Finding a good headset that works for both pc and Xbox is near impossible but this one satisfies all the check marks and surpasses even the high quality headphones I’ve bought from razer or other companies. I can’t say the quality matches my Sony Headphones but it’s for gaming so it’s fine and the EQ customization and other configurable settings are really useful. The apps you can download for free with the headset are pretty nice as well for tweaking things.

Good for using another headset on my xbox with the GameDac. Xbox is very strict on audio accesories so this helps to power more hi-fi audio headphones from different brands.

Let me start off by saying, I’ve gone through multiple headsets. Astro, other SteelSeries, Corsair, etc…I’ve had plenty.
Overall, the headset is really nice. The gamedaq was a feature I was super excited about since I have both my PC and Xbox Series X. Setup was a breeze, no issues there, just plug in and go. For the sound quality, I enjoyed them, but I’d actually say I like my SteelSeries Arctis Pros better than these Novas.
A few things I noticed with this headset:
-It unfortunately had an echo. I tried so many things on my PC to alleviate this but my friends could still hear themselves talking. Other threads online I found that more people had this same issue
-Mic started dying after less than a month. I used these for both gaming and work and just 2 days ago I started getting people saying I was cutting out on phone calls while working. I had also noticed in party chats the mic would randomly stop being picked up as well.
Super unfortunate as I absolutely love SteelSeries headsets. This was the third one I’ve owned from this brand and they are the comfiest headsets ever(coming from someone who wears glasses). I decided to return these and go with the Astro A40 TRs as those also include a mixamp option.
I may or may not have just gotten a lemon headset, but I hope this helps someone decide on their purchase!

I really love the way that these sound. They have great positional sound and a pretty balanced overall sound profile. But they get very hot and almost uncomfortable to wear after a short period of time, due to the synthetic leatherette ear pads. I switched mine out with wicked cushions pretty quick.

Buy the Xbox version even if you don’t have one now. Should you ever sell it that compatibility is value added. Wish it had chat mix on ps5 like it does on Xbox but that’s Sony blocking that feature. No optical input but optical is inferior to USB unless signal interference is an issue in your set up. Coming from a pc38x/ Astro mix amp user it’s an upgrade not by a mile but by a significant amount for sure clarity wise and what not and the headphones that come with them are not trash like the like the mix amp ones the faux leather earpads are sweaty though

The headset was really good feeling but what i didnt know before i bought it was that you need windows 10 to even use it at all . So if you dont have a computer with windows 10 i wouldnt recommend it.

One of the best, if not the best mixed use multimedia/gaming headsets on the market. The build quality is top-notch, the headset is extremely comfortable (even for those with large heads), and it sounds fantastic. The mic is particularly notable. After a few minor tweaks in sonar, people frequently comment on how great my voice sounds through it. If mic quality is of utmost importance to you, avoid the wireless version of this headset.

One of the best wired headsets you can get. The only thing I don’t like about this headset is the leathery earpads. Your ears will get sweaty. This is a problem easily corrected by ordering a new set from the Steel Series website.

This is the best headset I have used for gaming as I stream and upload videos to YouTube. The aux out port for external connections is great as it provides a simple way to connect a capture card audio signal. Overall highly recommend.

Have had Astro a40 TR with mix amp in the past, which I used for BR/FPS games. Tried to use them again but the mixamp wont update. Known issue by Astro/Logitech and they still wont fix. Researched headsets and found the steelseries artctis pro nova set. Tried the wireles which were good but a bit pricey for what I use my headset for (normally game at a desk). The game dac with this unit is amazing. Many settings that can be accessed while plugged into a console. Even more unlocked when you hook it up to a pc and use the software. Changing preset EQ’s (Apex, CoD, Pubg, etc.) on the fly while plugged into the console is fire. I find this headset to be leaps and bounds ahead of the Astro’s especially for the price. However get the best bang for your buck by waiting until they go on sale. Best decision ever to grab these. 10/10 would recommend for gaming.

This was my first time purchasing a high end gaming headphone, and let me tell you it’s worth it. Very light and super comfortable. The sound quality is superb and the microphone is top tier. The design is sleek and has many great features. The audio base station really adds to the high end experience.
