    The Tamron 24-70 g2 is definitely a lens you should get for any full frame camera. You wont regret it!

    This lens is much better than the canon version in my opinion. The IS is a must at the long end of the focal length and why canon and Nikon and all major brands didn’t put it in this lens is beyond me. But the lens is extremely sharp, the color is incredible and the bokeh is nice and creamy. The AF is very fast and very quiet. The IS is also extremely quiet. I guess I could say my only complaint is I wish that Tamron would make the switches for af and is flush to the camera like canon becuase they are very easy to accidentally switch off. Either way though for 1200 bucks this lens can not be beaten. I also shoot with the 70-200 g2 and it’s just as incredible.

    Was debating between this and the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 II USM lens, ultimately decided on going with the Tamron because of the “vibration control” feature. Image quality does not seem like it’s been sacrificed so I’m satisfied.

    I recently bought this lens from Bestbuy online. This is actually a good lens, but the model I purchased, the Tamron 24-70mm G2 EF Mount has what appears to be lint or scratch on the inside on the rear lens. It is definitely on the inside of the rear lens (part that mounts to the camera) and cannot be removed unless disassembled. I am totally dissatisfied with this simple quality defect!

    I had a Canon 24-70mm 2.8 lens that had a cable break after many years. The lens was otherwise great. I purchased this although I was a bit skeptical about a non-Canon lens. It seems every bit as good as the Canon lens at a much better price. Very responsive for auto focus.

    I sold my Canon L series version of this lens just to be able to get this Tamron one and it’s been wonderful so far. Tack sharp, fast… I wouldn’t say lightweight but it was everything I was looking for at a much lower price than the Canon brand.

    Holy mother of pearl!!! This lens is a game changer!! If your looking for a crisp lens with a large aperture for inside or low light situations, or for outdoor landscape or family photography.. look no further! This baby is considerably less than the canon equivalent and has a nifty feature called image stabilization that it’s more expensive counterpart seems to have forgot about. Built sturdy and true this lens will blow you away in almost any application.

    I love this lens! I’m able to take photos in pretty tight spaces with no problem. I was used to using 70-200mm for most portraits but I needed a lot of space to be able to focus and take full-body images. I love the compression of the 70-200mm but this lens allows me to get in closer and get “in the moment” shots. I also like being able to take everyday images with my dedicated camera.
