This review comes after 7 weeks of daily use.
I’ve been a Bosch dishwasher gal for the longest time. My old unit finally kicked the bucket and courtesy of the supply chain issues the ability to order one wasn’t there.
Needing something that was as quiet as my old dishwasher and cleaned just as well and could be delivered before 2099 I opted for this Samsung. I am SO glad I did.
I’ve been heating element and garbage disposal free for 18 years and believe me when I say it’s much nicer to have a stainless steel interior and no heating element. Plastics and anything marked ‘top rack only’ can go on the bottom with no issues.
The door that pops open is a nifty idea. Not only are the tops of my glasses, etc. drier than with my previous Bosch but they aren’t flaming hot either. I can unload the dishwasher much faster if I’m running a load mid day.
The 3rd rack is my newest ‘must have from now on’ feature. I can put silicone can lids, all my kitchen utensils, all my flatware, etc on that. It is SO much easier to place the utensils on that rack than in the baskets and all the items come out CLEAN. Yes, you can still use the baskets if you want but I put mine in the pantry and use that space for other items.
The noise made is exactly the same as the Bosch…where you can’t hear the machine so the little lights on the front are convenient as my counter covers the top panel and who wants to peek between the top of the door and the counter to see if the blue countdown light is on. This puppy is QUIET.
As far as the StormWash it does an equally great job on baked on food as it does everything else. I fold down the tines in that spot, lay my pots over where the storm wash element is and no fuss, no muss. Clean cookware.
All in all I have zero regrets buying this dishwasher and my mind has been changed from ‘Bosch only’.

Received this and immediately had problems with dishes not being cleaned. Changed dishwasher solution since I thought that might be the problem. Then started getting water supply errors. After 3 weeks I called Best Buy to complain. They responded and sent out Best Yet installers who originally installed it (no complaints about them they’re great) and they determined the pump was defective and thought a replacement was needed. So Best Buy sent their Geek squad to evaluate problems and he was very thorough and spent hours evaluating everything. His determination was the pump wasn’t working properly and needed replacement which will be done in yet another week. What I did learn is that Samsung does not replace defective appliances even those less than 30 days without extensive evaluation. This is definitely a factor to consider when buying

The product so far is fine, quiet and efficient. My only issue was the surprise that it did not come with a plug ?? Thank GOD I have a partner that could figure it out. Most likely it is my fault for not reading the small print, but I did not expect best buy to sell appliances where the customer has to buy a kit to hook up the electrical and attach the cord the plug. the sides are not there either.. just fiberglass. I thought I was buying a product that I could slide in under my counter and plug in… that was not the case. We had to wait a week for the electrical kit. If my partner did not have this skill set, we would have had to pay an electrician or assembly professional to do this for us, costing a few hundred dollars. I felt mislead. Best buy should do better.

This washer is beautiful, but it does not work. Am waiting for a replacement, so it’s hard to say how well it works. Best Buy has been helpful and courteous in replacing it. Will see how the next one works (or doesn’t). I do think the placement of the tines to hold dishes is not efficient but maybe I just have to get used to it. It is very quiet when I can get it to turn on.

Great dishwasher but please be aware of the controls on top, as long as its exposed, can easily control, but if top is going to be covered then controls becomes tough to use. Performance wise, really good diswasher.

Hardly fits anything inside, the third rack takes away what little storage space there is. Nothing is ever the slightest bit dry. Started having an “LC” error within one month of using it which required a complete disassembly to let a sensor dry out. Quality and Performance are extremely poor.

My dishwasher started leaking from the door after about six months. The unit is not properly aligned. Samsung won’t honor the warranty saying it’s damage from installation or delivery. Best Buy refuses to do anything about it as well saying it’s Samsung’s fault and should be covered under their warranty. Meanwhile I’m stuck with a dishwasher that leaks and two companies that will not do anything about it. I would avoid buying appliances from Best Buy and don’t count on Samsung to help you out either. Dishwasher worked well when it wasn’t leaking, but so much for that.

Functions exactly as expected. The decibel rating alone was worth the extra money; it’s far superior to our old Whirlpool.
My only frustration is that the handles on our silverware are too thick (square handles) to fit easily into either silverware rack. It’s functional, but I can only use 60% of the slots at a time. So if you have silverware with thick handles, be aware that this could be an issue.

My ancient Kenmore was an absolute beast but when it died, we updated it with a Samsung as we have all our appliances. Within the first week it stopped turning on and someone from Samsung had to come out and fix it, twice. It does a pretty good job, has plenty of features and space but feels pretty cheap inside and does not clean even half as good as our old one did. Also does not dry at all. I’m fairly disappointed because we usually stand behind Samsung 100%. This one just doesn’t hit the mark.

3.5 if I could give 1/2 point. Dishwasher died during lock down so didn’t have time to actually look at other models as I would do normally. Choose it because of the low noise level. Cleans well but not a fan of the “drying mode” or the top rack as it gets in the way more often than it’s usefulness.

I bought this a year ago, installed a few months ago and will now probably buy something else to replace it.
It had a leak from the inside, so i toom it apart and emptied the drip pan. This has happened twice.
The door doesn’t seal properly consistently, despite doing my best every night to wiggle it and make sure it’s tight. Even then, about 30% of the time, i find water on the floor.
Overall its very flimsy. The racks when loaded with dishes are very wiggly and unstable feeling. The kitchenaid at our vacation rental was way sturdier.
There is no heated dry function so the only way to get dry dishes is to run on sanitize mode and buy jet dry
The feature that pops the door open to steam is poorly thought out. The steam escapes through the sides and strips the finish from your cabinets.
