We upgraded to this camera from an all-in-one camera with front/rear in a single unit. We really like the better rear-coverage camera.
The display screen is good. The cameras are so much better than our previous camera that we did not notice for weeks that we had not removed the plastic protection film. The images are even better now.
Considering purchasing one for our 20-something daughter now. She was involved in a hit-and-run a few months ago — and footage would have helped identify the car/driver who hit her.

I’ve been wanting a dash cam since I got into a small fender bender and because I wanted to police myself on the roads. It took me months to finally choose one because they’re are so many options and they all practically have the same camera lens. After going into Best Buy and working with someone and comparing so many side by side with their specs, I landed on the Rexing V1P Max. I just got it installed a few weeks ago and still learning the ropes to it, but I like it having protection front and back of my Jeep. I also opted to get the extra part for parking mode too. I had to order it prior to my install appointment because they did not have it in stock. also suggest getting the bigger memory card for more space. Some reviews mentioned the screen is too small and hard to see, but you’re not meant to watch it from the screen. There’s an app to download. Being in a no fault state, I’ve been telling everyone about it.

So far, so good! Had in installed for about a month in my Explorer. Installation was not too difficult. Some of the wires to connect the rear still hang out and the clips to hold the cable did not work for me. The tool the slip wires between interior was good and the 3M adhesion works great! The screen feels a bit tiny since they put PIP for front view and rear view in one. Overall, it records while driving and hope I never have to use the video for accidents. Be safe out there!

I looked at all the reviews before I purchased this product. It had good reviews so I purchased it, but it is very complicated when it comes to the software. I am still trying to figure out how to use it. I do not care for the menu items on the screen. I wished it had blue tooth.

Purchases this because of mostly good reviews. Set it all up and it worked fine at first. Then one morning, it says to insert SD card. I am like what. Then i see there isnt an SD card in it. Come to find out, the dash cam had launched it on the floor of my car. Try to put it back in and it wont even click into place. So dash cam is useless. I cant think of a time ive had ANY device that just wouldnt hold the SD card into place. So that shows lack of quality control. Never dropped it or anything. Returned. Take your chance i guess

For two years this was a pretty good dash cam. Not the best app interface with my phone, but manageable. Now it’s dead.

I realized in early June that there was no image on the camera when I started my car so I tried to troubleshoot the problem. I contacted support who sent me 2 firmware updates to try but nothing worked. They told me that they would send my information to the verification department for a replacement. When I didn’t hear anything from them, I contacted the customer support representative that I had worked with to check the status of my replacement. He answered right away and told me that my dash cam was out of warranty and could not be replaced. They did send a voucher for $92 to be used on their website to buy another one. My dash cam only lasted 23 months and then turned into a paperweight. The kicker is that I had paid almost $300 for the original dash cam and then paid for installation too. So that I could still use the wiring that is already installed , I did go ahead and order another one from Rexing. That way I will only have to replace the front camera and not have to deal with new wiring. It’s a good camera when it works but it sure didn’t last very long. Buyer beware.

The 4k quality doesnt mean much with such a low frame rate of capture. It records at <30 FPS so when your moving things aren't as clear as they could be. However at night it had awesome quality. You can download over wifi the recordings but 4K takes about 10 minutes per 30 second recording. Buy a SD card reader.

The description claims it has high temperature resistance. Don’t believe this lie. I live in Florida, and I have to take the front camera off and hold it in front of my blasting a/c for about 5 minutes to cool it off before it will turn on, every single time I get in the car. It also falls off the windshield clip any time I make a left turn. The loop recording doesn’t seem to work correctly either, and all I can view when connecting to my phone is old videos from a year ago. Nothing from recent drives. I’m so mad I spent this much money on a garbage dash cam.

Honestly i expected more given the reviews. Unexpectedly after 2 months of usage (just after the return period expires) it no longer turns on. Ive checked all wiring and connections. It was professionally installed by bestbuy so I doubt its a problem from installation they do this all the time. But the dash cam no longer turns on. Every now and then it flickers but thats it. It had amazing video quality and the app was very easy to use and straight forward. The camera quality was definitely up to par but the rear camera was mediocre at best during the nught time. Headlights would basically render the rear dash cam useless as they would blind the picture eassily. Other than that its a great dash cam for the money and just hope it doesn’t die in 2 months.

Good camera. Picture quality is excellent, day or night. Installation with the hardwire kit is simple enough, The operating instructions aren’t completely intuitive, however. But their customer support was excellent when I called. I bought the intelligent hardwire kit; not completely sure it’s worth it. The cable they supply to connect the motion sensor to the camera is too short and will not reach, so you’ll need to buy one separately.

Purchased the Rexing V1P Max Plus dash camera for my daughter for Christmas. I also purchased the hard-wire kit for a tidier installation. Installation was fairly straightforward, however I did watch a number of videos on YouTube to get some pointers on installation for my specific car and to better understand how to use the fuse taps correctly. The video quality is very good and the functionality is exactly as advertised. It’s still early to comment on how the dash cameras (both front and rear) perform in the long run, but so far we are pleased.
