I was able to take selfies and also steady shots with a tripod…
Grapes –
It works great for steadying your camera for shooting video and pictures. Very convenient controls!

This grip is not a gimbal. Not that’s understood. It functions as a mini-tripod and a great grip (large cicumference) when legs are closed. As you use the basic control buttons on the grip you’ll see how this is easier than pressing the buttons on the camera. My hands and fingers are not overly large but if you can relate to attempting to simply press down on the video record button you’ll understand. If using for a selfie shot…it is so easy to flip up the screen of the RX100 and have the grip oriented to take your shot…you don’t have to be a contortionist. It is a bit pricey…but there’s nothing really out there that you plug in and control functions with on handed control pad.
Protocoldroid –
I like that you can hold in your hand or it converts to a mini tripod. Controls on the unit easy to control the basic functions of the camera.

Sony – Shooting Grip, works well with the Sony RX100 M6
RedBaron –
handy little grip. Offers convenient camera operation. Ships with a cloth storage bag. I purchased a hard case on line or better travel protection.
Zoinks –
Not as useful as it looks but cool remote features
Steve415 –
This is a very small grip with buttons to take stills or video. It is small to fit even in a pocket and is good for vlogging – handheld or on a table.
KrevihG –
At first I thought this was just a novelty item but it was actually very helpful in keeping your hand steady and great for selfies. My camera is so small I’m afraid it would fall off my hand.
Drone –
This is the perfect tripod for getting some footage while traveling
YEsMan –
A handy handle. Makes taking pictures and handling the camera a breeze! Anything thing to carry tho, but free with purchase!
chhica –
you won’t regret it. you can use it very simple with one hand, shoot pics, record video and many things with one hand.

I m happy to have this.

Super easy to use and I’m very happy with it!!! If looking for a tripod for your camera I highly recommend

This came with the package deal on a Sony RX 600 VI Camera. We took it to Italy for 11 days and never pulled it out to use it. The tri pod has to have an almost flat level surface to be useful. It may have helped slightly with selfies but it is not needed or worth the cost.
Jmelramos –
I love this and it makes traveling really easy. Can take pictures of yourself really easy.
Klg01 –
Works perfect for Sony rx0. Size and handle is very good
MytoysNdaHood –
I bought this for my Sony RX 100VI and I love it! It has all the buttons to zoom take a picture all while sitting on top of the stick. What are you convenience of not having to hold the camera or fear of dropping it just put it on top of the stick and start shooting your pictures and away you go!
Gregg –
The shooting grip is not only a great little tripod equipped with basic controls to state a photo or short movie, but it also has a lever to advance the camera’s lens from wide angle to telephoto. The thumb screw mount swivels to allow for a limited range of camera movement.
Jhuiz –
Absolutely worth the price and extremely convenient!
Ralph905v –
This grip is a great addition to Sony RX cameras. Compact and light weight, but a big help in handling of camera when shooting video, vlogging, or selfies. And it’s a mini tripod as well.
Danny –
I like the controls and that it can be used both handheld and sitting on a surface.
Charg5 –
Works great with my Sony camera, much steadier now with the small camera. Works for stills and video and easy zoom control.
Djvortex –
Works as expected and nice add on the RX100vi or any other version
Freddy –
I am so happy having this Sony Shooting grip.
Its so easy and to use. Am using this fir my Sony HX80 camera.
Can take photo or video one at a time while driving.
A plus also to the fact that it will stand.
I can use is for video while we have party event.
And by having this Sony shooting grip, your camera will last longer because you are not constantly touching it other than turning it “ON”…

We loved this. It came in good hands when we Wanted to selfie!

This tripod works pretty well with RX100 VII camera. I was able to control the zoom and take photo or video. This is a good to have.
Kevinl –
Expensive and doesn’t do much. May buy fur $50 nit at $100. Just pay more to get gimbal instead.
Reviewbb –
Decent shoot grip for selfie and video recording. Would love if the shooting grip could extend just a little more but beside that, it does what it supposed to.
walt –
works really great on my sony hx 80 camera and very easy to use
Itauditing –
Works fine. Easy to hold. Good for solo travelers but there’re better solutions.

I purchased this item to make using my Sony RX100 camera a little easier. For me, it is difficult at times just handling this pocket camera with my clumsy fingers and this gadget makes it so much easier. You just mount the camera by screwing it onto the shoe, plug the connector cord into the camera and you have shooting control of your camera with one hand. You can fold the legs together to hold the device in your hand making it so much easier to have firm control of the camera and can press a button (this also activates autofocus) to take your picture and zoom in or out on the subject (works for video too). You can also open the legs and set the camera on a table or other stable platform to use it as a mini tripod. I found this on sale so it wasn’t full price so it made it a little more “ok” to purchase and it makes using my camera so much easier.
ElderGeekGamer –
This does what it is supposed to. It’s a simple, well built solution that provides both mini tripod and hand held convenience for selfie videos and more. Easy to access the basic controls needed. I use it with my Sony RX100 VII
Jbravo70 –
This pairs perfectly with the Sony RX 100 but honestly it’s too much price for something pretty simple. If you have the money by it because it works perfect with the Sony RX
Darrin –
It goes perfectly with my Sony RX video camera and is very stylish.
I am happy that I bought this gadget indeed and will recommend to all my friends.
AlexDASurfer –
Great extra feature for the camera Easy to hold when active and shoot on the move and also good as a a small tripod Easy to carry
Hank –
This product can either be used as a tripod or grip. I needed it for the grip. The Sony RX 100 VII is like a slippery bar of soap. I found the grip to be just right for me. Easy to attach for extended holding and more stabilization. My only complaint is I would prefer the video and photo buttons switched. This is intended for vloggers so I can see why they gave video the priority spot on the grip. At $100 it is expensive but you will have to decide if it is worth it. I really appreciated that you can control the zoom from it.
Andy –
Easy to use and helps get great pictures with a better grip of the camera
Ladapraew –
The price is so reasonable. It is light and you can carry everywhere
MrPBE –
This is pocket sized and simple to use it unfortunately does not work with sony point and shoot as suggested by the sales person.
Heafphobes –
Not great I could not download what I could heat so I stopped. Not great to handle
Nocommet –
This tripod is perfect match for my all compact cameras, whenever any situations there are always fit in with this little one
Steven6969 –
Works ok. Not a wireless device though. I was expecting a little more for the price, but still it works as listed.
Chelle –
Cant believe it took me so long to buy one of these! Easy to use and nice camera accessory
AnthonyM –
Excellent grip with lots of potential. I use it as a tripod to take selfies too. The only issue us tge attach point should be a more flush 90 degree Micro USB. The inner connections break. I have limited use of my left arm and hand so this changes my ability to photograph. I get lots of positive comments.
Coachsnake –
MAKES SHOOTING PICTURES EASIER WITH ARTHRITIC HANDS.
VictorG –
Perfect for the RX100 VII. Easy to use, lightweight and small.
JorgeR –
Great grip. Sturdy and good looking. Compact and lightweight.
KWFGal220 –
Works great as advertised. Uses the unique Sony plug.
Unknown –
Good hadn’t had a problem with it yet and it’s easy to use
