I have used this filter since my purchase made 2022 July and have been changing it regularly. However, this time even after following all steps and draining more than 10 gallons water tastes awful! I even got sick and since then have stopped drinking it and use water bottles now. Even now it tastes like some metal and bitter.

Easy to install. If you are getting water a lot frequently and are getting ice frequently the filter will need to be replaced before the six month date. For such a small filter, the price is a bit steep. Will buy a few more to have on hand to avoid them being out of stock.

filter works great however, it doesn’t last the entire 6 month shelf life of what it claims. I get the warning signal to replace after about 4 months and I had to replace it at about 5 months. I think it’s kinda BS that these filters are so expensive and GE rigged these so that you can’t use the cheaper versions of them bc they add an RFID sticker to it to force you to use features that are useless. But since there’s nothing we can do about it, and we’re forced to buy OEM filters, it’s really getting a 4 star review out of lack of competitive options.

These are a hit and miss. Sometimes they work sometimes they dont. Ive bought at least 6 of these already. Water pours great until it hits around 90% life. Very frustrating.

I mean it’s what are refrigerator calls for. As far as Best buy in Lenexa, Kansas…..they suck. The only reason we ordered this was to use a gift card we had to get rid of. We won’t be spending another dime at Best buy. We went in the Lenexa store and the sales staff along with the manager was useless and totally unhelpful. They were out of everything!! Lost our business.

The model of this fridge filter changed the end of it so it didn’t look like the previous one. It was also harder to snap in. The first one we ordered didn’t fit at all, but the second one we ordered did fit.

The filter arrived in about 6 days. It was wrapped and boxed really well. It was easy to install, and the filter works does a nice job. The filtered water has a very neutral taste with no smell. In our area, there is often a strong smell of chlorine. We really needed a good filter.
