We recently had to replace our iPad because of damage. This time we asked about protective cases that would stand up to being used by 8 year olds.
While they are not being careless, accidents happen. This case has already seen more than a few slips and drops without allowing the iPad to be impacted.
Well worth the price for the added protection.
Honesty –
Great protection for iPad and also it comes with a screen protector on the case that’s great and it has a place when you can put your apple pen
B5252 –
Protects the new iPad Pro perfectly. It’s not too bulky as well. The handle on the back is very helpful
Awesomeness –
This is not my first protector case. I have had one for each of my iPads. The best thing about it is that it really works. I only talk about the awesome products that work for me. We need to always protect things we want to keep safe.
FatRoofer –
Durable, light.. easy to install. I remove the safety glass and use a Zagg Invisishield.
Shaan –
Goes on easily, and all buttons are easy to use with cover (unlike other cases). Ease of access to charging port, and screen shield is strong, but allows Apple pencil to scribble on Ipad. Love this case
SFour –
High quality product at a reasonable price. The hand strap useful.

Works great love it, works good for us as we use the i pad at vendor shows
Xboxlive –
Protects well with the whole iPad in-cased. Like the back rotating handle to keep from dropping, since 12.9 inch is large. Pretty heavy case though.
ATM3 –
This case is very useful for maneuvering the iPad and changing landscape to portrait.
FBarnes –
Well made case. It protects my ipad prefectly. Love the hand held option with stand.
Sdietz –
It’s a really nice case. Heavy duty, love the handle and ability to stand the iPad up. Screen is sometimes hard to see when outside in the sun but overall great.
Charlie –
Does a great job protecting my iPad, nice handle on the back. Just wish when I lay it down flat to write on it. It would lay flat and not wobble due to the handle
BrianB –
Very strong and durable, great design and safely holds my pencil.
Jacko –
Good Case, but hard to get on and off…but the protection is there with this case.
Cici –
Definitely a great case protects my case so good so when I accidentally drop it I don’t have to worry if it will break or anything
urfavritndn –
just what we needed for protection. rugged cases are the future

Got this for my boyfriend. He wasn’t aware of the plastic screen protector when he showed me the product and he isn’t a big fan of it. Overall, he likes it and says “that’ll do.”

Very heavy, great protection and quality. Think about weight of unit
Luna –
So far so good. Minus one star for poor directions. Extremely difficult to open. Bought as gift. Owner complains it’s too heavy.
Jelani –
Protects my iPad great worth the wait very good feel on my ipad

I bought a cheap one off Amazon. What a mistake. It was something I don’t ever do. Waste of money as you get what you pay for. Bought this and it fits like a glove. Apple Pencil charges since it actually just attacked o to the top of the iPad. The hand strap is perfect fire when I am in the field.
Sarah –
It’s a strong cover, however it arrived with some defects on the screen protector part itself. It allows dust and dirt to get behind it also. It’s nice in that it has a handle.
CordlessV15 –
Easy and light to carry! Greta protection and a spot for the pen
John –
Much needed due to the weight of the biggest iPad to date.

It’s a hand held sleeve. It’s made of multi layers so I good protection if you just so happen to drop it -or knock it off the couch. The built in screen protector keeps my actual screen clean and crack free..
Teetee –
Great case, i got this case for my ipad bestchoice ive made! Definitely toddler approved!
FeliciaC –
We love this product. It’s actually the second one we have bought for our second iPad. I love the strap that allows you to hold it easily and rotate it.
Marky –
Works great as described. Great protection. Solid.

One of the best options available for this price range I can feel confident that my 2k device is in good hands & protected for pennies. I didn’t like the screen cover felt very plastic but I have zagg screen protector so removed this cover screen and it’s nice
ErinM –
I love this case cause it’s offbrand Otterbox with a built in screen protector so its even better.
WendyN –
exactly what the pictures look like, sturdy with easy way to hold and work on. I like that it has a place for my apple pen.

Don’t get me wrong, this case offers excellent protection for the iPad and Apple pencil and even leaves enough room to use an ESR silicone Apple pencil cover. The protection is great, but there are two small openings on the back where the strap goes through. I assume these are there so the device doesn’t overheat inside the case, but they do, however, directly expose the back of the iPad, which is something I think could be fixed by using some type of dust screen or filter material.
Another issue is that there’s a lack of utility for the stand, as the strap feels like it’s in the way, but they likely had to add the kick stand due to the strap causing the device to not lie flat on most surfaces it’s placed on. The kickstand is hard to operate as far as getting it to engage in a locked position and also disengage its lock due to the strap being located directly on top of the kickstand. The strap can be removed, but I feel the strap is a good part of the reason why people would have purchased this case.
The case makes the iPad feel quite heavy due to the materials that were used, but it is very sturdy and feels solid. I removed the plastic built-in screen protector along with the adhesive, which made room for a Zagg tempered glass screen protector, which is the way to go for sure and what I’ve been doing for many years with Otterbox cases. There’s also room for an ESR tempered glass camera lens protector. The hand strap does work very well, is comfortable, and should hold up for a long time. There are holes for the speakers, microphones, and sensors, and the buttons work well and keep from being accidentally pressed.
The pencil holding slot increases the overall size of the device, so if you decide to get a laptop case, then account for the size of the device being a little larger than 13″. The circular plate that houses the stand on the back of the case can be removed to expose the rear aluminum housing of the iPad, allowing plenty of room for an iPad cooler to be attached or a cooling pad or stand to be used effectively. As seen in the photos I super glued four fairly powerful magnets to the back plate so the case would lie flat and also stay put when placed on anything metal, such as a stand, side of a PC case, door, or a fridge. I also removed the kick stand and one side of the circular plate to shed some weight and I may figure out a way to incorporate a small cooling fan or three at some point.
All in all, if your main focus is protecting the device and pencil from drops, or if you give presentations or something of that nature where a hand strap would be ideal, then it’s a pretty solid choice if you don’t mind the added weight. You may be able to save some money and get something similar, but the majority of cases available for this model are costly anyway, and if you save money by purchasing this case, then I’d also recommend it.

We have had this case for about a year. My 9 year old is very rough on everything, so it was imperative for a sturdy case. After about 6 months, the stand on the back broke off. This could have been from his carelessness.
After about 9 months, the screen was very cloudy, but he eats and touches it, so again probably user error.
Overall I gave it a 4 out of 5, because of the clip on the back snapping off so soon.
This case is sturdy, but light weight. Please note it only holds specific sized pens. Because of how rough my son is, I refused to buy him the apple pen. We bought one version and it worked well with the case, when it broke, we bought a cheaper knock off and it wasn’t long or wide enough and wouldn’t stay in the holder.
Overall, I would recommend this case, it’s kept his iPad in great condition and that’s what is important!
