Used to have a Nespresso and wanted to step up my coffee game – did a bit of research on new espresso machines before landing on this one. There are a lot of different options, but liked the idea of TK-01 because of the simple touch screen + lots of drink controls
I did have to update the settings a little bit to get the flavor just right, but was easy enough and drinks are coming out great. Have had it for a few days now and loving the simplicity, taste, and how it looks on my countertop
oh, and don’t forget to pair it with great glassware:)

I was thinking about getting the Delonghi Magnifica for a while but was never really happy about the way it would look in my recently re done kitchen. I saw the Terra Kaffe and was like this looks great! I had friends over for dinner last night and made cappuccinos after dinner and everyone loved them. The milk carafe makes making them so easy. I love that it can make all these different milk drinks. The espresso is great too! Really stoked about this machine.

This machine is incredible. I finally made the jump from a pod-based espresso machine and couldn’t be happier. The espresso tastes fresher, I’m producing less waste, and the machine looks a lot better on my countertop.
The touch screen makes it easy to access exactly what I’m brewing and the customization (pressure, espresso mix rate, etc) is impressive.
I typically avoided making lattes before purchasing this machine based on the additional hardware required and mess created while making them. The TK’s including carafe froths milk well (even plant milk) with the touch of a button and automatically adds the milk to my drink at the correct time with a single push of a button. It’s effectively cut Starbucks out of my life!

Before buying the Terra kaffe, I owned a Breville for about 4 years. Man I loved that thing. It is ridiculously fun to have high quality coffee every day and be able to offer my friends espresso martinis. Anyway, then I switched to a tk-01 – didn’t realize it could get better and easier.
The biggest thing for me, switching from a manual machine to an automatic, is how fast I can make a drink. Espressos and americanos, but especially capuccinos. Before, making a drink with milk took me anywhere between 5-7 minutes in the morning and in the afternoon. Now if that’s your thing and you like the 5 min ritual, go for it. For me, the Tk-01 makes similar if not better quality drinks, and it’s significantly faster. In theory you get more precision with a manual machine, but in practice I’m not a skilled barista nor do i want to spend the time 2-3x a day to properly measure everything, run the grinder, use the grounds distributor thing, tamp it, extract, clean the portafilter, clean the steam wand, etc. 98% of the time I just want some delicious coffee and to move on with my day.
this machine is amazing. 10/10, still working great after 30 drinks. Best looking option ive found. No brainer for me. Will update this review if anything changes.

I really enjoyed the ease of use from this machine and it made some great espresso drinks, but I ended up returning it for a manual espresso machine due to it being a pain to clean. After 1-2 uses, grounds start accumulating in the side of the machine. I don’t mind cleaning the machine at all and was expecting that, it’s the difficulty of cleaning that started getting to me. I’d have to pull out the bucket that catches the grounds and then remove the brewer to really get to the spots where the grounds accumulate. I decided to switch to a manual Breville machine which isn’t as easy to use since it’s a manual machine, but is much more straight-forward and much easier to clean.

This is a great idea but there is NO customer service. They do not answer the phone . You must email them.
It has never worked properly. Watery disks , coffee grounds everywhere, water pooling and the final straw was when the Milk stopped flowing. I have returned it and hopefully the new one won’t have the same problem, if it does I am going back to buy a Jura.

My husband and I were SO excited for this. Our first purchase after getting married. Once set up, we tried it. The coffee isn’t hot. Barely like warm once it’s in the mug and ready. We watched videos on how to make it hotter, make it better, etc. still not good. The expense of the machine is not worth the coffee it produces.

I was debating between buying this or one of the Breville espresso machines. I can not speak to the Breville, but the terrakafe has been amazing. Its been great being able to make an ice white cholate mocha, espresso, americano, etc. whenever I want and never having to leave the house. The coffee tastes amazing. Its easy to maintain and clean. If you love coffee this machine is for you.

I’ve had this machine for 2 years and yesterday it just took a dump on me, I’ve done all the maintenance on it . Cleaned it as needed and it’s gone. Paid 800 for it to be deed in two years if not worth it ….

It is a gorgeous, useless nag. It beeps, it scolds, it warns, it blames. NONSTOP. This machine is utterly incapable of making one single coffee drink. Evidently, the minute it leaves the store parking lot the kill switch is deployed. The water container NEVER would seat properly and pump water through the machine. EVER. (I can honestly tell the return clerk the machine was not used.) No amount of carefully repositioning the water container, hitting the reset button, or whispering to it helped. (My husband and I fooled around with it for THREE hours before we lost our religion and pulled out the gin.) I refuse to tolerate this kind of drama and histrionics coming from an expensive machine purchased to deliver my first shot of caffeine in the morning! Shame on Terra Kaffe for not tweaking this KNOWN problem. Ask yourself: Do you have time BEFORE WORK in the morning to get on the phone with a soft spoken technical support therapist to walk you through futile steps to coax this stubborn alarm beeping monster into making your espresso? The visual appearance of this machine was so appealing to me that I ignored the honest reviews cautioning consumers that the water container does not seat properly. Result: Alarms begin beeping, machine becomes inoperable, screen becomes a mean Drill Seargent barking commands at you. All while you stare helplessly in your bathrobe wondering if you kept your Mom’s old coffee pot. Terra Kaffe TK-01 is right up there with the smoke alarm you rip out of the wall at 3:00 a.m. because it won’t stop beeping no matter how many new batteries you shove into it. We wasted HOURS trying to get this beautiful machine set up and now we are faced with repacking it all up and returning it. If the quality problems associated with functionality were addressed this machine would top my list. It is gorgeous and would fit in any kitchen if only it served it’s purpose.

A beautiful white paperweight! Prepare to enjoy great coffee for the duration of the return window. By the time you realize this machine is an absolute nightmare, it will be too late to return it. Stay away. This is a $1,000 coffee stain on your countertop. You will spend 10 minutes per day maintaining, cleaning, disassembling and reassembling this machine if you plan on enjoying your morning drink outside of the 30 day return policy.
Terra Kaffe knows when the product becomes more work than pleasure, but as long as they’ve collected their revenue to make investors happy, the founders will sleep at night.

I have to say the experience I’ve had with this machine approached diminishing returns just outside the return window. No pun intended. It’s really weird how the machine works brilliantly and then the return window lapses and BOOM! Errors, clogs, leaks, and issues galore. Doors not closing completely. Coffee grounds all over the counter. Stains. Honestly, I would just stay away. It’s not worth the money. Then when you try to claim against the warranty, they just try to walk you through a bunch of “troubleshooting steps”, which admittedly solve the problem… until 3 days later when you’re removing the dispensing head to clean individual parts all over again. If you enjoy the idea of working once a day for a good cup of coffee, this machine will be great for you.

I love coffee. I love craft coffee! So I select my soecialty coffee and make a pour over or pull a shot of espresso. All the while my wife just wants good coffee and no waiting. Gave the Terra Kafe a try and she loves it! So therefore I love it! Happy wife, happy life.

Amazing machine. Built really well.
Makes great espresso. Grinding and brewing process is quick and clean.
Only downside is you have to keep an empty cup underneath the spout. It drips water when turning on and when turning off.
