This gas dryer unit was purchased in a duo with the washer. I am thrilled with the efficiency of its drying capacity. Coupled with the washer’s superior water extraction, laundry loads dry in a jiffy. There are mutiple automatic and timed cycles. I have not used the steam cycle, yet. This unit does not come with a drying rack, for specific items, but apparently is available from the manufacturer for purchase. I have this unit on a pedestal for convenience. Word of caution. Have your gas line checked by your plumber to be sure that all shut offs meet local codes. Delivery will not install if proper shutoffs are not present, on the gas line, at dryer connection point. You will need a flexible, non copper gas line connector. Preparation is mandatory to save frustrations.

THE DRYING TIME IS VERY QUICK EVEN WITH SWEATSHIRTS OR THICK MATERIALS. ONLY ONE GLITCH, THE COMPLETION SIGNAL EVEN WHEN SET ON LOUD CANNOT BE HEARD IN ANOTHER ROOM. VERY EASY TO USE BUT BE SURE TO PURCHASE THE PEDESTALS, WORTH EVERY PENNEY.

Overall, this Samsung washer has been excellent and is quite a departure from the traditional (top load) washer that I previously used (12+ years).
The wash cycles do seem longer, but my clothes come out so clean and fresh, I am fine with waiting on the wash cycle to complete (plus the clothes take almost no time in the Samsung dryer that I bought with the washer).
I would buy this washer again.
