Only had for a few days, but much better than my previous Garmin. The Garmin was not resistant to heat and stopped working after a year. Hoping this one powered by a supercapacitor will work better. So far, only criticism is the rear video is pretty grainy.

The Rexing-V1P Pro Plus dash cam is great. The color screen is easy to read and is a valuable tool for capturing your drive time in any weather situation. Having a rear camera is important because you can’t always keep track of what’s going on behind your vehicle. I highly recommend this dual camera unit.

When I ordered a dash cam and set up an installation appointment through bestbuy.com I wish it would have let me know that an installation kit was necessary as the equipment was not in the dashcam box. At the installation appointment I found this out, ordered the kit and set another installation date. Received an email the day before that the appointment may be rescheduled and call the local Best Buy to confirm but was still scheduled. Asked if this kit was in stock, was told it wasn’t and couldn’t verify when it would be available again. Ended up returning the dash cam/cancelling geek squad warranty/getting a refund for the installation never occurring.

This is our second Rexing dash cam. We had our first one hardwired and wanted to do the same with this one. Unfortunately, Rexing stopped making the hard wire kits with the 90 degree plug in. For now, this one is getting power from the cigarette lighter so not getting full benefits yet. The camera itself has a great panoramic picture and no complaints regarding the software. I would recommend if you are in the market for a dash cam and highly suggest to hardwire it to get the full benefits of the camera.

works great, records onto a Micro SD memory card for both still pics and video has a time stamp and you can put your plate number as well so they know who took the video, newer versions have the ability to connect to your phone as well

I’ve had this for a while and never needed to see anything until now. Although this works well, it doesn’t seem to record license plates very good. Seems like fast movement and night time are problems for the camera. I try to get the footage of a reckless driver and it’s just a blur. You have to be following them really close to see a plate or be at a stop with no movement. Like I said I never needed to see anything before now, but I did go through and watch all the video that was recorded on the flash card. Its perfect when everything is sitting still or even moving along really slow like in traffic. But once you get going, it’s another story. Disappointing even when the video is at 2160p. This is my only dash cam that I have, but I will look around to see if there is something better that will actually work when you need it.

So far I love this camera, it’s easy to set up, and you can use a larger SD card. The true test will be the summer heat in my vehicle. It’s a little expensive but sometimes you have to pay for quality.

I bought the Rexing V1P Pro to have the piece of mind while operating our vehicle on the streets of San Diego County. Crazy drivers who don’t follow common sense rules drive me nuts so they, the crazy drivers have pushed me to have the video proof captured by the front and rear cameras. Installation was easy after watch a few youtube’s.
I bought a 128GB memory card but now I think that unless you’re driving long distances, the 32GB card provided would be enough because it just over rights the images.
I installed the hardwire kit provided and now the installation is 100% clean and complete and camera is 100% operable while driving or in parking mode.

I was pretty impressed with this.
I had it installed for several months, just prior to the accident.
The camera worked great just prior and during the actual impact, and then died very shortly afterwards. It caught what was needed on video. SD card was a mess afterwards, trying to recover the data…
It did exactly what it is intended to do.
Sadly it does not work anymore, after the accident.
But I do plan on buying another one here shortly!

I think if there was a “con” the wifi feature never worked for me. I spent weeks trying to get it to work, and finally gave up trying. I was really hoping that feature would work 🙁
Easy to install.
Menu was easy to see and navigate.
GPS, you have to buy an external GPS for that to work. I never did buy it. So I can not comment on that feature. But heads up, you have to buy the GPS unit and it attaches to this.
SD card was kind of a pain to get in and out of the dash camera most of the time.
It does hold bigger capacity sd cards. I used a 64GB.
The most IMPORTANT thing to remember is get the FASTEST read/write speed sd card you can find.
Trust me when I tell you this.
If you do not, you will be highly disappointed.
If you do, you will be highly pleased!
Get the fastest read/write sd card you can find!
I liked how the date and time would sync to the GPS.
Forgot to explain:
GPS works for syncing the date and time.
You have to buy an external GPS unit, for it to track your vehicle movement.
Front camera was pretty good. Not the best, not the worst. It got the job done. The quality at night was better than most, but not the best.
I recorded with both front and back all the time.
Doing so, it won’t let you record in the highest quality setting.
So my review is based on the lower settings, based on me wanting to record both front and back cameras at the same time.
Rear camera was alright in quality.
It records decently, but poor at night.
But you can definitely make out details on objects and vehicles during the daytime. Daytime you can make out plates. Night time, you more than likely will not.
It had a nice long wire to install with. So I am pretty confident if you are worried about it not being too long, rest assured this wire will fit alot of vehicles.
Few tips on the install.
It is easy to install yourself.
Make sure you clean the surface extremely well just prior to the install. And make sure you clean the lens of the cameras, prior to the install.
You can hide the wiring under the flooring or behind the roofing and boards.
Just be careful to not install it near any airbags!
Best to directly connect it to your battery.
Make sure your vehicle is turned off and battery is disconnected when you are doing the install.
Make sure you get a very FAST write/read sd card to use in this. You will thank me later…
Camera placement: The best place is smack dab in the middle of the windshield and back windows. Make sure it is centered. The front dash camera I had just under my mirror. It looked great there and worked perfectly!
Rear camera, place in the middle top area of you back window. The higher placement will see “over” your trunk area, and see much more of what needs to be recorded.
I would definitely recommend this camera.
I am going to be buying another one shortly.

Returning immediately. Worst product I’ve gotten in a while. Couldn’t use the camera right of the box because of a “Memory error”. Tried reformatting the card several times but that didn’t work. Go to Rexing website and watch the video how to update the firmware. It’s ridiculous…what’s the point of built in Wi-Fi if I can’t update the firmware that way??! Absolutely astonishingly poor product. I can’t even use this thing! DO NOT BUY!!!

I’m satisfied overall just wish the rear camera cable was 1 ft longer as I had to mount the rear camera off center in my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Cable was run under the carpet.

The video quality is pretty good. The colors look really good but very slightly pixelated out in certain contrast and exposure scenarios. However, quality is more than acceptable for a camera in this class.
The sound is good and clear enough. Not as clear as a phone, Go Pro or the audio on a typical consumer grade camcorder, but at least it’s totally understandable
A great feature is the the ability to connect the dash cam to your phone. It uses the phone Wi-Fi like a Bluetooth connection.
The cord is long enough for larger vehicles. Easy set-up once you determined placement of the dash cam
I do have to admit the dash cam is a bit on the bulky side. I positioned it behind my review mirror as possible to prevent it from obstructing my view. Before driving, I verified that it’s on because placing the dash cam behind my mirror does not allow me to see the screen while driving.

I bought 2 of these dash cameras for my cars, and after over a year of use, I totally regret this purchase. Initially they seemed to be fine, but as the time was passing by, they started to constantly go on and off randomly, with some days not even working at all, going through endless loops of restart cycles every few minutes, to the point that I have no other choice but unplug the camera altogether (and obviously, basically not having the dash camera function at all). As I mentioned, I got 2 of these for my cars, and the same issues happened in both cars, so it is hard to blame the issue to a single car itself. I do not recommend this item.

This was extremely easy to set up. You stick one camera to each window, plug the cords in and tuck them, plug into your cigarette lighter and you’re done. Put the micro SD/adapter in it and it will auto format.
Three days after I installed this I had two near incidents. I nearly instinctively pressed the button to keep the current 3 min clip instead of being overwritten. The quality is absolutely PHENOMENAL! I do not have it at the highest setting so I could not read license plates but I will play with those settings. Otherwise, crystal clear during the day/sunny and also night recording is excellent as well.
When I got home, I pulled the SD card and put it into my computer. All the files are saved in (I chose 3 mins over 1 min) increments. The files I hit the button on saved in those 3 min clips in a protected folder. I was able to upload my videos to iMovie and create a video in 5 minutes to upload to YouTube.
I am telling my whole family and my friends about this dash cam!

My husband and I were fortunate enough to be able to get new vehicles at the start of the year. With the area I live in, dash cams are almost a must, and I knew I wanted to protect us incase something happened. I purchased a dash cam by the same brand earlier this year as a test run. The last brand of dash cams we had were held on by a suction cup, and they would constantly fall. I wanted to make sure whatever we purchased this time would stick, and stick it does! My dash cam has been installed for over 7 months, and it hasn’t fallen once. I was so impressed, I bought my husband this dash cam to put into his truck. Installation was a breeze, and setting up the dash cam itself was super simple. The instructions are very clear on how to get everything set up. I loved how it came with an SD card! The picture quality is crystal clear, and the app is user friendly. Overall, great purchase of a great dash cam!

I was involved involved in an auto accident on Sept. 17th and it was all caught thanks to this cam. The drunk driver hit me near head on and the cam managed to stay put. Although, the entire windshield shattered into millions of little pieces.
It did its job better than i expected. The video locked as it stated it would be. The time, date and spees stamp are invaluable.
It may not be the newest or fanciest, however its well worth considering.

I bought this after reviewing in depth every day can in my price range. It was a Rexing made for Best Buy model. I love it! Honestly, because this Best Buy version has more features than what the standard model has, I was not aware this one had the parking monitor until I happened upon it while learning the menu functions. It would have been great to have the manual for the Bestbuy version so everything would make sense, but with use, you figure it out.
