelM

    bad quality and design
horrible sound you can not turn it off
does not stay in stand by regime
display turning off and you don’t see the clock
low power for performance, it takes long time to hit food up
impossible to clean because back wall is not reachable due to door design
if you consider to new appliances with the same brand DO NOT BUY THERMADOR!!!!!!

  20. Workdcurious

What genius thought it was a good idea to make this microwave so you CANNOT turn off the annoying sounds it makes that drive us crazy! If I could rip it out of the wall myself, I would toss it in the ravine! The microwave works fine but it has a terrible digital interface IMHO.
