We purchased this unit 2 months ago. At first it worked great, then after normal use we noticed the door wasn’t opening as easily. After a closer look the top of the microwave was caving in on one side and the motor was falling out of the bottom. The unit was never dropped and was not dented when we got it.
We called Samsung and they sent a technician out which was a joke because he took the same pictures we already took. He never looked to see if anything was going on inside it. It was ruled as physical damage so not covered under warranty.
We don’t feel comfortable using the unit in fear that something is melting the outside casing the last thing we need is a fire.
Don’t waste your money on this microwave like we did

It needs pre-programmable timer, louder and longer finished buzzer, and light up keypad … Everything else works wonderful, easy clean up and lower running noise than any I’ve used before.

1st, Bestbuy is great. No complaints with them. My problem is this poorly manufactured microwave. So far it “cooks” just fine, but it is extremely loud. The noise is incredibly annoying. Samsung tried to have the 1st one repiared 4x and it just ended up more broken. They finally issued a refund and I brought a second one. The seconnd one is not as loud but the noise is there. Seriously, this is the kind of product I would expect from the Soviet Union in the 80s.
Why would I buy it again? Because i built a home and had the spot made specifically for this unit.
Really disappointed in the product and Samasung customer service is attrociuous. Wish I went LG like my gut told me.

Great price for this microwave. However there are a few times that the door fogs and take time to clear up. It has a deodorizing option but I did not notice any difference in smell after running it. It provides a handful of preset options, so you have to play around and figure out how long for poppin popcorn, oatmeal or other common items. Otherwise, the black stainless steel is a great color and hides fingerprints. I was looking for a reasonably priced microwave and this one was a good choice.

Not happy with this microwave at all. Definitely a downgrade from our previous microwave. You can’t set the kitchen timer AND cook something in the microwave at the same time (this is seems like outdated tech). Also noteworthy is the timer notification is literally ONE beep. So once the timer is done, if you are briefly out of the room and miss it, you wouldn’t know unless you looked at the clock. Also super unhappy with the fact that the button is sticky now and doesn’t open the door unless we bang on the door to get it to open. We are 1 week past our 1 year warranty…though this has been happening for months and I neglected to check our original purchase date. Don’t waste your money here!!!

Complete Waste of money. I should have returned it when we first got it. It was so loud when it ran. It stopped heating food all together. We contacted support and they were useless. It would have cost more money to pay the service tech to look at it compared to buying another microwave.

My microwave was purchased on 3/8/21 and it already is going to be thrown away. It turns on when we open the door. That is dangerous. I would avoid this microwave at all costs. It is too expensive to malfunction this way.

We had this microwave installed in our new build home. I have all matching samsung appliances and this model was the only one to fit our built in cabinet. I had read reviews about how badly the open/close button malfunctions, but was hopeful that I would have a different outcome. Alas, that was not to be. The button sticks after being pushed in and we have to hit the door like “The Fonz” to make it pop open. I would like it if it had “minute buttons”. Like a quick one minute heat up. Other than that, it is a nice microwave. Just put a real handle on the door please!

I depend on reviews to purchase things so I decided to leave a review because I was so unsure of this purchase. Overall, I am happy with it.
I will start by saying it arrived damaged with a large dent in the top corner, which was frustrating. Obviously not a fault of Samsung or Best Buy but if you have the option to pick up rather than have it shipped. Might be a better option.
As far as the button sticking, ours does not have this issue. We did just purchase it so Im not sure if this is an issue that develops later however the other reviews make this seem as it is an issue right out of the box. (We do also have the trim kit, and still no issues).
As far as noise, ours does make the louder buzzing for the first second or two of use… Personally I feel the “noisy” reviews are a little dramatic.. The microwave buzzes, but to me it is not noticeably more significant than any other microwave. Truly, how often is your microwave on that it bothers you so much?
For those that purchased the trim kit this is for you. Our house was a new build where the previous owners only lived here for like a year… There was a cutout/cubby that they just had a microwave sitting in which slid around and just looked bad, so I was hoping the trim kit would work for us. Like other reviews have said, the instructions are not the best. However, if you just take a second to read them along with the pics, it is not difficult to figure out. Clearly they were not accurately translated. Our opening was about 1/4″ off from their measurements but we were still able to make it work just fine. You need a “Torx” screwdriver and the manual tells you a T15H and you actually need a T20H. It also give s a drill bit size that is incredibly off. Otherwise, like I said the installation was pretty simple and aesthetically it looks GREAT!! It sucks the trim kit is so expensive, but I am glad we purchased it because it looks so nice!!

I ordered an open box with no damage but i got a dented up one and when i called/ chat to get a fix to the problem the person was clue less she wanted me to return it and at the same time order a new one which would cost me more
