I just got this washing machine delivered couple of days ago. When I went to the local best buy to look for a washer/dryer I was not sure which one I wanted to get. I had Bosch in mind but they did not carry any in the store but the sales rep pointed out this new Samsung. Comparing to Bosch, this model has a lot of features such as wool cycle and handwash. It also has the new steam technology that for example Electrolux has but at much higher price. Although the most expensive models of Electrolux washers have great reviews, they were out of my price range. This model was on special sale promotion and I got it for $450 less.
I already washed about 10 loads and am very satisfied. The machine is very easy to operate, just read the manual once to have an idea what cycle is for what type of laundry. First I was little upset I could not see inside the drum but I just figured out you can press two buttons at once to switch the light on. It is very quiet, the design is beautiful and it seems that it is a very sturdy machine. The clothes come out looking fresh, fluffy and just smelling clean even when using much less of detergant.
I am sure that any brand can occur a problem that’s why I got the warranty as well.
I also recommnend to use it with Persil laundry detergant that is very gentle for these HE washing machines and works miracle on stains!

Hello, The samsung 431 is Awesome, Great featurs,Awesome peformance, Easy to use. Performes above and beyond expections. Cleans cloths,and larg bed sets like a breeze. This machine very efficient uses very little water. Powerfoam is not a gimmic it dose work. Spins every thing almost completly dry. Very quiet machine. Steam is worth the money. This washer cleaning ability is second to none samsung knocked this one out of the park people !

I researched thoroughly for more than 2 months for a surprise washer with all the features my wife would want and this washer stood out amongst the competition in it’s class.It met all her needs and more including all the bells and whistles and cleaning loads of laundry fast.This washer has swagger,It has over 11 premium features including the impressive VBT which make the unit unbelievably quiet the “power foam technolongy” is impressive it definetly leaves our clothes very very clean..I totally agree with JD Powers rating on Samsung washers as the best washers,a little pricy but worth every penny….My wifes loves it..No complaints so far!!

Steam cycle removes stains well does take longer to do laundry in steam mode. Extra spin cycle works well too, this allows for less dryr time.

Great machine! Did my reproach before purchasing. Wanted to get the best buck for my dollar. Wouldn’t get anything else. Several cycles, efficient, spins everything dry so not much time in the dryer, most of all….replaced a piece of junk.mmpreviously had an all in one unit (washer and dryer in one.). I live in a town home and this was a perfect fit. Saves on water and energy. Couldn’t have asked for anything else.

Has a feature to was the bedding comforter. Steam cleaning helps remove odors from towels and gym clothes. Saves water by weighing the load. Easy to use despite numerous features. Was expensive, but found on sale. Plays a pleasant tune when finished.

After reading oodles of reviews and several visits in person to look at the options, I am really confident in my choice. This is my first machine without an agitator, and I love the results.
VERY QUIET – I only hear it when the water is running or draining. NO ODOR – and this was a point of great hesitation, but it hasn’t been an issue at all. I stick an old sock near the hinge so it doesn’t close all the way, and my super-sensitive nose doesn’t detect any moldy smells. There has been less lint in the dryer, so I’m thinking it’s gentler on my clothes, too.
No mention of this in other reviews, but after the final spin, the tub moves around a few times to allow clothes to tumble so they don’t wrinkle or stick to the tub walls. Very smart!
Pricey, but you get what you pay for, and this one is worth it.

This washer uses very little water to clean your clothes and is super quiet when running. After reading many reviews (check out Consumer Reports rating) and doing some research, I chose to purchase. This washer has many features and easily fits a queen comforter. The steam function is great and you can see the difference in the colors appearing brighter. Would highly recommend.

I have only had this washer for about a month or so and I really like it a lot. I have 3 children so I constantly have laundry to wash. I use the quick wash setting as I am always wanting to get done as soon as possible. They take around 30 minutes depending on the settings you choose. The other settings are okay to have but they do take 1 to at least 2 hours depending on how you set it. Those are nice to have but I feel 30 minutes does a great job and I am extremely happy with how they come out clean. You won’t be sorry with this purchase.

I had a front load washer that gave out after 8 years of hard labor. I loved it, but now I am loving doing laundry even more than before. My first test was grape juice that my son spilled on his sheets. They sat for a few hours before I got them in the washer. I only used a small amount of detergent and put it on the steam cycle. Came out completely. Most loads I use the quick cycle and our (3 kids, 2 adults) clothes come out totally clean–softer and dryer than before. My old dryer only takes one cycle instead of the 1.5-2 cycles it used to. It is quiet, doesn’t rock the house and is beautiful! My favorite extra is the light. ‘Cause when you have kids, sometimes you just need to sit and watch your laundry get clean!

The machine does what it says, and there are not many things you can say that about today. Clothes are clean, the machine is very quiet. Cycles are a little long.
I would give 5 stars if not for issues with the bleach dispenser. It is hard to fill and when you leak a little the cheap faux chrome strip gets eaten by the bleach no matter how well you clean it up.

While it washes clothes well, after a couple years of ownership, the spin cycle became deafeningly loud. To service this unit will cost $200 plus parts. I have since found out online that is a common problem on this unit.
