    amazing quality, specifically on a canon R6 camera. has to be calibrated on other non-mirrorless cameras due to focusing issues, but I haven’t experienced issues since switching to mirrorless. focuses about 90% of the time, which is fine by me.

    If you mainly use Canon EF and RF lens, this lens is noticeably slower to focus. Especially in low light.

    Tack Sharp, super bright lens. I’m using this on my D90, this lens is tack sharp, let’s in tons of light (hence no need for OIS), highly recommend for Portraits or every day lens.

    Built like a rock. Metal, not plastic. No image stabilization. Very true to life colors. Not as vibrant or vivid as Canon’s RF 50mm L lens, but just as sharp. Focusing also just as fast. Also same are the faint clicking and buzzing noise as it focuses which your camera’s mic would probably pick up if you’re doing video. Bokeh is there although I’m having a hard time seeing the separations. Maybe I’m just used to Canon’s. I can’t complain about the image quality, but I fail to see the “art” in this lens. I would not pay $900 for this, but on sale for $750 it’s about right.

    I have this paired with my canon r5 and it’s one of my go to lenses for couples portraits. I just love the look that it gives. I was worried about how well it would perform with having to adapt it to the rf mount. But the autofocus works great! You can’t get maximum frame rate but that’s fine for my needs.

    My son is the photographer but he was told this is the best lens to get hands down for the particular night club and individual people. Not too long after getting the lens he ended up with the job there. His other lens was a real wide aperture I believe this is a wide aperture but just perfect for taking photos of people in a dark atmosphere. This is actually his second lens from them that he uses with his Cannon Mark 6 I believe base. We’ll all I know is he didn’t get the no. Until he got this lens then they gave it to him once they saw the difference in that environment that his photos looked liked. The right equipment goes a long way.
