    I bought a set to pair with a vintage turntable. Since I don’t listen to my LP’s much I was primarily interested in affordability rather than quality.

    These are VERY LOUD! Even when powered with a mini FOSI amplifier, they are very efficient, and so do not require much power to fill a room with music. I am using a tube pre-amp, which makes my modest system sound like a vintage power receiver system. With rock, this is perfect.

    One more thing – my hearing is impaired, so I really here the low end of the sonic spectrum. But to me they are more than pleasing.

    Hope this helps a potential buyer. In my opinion, for a modest amount of money, you can get something to use while you save up for a better pair, like Polk or Klipsch.

    I did some homework prior to purchasing these speakers, so I gave them a try. My system consists of SONY front and rear speakers, ELAC center speaker, SK subwoofer. With a Denon receiver, and what a sound!!! The SONY speakers have exceptional clarity for there price-point…

    Great quality speakers and built in crossovers. Literally the only thing not making these cost hundreds more is the cheap pressed wood material the box is made of. As long as they stay dry they should be great speakers for years to come.

    These speakers work phenomenally!
    I love the feature of being able to turn the bass and treble up and down!
    The bass works so well too!! Blue tooth connects to my vinyl and phone so easily. Perfect speakers.

    Quantity for quality. If you are looking for an entry system this will suit the needs, but if you are someone who gets a taste of something and desires more you will try to expand on your audio entertain. Great entry level to eventually expand on to surround sound.

    I have owned these speakers for over two years now and I can honestly say that they are still some of the best speakers that I’ve owned. I’ve bought and sold many speakers at this point and currently have MartinLogan’s Motion XT series in my living room. Despite that, I still own these speaker and still listen to them daily. They are that good.

    They’re not on the same level as the Motions, as well they shouldn’t be. There’s a $4,300 difference, but I think it needs to be pointed out that I still use these despite owning those too.

    I think you definitely should wait until they go on sale. It does happen pretty often and it makes the value of them that much better. They’re also easy to drive and can pair well with pretty much any type of amplifier. I’ve had them paired with a Sony STR-DH590, a cheap ChiFi amp, a Marantz NR1711, and a Cinema 40. They sound great on all of them so rest assured that no matter what you pair with them, you’ll have a good time. I can’t say enough good things about these speakers.

    I like them. Looked at tons of reviews comparing to Elac ( more expensive) Numi, Polk, Micca etc. The pundits say is not a good speaker; no base; no stage presence, too loud on the high end, etc. A lot of negative reviews are based on trying to use this speaker as home theater or in big rooms. Look these are only 120 bucks and are entry level. For my use in a small office they are great. Plenty of bass, maybe a little bright on female vocals. I don’t know why many say there is no bass, I guess they want to shake their house foundations but for normal music listening they sound great, especially in a small room (which they are designed for) Are super hifi? well, no. Do they have booming bass? No; but they have a pleasant sound. I would not pay $200 for them though.

    This is continued from the 2 channel receiver review. It ended with guilt. My wife was feeling bad from mental illness and family members coming to live with us and said to buy all the high end stuff you want. I didn’t got these and the wails of the dying ended.

    These speakers were hooked up to an old Technics record player. The size of the speakers fit perfectly, easy to hookup and the sound is great! Just in time for Christmas – listened to Nat King Cole and Johnny Mathis!
