I like this product, it has a decent microphone with good feedback, both blue tooth, usb dongle, and optional wired connection. The docking station is nice, but slightly touchie and has to be in the right spot to charge properly. If you dont like this feature you can always charge it the traditional way with the cable though. I like the program that goes with this headset, it has the ability to increase the noise of things like footsteps which is great in games like Valorant. Overall, it fits nicely on the head and doesnt get too hot or uncomfortable after all day use. It feels durable and the RGB on the headset is a nice touch. My boyfriend and I went through so many headsets until we finally found this one.

Disconnects atleast once every 5 hours good comfort & build quality not very much features but lightweight and simple

So I bought these around December of 22, where I did a full revamp of my PC peripherals with ROCCAT PC accessories. And for the most part, I’ve enjoyed the swap out. ROCCAT has made some top of the line PC gaming peripherals.
Except for this headset.
Now, let’s talk about the positive’s of this headset:
– When it’s functioning correctly, this is a solid PC gaming headset.
– Audio quality is good, I’m able to hear omnidirectional sounds in a fairly crisp manner, and the audio comes out clean.
– Headset is pretty comfortable. Cushions and shape well to being worn for hours at a time without feeling heavy or uncomfortable.
However, I have 3 glaring issues with this, that have made me decide that I will look for a different headset.
Issue #1: The Charge Base
ROCCAT has this feature where you can place the headset on the base for it to charge wirelessly instead of using a cable. That’s handy…if you can get it to work without wanting to throw your headset at the wall in frustration.
The pins on the charge base are near impossible to line up onto the headset correctly. Majority of the times, you’ll find yourself thinking you have it lined up, only for the headset to turn itself on due to be pushed down onto the button, or slide slightly out of alignment that it will not charge. And with no light/feature to indicate it’s charging, it’s extremely difficult and frustrating to charge this wirelessly.
Most of you will end up charging it via the USB-A to USB-C cable.
Issue #2: Frequent Disconnects.
So, for some reason, this headset is not very friendly about staying connected. Anytime I boot up my PC, or anytime my computer idles and comes back, I have to unplug and replug the charge base in order to hear any sound. Now, this is mildly annoying at best, but the biggest issue I have, is that my sound/headset will randomly disconnect frequently while I’m in the middle of working/gaming. Again, can be solved by unplugging/replugging the headset in. However, in the middle of a gaming session, this is extremely annoying.
Issue #3: Cheap Build Materials
I have owned many different brands of gaming headsets over the years (Astro, Turtle Beach, Arctis, Razer) and this is the only set where it has gotten damaged in less than a year from normal wear/tear and is now unusable.
So, the big issue for me, is that the material around the drivers and holding the band in place, is made of VERY CHEAP plastic. About a month ago, I noticed a hairline crack going through the entire driver side where the microphone boom is, and going through the joint where the driver cup and headband are connected.
Now, I’ve taken very good care of my headsets, and have had some last me 5+ years. Worst I’ve done for this headset, is set it down on my desk gently, as I’ve done with all my headsets. Unfortunately, when I went to put it on today, the plastic finally began to crumble away and expose enough of the joint that was only held by this cheap plastic, that now my left cup is dangling freely.
Definitely a poor build with cheap materials.
Overall, this headset is NOT worth the $250. To be fair, I bought this when it was on sale for $200 and it’s still not worth that. This, for the build and average sound quality, would be $100 at best.
Avoid this headset if you can. The lighting compliments my setup, but that doesn’t make this headset worth it. A shame, unfortunately.

The base wasn’t changing the headset. The mic wasn’t that good on picking up my voice.
Mary –
Very good and comptable head phones , sounds really nice .At a good price.
JimmyC –
It was good on the first week but soon had driver problems that lead to losing connection once in awhile and the charge mount doesn’t really work and had to waste a lot of time for a sweet spot for it to charge. After owning it for 2 months the right headset slider broke making it loose. Never had a headset problems like this one and should look at other brands.
drixom –
pros decent sound and no more mucking around with plugging and unplugging the dongle the charging base is is the receiver. They have integrated bluetooth that works while in game so you can listen to music you choose or take phone calls.
cons
the head band feels cheap.
roccat swarm is just meh and the rgb is a bit boring.
price is a tad high but if you can catch them on sale it’s an amazing bargain.
Ernesto16 –
Solid headset with great sound. It’s compatible with ps5 but the volume wheel didn’t work with it unfortunately.
JoeJ –
One of the hardest headsets to charge or get back in the dock. Just don’t like at all
Trent –
Awesome product, love how it is able to bluetooth to my pc and phone simultaneously. Only downside is after a couple months I have to position the headset a certain way so the docking station charger will work, but still had the option to plug-in to charge.
Alex –
literally the most trash headset I’ve ever used. Disconnects every 3 minutes and has the battery life of a dollar tree flashlight.
Best –
The headset charging base needs to be plugged into the computer to work wirelessly along with the dongle. If it was stand alone with just the dongle like literally every other headset I would give it 5 stars. Sound quality is fantastic. In par with the 2023 black shark from razer. Rgb is gorgeous, blocks out noise. Base is solid.

Awful Headphones. Would not connect or put out audio. Tried recovery software as well as support and nothing would work. Best Buy refused to offer any kind of help beside a refund or exchange. I now need to drive to a UPS store spending money to return this product. Customer support was terrible. I will no longer be a customer and understand why their locations around here are closing.

Bought it two times and both the mic didnt work I had to move it around to make it work and then just stopped working

DavidY –
Great sound. Clear and cancels outside noise. Great buy!!!
ChristopherL –
Its awsome worth the buy. I bought this headset thinking it looked cool but honestly it sounds great.
PennyR –
I am hearing impaired and although quality is wonderful, they are dependent on the volume of item they are synced with for max volume. That doesn’t always work for me.
Schuuuuu –
Its a little confusing at first for the firmware o and etc, after you get it setup it works beautifully, its comfy and fully wireless, comes with a nice dock, got on black friday for 99.99 was a steal seeing it retails 250
Thisisasillyrequirement –
You’ll have to wait until after Christmas to get the real review
Mark –
I had the volume turned up all the way on PS5 as well as the headset and it was still too low. You cannot make adjustments on anything unless you have a PC and swarm app.
KaiC –
I stepped out of my comfort zone to try something new with a company I wasn’t familiar with, and truly was disappointed, the headset itself has mediocre quality, and your standards become lowered when using the Bluetooth feature. when checking out, I was even slightly discouraged to purchase the headset and was reminded of the 90 day return policy, I’m definitely glad that I’m going to be able to return this headset because after 48 hours of purchase, I couldn’t bear to do more than three hours of gaming. The best part about this headset would be the charging dock that comes with it, and the fact that it lights up, but someone who’s never had issues with headsets fitting their head, I could barely turn my head 90° without it falling off let alone, noise, cancellation
AaronR –
The headphones feel and sound great, my only issues are, it likes to randomly disconnect its Bluetooth connection which can be slightly annoying and secondly, for me when the headphones are on, no matter the volume setting or if there’s any noise at all coming out of the headphones, there’s this very very slight ringing. It’s only really noticeable when there’s no noise coming through the headphones and you’re wearing them with them on. Other than that tho they’re great. Super comfy and sound quality is nice
Doomquake777 –
I got these on sale for $99 they are normally $250 at the time of writing. I can’t understand how they would retail for that high of a price. The build of the base is extremely cheap and the headset is very difficult to lock in for charging. Plus audio quality is rather poor, with a lot of static and distorted audio.
Bestbuy –
Baught as a gift to my son for Gaming. He loves it. Crystal clear sound and great voice control. No issues receiving or sending sound.
LukeV –
The Roccat Syn Air Max Headphones are actually quite an amazing product. With a sale on it from $250 down to $99 its MORE than worth it. Sound from these headphones are really quite amazing and paired with the Swarm software easy to operate and the headset itself comes with really nice and unseen options such as Superhuman hearing and Wave3D options are fantastic for gaming. Initial setup and use were an easy enough experience.. but be warned the charging dock can be quite troublesome to get going. Make sure to pay DETAILED attention to the setup and install of the docking station and CHARGING with cables being used exactly as directed. The USB C to C cable needs to be plugged into the right ends or will not charge properly or at all (never seen that with any other C-C cable ever). With all that being said the products the offer in the high end field of keyboards and mice are really, and i mean REALLY impressive. Amazing look, feel, software options (Swarm) and mainly performance. This company isn’t as well known as Logitech, Corsair and so on, but i hope they keep at it and continue to improve and improvise. My next ecosystem will be Roccat, i think its worth it for people to try.
MasonY –
it constantly makes me sound robotic and i have to restart my pc, or it just turns off as soon as i turn it on.
DakotaH –
Quality headset, feels comfortable, works excellent, mic quality is extremely good as well for PC. Easy to connect to your PC as well.
Michelle –
GREAT quality with both the sound and hardware. I will be returning these though, as they were bought as a gift and the receiver was not completely satisfied with the specs. He was going to use them for PS5, but the bluetooth connectivity was not as smooth as expected, and you are not able to adjust the volume directly from the headset. I am giving 4 stars because I do believe this headset would be very nice for PC gaming. Sad to see they did not live up to full expectation with PS5 connectivity.
JackR –
That soild headphones for the price. They feel a little clunky but not bad
ChrisL –
For whatever the amount of money you end up spending on these, it is worth it. It has excellent sound quality, excellent passive sound suppresion, and a good quality microphone.
MichaelM –
It’s only been a few days since I got it for Xmas , so far best gaming headset I ever had and the price is unbeatable.
Lando –
If I could give these 0 stars I would. Right out of the box these were absolute garbage. The stand is cheap, the headset feels cheap. It is uncomfortable on my ears. And the beeping, oh my god the beeping. Even when not low on battery they would not stop beeping.
I could not not even get these to pair correctly, in my hour of trying they connected to my computer maybe once. They would not update they would just sit at 0% and say recover. When I hit recover it would say to reconnect the headset. I did, many many many times.
These are the absolute worst pieces of garbage I have ever used in my life. Save your money, do not buy these.
0 out of 5

Just bought it and brand new. Friends on the other side having a hard time hearing me and volume isnt woking from the headset. Sucks
LonsterMonster –
I was using the momentum 4 as a daily headset and these have close to the quality of sound for the multiuse that i use them for Gaming and regular pc use and just had to get the audio calibrated through software how i like and the are excellent and even the bluetooth audio works at the same time as the wireless dock audio which i find hard to find even 250- 300 dollar headphones have trouble with only thing is it doesnt have anc and has about same if not better quality on build than the momentum 4
EngraciaA –
They work really nice. My grandson loves them. I love shopping at best buy.
Sirdivo –

Adrian –
Sound and construction quality are excellent and the charging dock is very convenient
PedroD –
Got this headset for my nephew and it built by the same people who make turtle beach the headset light and sounds are loud my nephew wasn’t expecting for this headset to be that good!! And it comes with a rgb dock and the rgb on the actual ear cups nice touch for kids who love light
user660502 –
My sons love them. They work well for the games they play
MatthewC –
I’m sure with all the customization options in the software you could get these to sound really good. But for the non-audiophiles, these are pretty average and that’s just because they dropped the price.
The charging stand is really finicky. It would never connect the first time.
The headphones are super bulky and didn’t have enough clamping force so they would move around on my head.
Very limited adjustability.
RGB settings would not be saved after turning the headphones off. So if you wanted to turn off RGB, every time you took them off the stand you would have to go into the software to change it. And while on the stand, the RGB would be on no matter what as long as your PC was on.
Sound was decent, but as a non audiophile, I couldn’t tell the difference between these and a better fitting cheap Logitech headset.
It feels like these should start at $100 instead of $250.
NicholasM –
Pros: excellent sound quality. Not audiophile quality, maybe, but definitely gamer quality. I also love having the option to change the RGB lighting if I want to.
Cons: charging on the base requires precise placement, or it won’t charge. Found that out the hard way. Also, the battery doesn’t last as long as advertised. The packaging boasted a 16hr battery, but mine only lasts 8-10hrs with low volumes. The RGB might have something to do with that, but I’m not sure.
Overall, I’m satisfied with the purchase and look forward to continued use. Can’t wait to try other products from this line.

Wouldn’t connect with alienware software installed. Tried to contact support, never answered my EM (more than once). This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Stay away. BestBuy did take these back and I purchased something that works. Purchase ANY other brand and save your self a headache. Wish I could give it zero stars.
ElizabethT –
these work great for gaming! would highly recommend
Mike –
Great headphones exactly what we were looking for!
Pacifistay –
Stand wouldn’t charge out of the box. I wouldn’t recommend. Sound quality seemed ok in the short time I used it. Unfortunately I had to return it. Not sure I would trust a replacement long term
RealNoNikName –
The right earcuff keeps coming off. You can see two tiny screws that hold it but these are constantly coming off and i have to constantly screw them in.
BlakeM –
Its okay sound quality is kinda okay, always had a hard time getting to charge on the stand and snapped one of the pins in the 2nd week of owning will be returning for a different brand.
