The best thing this controller has going for it is how well built it feels. It is just a great design. I have fairly large hands, and while the PS5 controller isn’t bad by any means, this just feels better and more comfortable in my hands. However, keep in mind Razer has followed the “xbox” / “nintendo pro” controller style of analog stick layout, where those sticks are not in the middle like they have been on PlayStation consoles for many years now. I game on multiple systems and it is second nature, but it could throw some users off a bit.
Another thing that is great with this controller is how much better the battery life is in comparison to the PS5 DualSense controller that comes with the PS5, or especially the newer PS5 DualSense Edge controllers which have even less gaming time per charge. I seem to be getting over 20 hours per charge if I do not use the RGB controller lighting. If you use the lighting you will cut your battery down to closer to the stock PS5 DualSense of around 8-10 hours.
This controller requires the included USB dongle to work on either the PS5 or the PC side, with a switch.
My biggest gripe of all with this controller is that it just is not worth the asking price. It just isn’t priced well enough considering the DualSense Edge, also a very expensive pro controller, has rumble, haptic feedback on the triggers, back buttons, and the dualsense edge also has user replaceable stick modules. The Razer Wolverine V2 Pro only comes with swappable thumbstick caps for the sticks (the smaller rubber caps on top of the sticks). This is nice, but not as nice as being able to replace the entire stick modules. I would prefer to be able to keep a controller of this value around for as long as I can.
Otherwise, while this is a really nice controller, it falls just short of being a recommendation considering how much more expensive it is than other pro controllers.

The Wolverine V2 Pro is a well built and feature rich controller that’s a perfect fit in my and a joy to use!
Design
I love the look and design of the Wolverine V2 Pro! It feels very solid and fits my hand very well While it doesn’t feel light in any way, using it doesn’t make my hands or arms tired. The rounded lower portions fit in my palms very comfortably. Those lower portions and the sides have a texture that provides a good, reassuring, grip without feeling soft or like it will wear out. Even with the extra triggers, I’ll talk about them later, you can set the Wolverine on a flat surface and none of the triggers or buttons touch the surface. I think this is helpful to extend the life of the trigger mechanisms and good design. There are lights along the side, following the contour of the controller, and a light along the bottom of the touchpad. Besides standard buttons there are six customizable button on the end, with L1, L2 and R1, R2, and under the controller. There are also two additional analog stick tops. The two concave ones that come on it pull off easily and can be replaced with the two others, one is concave and adds extra height for more precision. The other is convex and low for fast movement. There are two switches on the bottom of the controller PC or PS5 mode and Wired or Wireless mode.
Features
I’m just going to list a lot of the features here though I may talk about them in other parts of this review.
– Map keys to extra buttons
– Change lighting colors
– 6 Re-mapable buttons
– long/tall concave analog stick
– short convex analog stick
I will mention that these alternate analog sticks are very well implemented. They fit in perfectly and there’s a magnet to help. The fit is very firm so I didn’t notice any extra movement because of them being switchable.
– Mechanical switches
The feel is great! You can totally feel and hear them but when playing a game I don’t even notice them. They’re very well calibrated so the feel is just enough but not too much, same for the sound. Even the d-pad uses the mechanical switches! It’s got an incredible feel to it!
– Short actuation distance for the switches so presses register faster than most if not all other controller
– Razer Hyper-Triggers
This is awesome! it allows you to switch between a normal trigger with pressure sensitive response and an on/off mechanical switch like the other buttons on the controller, giving you much shorter actuation than the full travel of a normal trigger if you don’t need it to be pressure sensitive. Even better, this is enabled/disabled interdependently with a switch for each side, left and right.
– 1/8″, 3.5 mm headphone jack (only works with USB dongle, wireless mode, not wired, and for the PS5, not for the PC)
Controller App
You will want to install the Razer “Controller” App to changing lighting and key mapping options. It gives you four profiles. Each profile has a color and when you select it that color flashes just below the touchpad so you can see which mode is selected. The default profiles are Shooter, Fighting, Sports, and Racing. Those can all be renamed. You can configure different lighting colors and key mappings for each profile. For lighting colors, there’s a color wheel, a slider, and even the option to put in the hex code of an exact color. The lights will be sort of close to what you pick on screen but don’t expect to get lots of shades or tints reproduced accurately – it’s still cool though. You can map square, triangle, circle, X, d-pad up, down, left, right, and L/R1, L/R2, L/R3, the Create button, and multi-function button to any one of the six M1-M6 (Middle as opposed to Left or Right). The extra buttons have a good feel to them. They’re easy for me to find with my fingers. The app also shows you the battery life remaining of the controller with a five bar indicator
Compatibility
Besides doing PC gaming this the Wolverine V2 Pro, I also tested it on a Chromebook and PS3. It worked like a champ on both! I used it for some retro gaming as well as newer sports games and 3D open world games. I really love the feel of the buttons, the mechanical switches really, and the fit of the controller in my hand.
Battery Life
The battery life is excellent!!! I wish I knew how many hours I used it. At first I used it on wired mode to charge it but it’s been wireless since then and still showing 5 bars. I do have lighting on “Breath” so the lights are not on all the time, which would help, but still, I’m amazed at the battery life.
Summary
I want to point out some things you may want to know. This controller has no rumble feedback (because it doesn’t typically improve how well you do according to their FAQ). You cannot use it as a controller over Bluetooth, it requires a USB Type A port. I found it to be responsive and consistent in it’s functions. The 3.5mm stereo jack (headphone jack) only works in PS5 mode and Wireless mode. Overall, I really loved this controller! None of the “negatives” I mentioned in this summary were a problem for me and I am very impressed by the design, quality and features of the Wolverine V2 Pro!

I was pretty excited to give this a try. I do a lot of gaming on my PC, PS5, and Switch (this doesn’t work with the switch). Out of the box you basically just get the controller, 2 extra sticks, and a USBC cable. As others have said, it would be nice to have some kind of case to keep the controller, extra sticks, and cable in. But that’s a minor gripe.
The feel of this controller is amazing. I have fairly large hands and while I game with regular controllers just fine, this one just seems to fit better in my hands. It’s a bit wider than your standard controller. I wish the grips were a tad bit longer, but again, minor gripe.
I have never used a controller with the “clicky” buttons before and I absolutely love it. The feel and response time is better than anything I have ever felt before. Not to mention I love the satisfying click with every press!
The controller has many extra buttons that can be remapped so the controller can fit your playing style. For example if you wanted to remap the L1 and R1 triggers to the back paddles you could easily do it. I’m an old school gamer and prefer the regular layout though. Speaking of that. This isn’t laid out like a standard PS5 controller with the sticks in the middle. The controller doesn’t have haptic feedback or rumble either. With those 3 things missing I think this is more suitable as a PC controller, even though it works perfectly fine with a PS5. I guess I’m just used to having certain things when I play each different system and I would miss those features using this on my PS5. So this will absolutely be my new PC gaming controller.
The controller also had programmable lights which look cool, but will also eat up your battery. I guess it’s up to personal preference if you want or use those or not. Overall, I get great battery life out of it! Definitely more than you get with a regular PS5 controller.
Overall, it’s a pricy, but amazing feeling controller. If you are a gamer with bigger hands, absolutely give this a try. I’m sure you will love it!

Totally recommend this controller for ps5 and pc its an amazing option considering everything out there

The Razer Wolverine v2 Pro falls short due to the lack of features like rumble support and questionable ergonomics decisions like button placement. There are some positive features like tactile action buttons and an 8-way microswitch action pad which by the way is excellent for fighting games, and adjustable trigger buttons for shorter distance travel. Unless you highly prefer the Xbox joystick layout you’re better off with Sony’s official offering.
Ergonomics for the most part is fine. It is a comfortable controller to play on for hours. I do like the feel and sound of the action buttons. The joysticks are great to play on and you do get 2 additional thumb sticks in the box. The only issues I had were the additional top buttons. For example during an online gaming session of Call of Duty it was hard for me to keep the aim on. I was constantly pressing the smaller button next to it. There are some additional buttons in the rear too that are also not well placed. It’s nice having additional programmable buttons but their placement is not optimal.
There is a Razer app that allows you to control the RGB lighting and the 6 additional programmable buttons. You can also adjust the sensitivity clutch for the joysticks. I highly suggest you do a firmware update via a computer. I did experience some issues with connectivity, controls moving all over the place without input, and having to power off and on the controller for the PS5 to properly recognize it. There is no direct connection to the PS5 so you must use the included dongle. This also means you won’t be able to power on the PS5. I would blame this more on Sony for locking it down to first party controllers only.
For the most part the Razer Wolverine Pro it’s not a bad controller, it just needed some additional time for polishing. If you’re a huge fan of the Xbox controller layout most certainly you will like this one. But for me what keeps this from being my daily driver is the additional bumper buttons that are too close to the top buttons that end up getting in the way. The concept was good, it just wasn’t executed right. Maybe V3 can address these issues.

Razer has quickly become one of the most recognizable brands in the computer gaming sector. When I think of their products now, they’re more modern than the years past, when they popularized obnoxious RGB lights on their products. Sure, that image is basically a meme now with gaming set-ups, but most serious gamers are doing away with the array of lights in exchange for quality parts that last longer than 10 months.
The Wolverine V2 Pro Wireless Gaming controller feels hefty in quality and so far makes me confident it’ll last a while. Throughout the years, I’ve been a controller enthusiast with consoles, and have gotten the Xbox Elite (both version 1 & 2) controllers, along with the Playstation 5’s Scuff Reflex Pro. Once you experience controllers like that, you won’t want to go back to others. For me it’s mainly about the weight and the comfort of them in hand. The Wolverine V2 lives up to that hype, but I still can’t get over the price.
The V2 Pro retails at $250. That’s half the amount you’d need to purchase a PS5! Comparing that with the Xbox Elite V2 ($180) and the Scuff Pro ($199), you’d need a big reason to purchase this one over some of the other options. Also, if you enjoy the rumble of the Dual Sense or the Xbox Elite V2 for your computer gaming, you’ll be sad to hear there is no rumble option on the Wolverine V2. There is however, RGB lights that can be configured in an accompanied app. Now, I don’t personally care about the lights. Is it a nice touch? Sure, but is it worth the additional money? I don’t think so.
If I had it my way, I’d use the Xbox Elite controller for all my gaming needs, but for the PS5? I don’t think you can sacrifice the rumble. That is after all, one of the biggest features of the PS5. Keep in mind however, the Scuff Pro doesn’t rumble either.
There is one aspect of the Wolverine V2 that is worth mentioning in bold letters. The battery life is great. Unlike the standard PS5 controllers, these will hold a charge for more than several days. I’ve had some very bad luck with the standard PS5 controllers having some pretty bad longevity when gaming for a few hours.
Getting back to the accompanying app – it’s a bare bones app, but you can remap buttons and change a few options with the RGB lights. That’s about it. I’m not sure what you’d want more from the app, but I really wish the rumble was an option you’d be able to turn off or no. That way “serious” gamers or those of us who want extended battery life can choose to turn it off.

The Razor Wolverine V2 PRO ps5 controller is probably one of the best controllers to use for pc and ps5 gaming. It’s similar to its older brother the chroma for xbox. They are almost the same, they have similar layouts with the analog sticks being that of the xbox layout rather than the playstation’s analog stick layout. Also the PRO is wireless which means that you don’t have to worry about a wire while playing. The PRO has two different triggers that you can switch between on the fly with the slider on the back the two triggers being the regular analog triggers and the mouse triggers which greatly reduces the travel time to almost nothing. Also there are swappable analog stick heads which are easily swappable and connected by magnets. The controller has 6 extra buttons 2 next to the triggers and 4 on the back which is great for mapping out actions in games and creating a really great customizable experience for gaming. The rgb is great but I prefer to keep it off just to save on battery. But the only way to map out the buttons and turn off the rgb is by using the razor controller app on your phone connecting your controller by putting it on wireless mode and following the steps on the app to pair your controller. The layout of the 6 mappable buttons are a little awkward to wrap your hand around but with time you will get comfortable with them. There is a missing function in the pro that the regular ps5 has that being the haptic feedback triggers, and vibrations which for me aren’t a deal breaker. The d-pad on the controller is really clicky and responsive and it being a 8-way d-pad it’s easy to move diagonally in 2D games. Now in game use on the controller is responsive whether wired or wireless and great for any game that you would want to play. FPS shooters are best suited for this controller since there is a long analog stick option which is great for precision shots in games. Also fighting games are great for the controller since the mappable buttons are easy to reach and help you create layouts that help you do insane combos easier. The pc functionality with the controller is a nice bonus since you can play games on your computer wired or wireless. The controller is bulky as a side effect of having an actual battery rather than being wired, but for me I like the heavier feel of the controller. The controller has an incredible battery that in normal use you will never need to worry about with it being about 10 hours of battery with the rgb on and 28 hours with the rgb off. The build quality is superb and feels great in the hands. There are some negatives to this controller that really don’t make sense is the lack of a case to store the extra accesories, which can be easily lost . Also having to download an app on your phone is annoying and makes this officially licensed controller feel unofficial. The Wolverine V2 PRO is a great ps5 and pc controller that I would recommend to everyone who wants a “PRO” controller for their ps5 and especially a wireless controller.

Okay not what i expected and to expensive for the performence
DarR –
First of all, I love the connectivity of this controller. Easy to switch from PS5 to PC and the wireless to wired option are all just clicks away and easy to understand without even looking at the manual. I have never tried the wired function, only because the wireless function is so easy—I just popped the USB dongle in, and I was ready to go—both PC and PS5 recognized them easily. I did not find any lag with the wireless function so that’s a super plus.
Setting up customizations was easy too, because the android app was very helpful and easy to use. If there was one thing that this controller does so well, is the queues in the controller itself, like the profile colors showing depending on what profile you choose, the click sound on the buttons, and the textures on the button surface, especially the added top and back buttons to avoid unnecessary clicks. Though the actual case of the controller feels like inexpensive plastic, the construction of the whole controller feels pretty solid. The bulk does need some getting used to especially on the thumb part of my palms. I don’t have big hands and the controller still feels good even though it’s a little on the thicker side—there’s just some adjustments that my hands needed to do because it first felt like my grip was cramping. After a good run of some CupHeads bosses as a warm up, my hands felt at home. Surprisingly, a controller with this much features do not differ in weight so much.
The extra buttons are pretty easy to reach, although I was hoping to get some combination customizations like LR + triangle for the fighting games or a one press button for my Need for Speed drifting. The app did not provide this flexibility. However, I love the way I can easily switch the trigger (R2) feel because in GTA 5, I switch a lot from driving to shooting and I cannot have a deep slack when shooting.
Battery life is fantastic—I have been on it for maybe 15 hours, and I still have half (per the mobile app) juice on this.
I love the idea that I do not have to switch controllers when I play on my PC and when I play on the PS5. I use this for both. Hopefully, in an update we can get combos with the button customization? Who knows. Right now, this is a great controller, and I recommend.

I’ve been playing around with my Razer Wolverine V2 Pro Wireless controller for about a week now. It’s a pretty solid controller option with some improvements over the standard PS5 controller. Is it worth the price though, that is the real question in my mind.
Upon opening the box I appreciated the nice presentation. The controller feels very solid. The knobs are magnetic and can be easily swapped between two styles. The layout (just the different feel, keeping the default mapping) will take some getting used to if your brain, like mine, was only trained on the standard controller. Took some time to start to feel natural to me, but I got there after several hours of playing. If possible I think I would really recommend you getting this thing in your hands before buying it. The extra buttons give you a lot of flexibility and have a noticeably different feel. I really like the ones on the back and with the app you can remap which buttons do what. I suspect some are used to the original and are just fine with where the buttons are. To me, this is really the only reason to purchase this device. So if you really like this idea of extra buttons and being able to remap each button to do what you want, this device if for you.
All in all I found this controller to be good, but a little pricey. I will say the battery life seems excellent. I also have large hands and prefer the slightly larger overall size. I don’t really use a controller much on my PC as I tend to use games where I prefer a mouse, but it is nice to have the option when desired. The RGB lighting is a cool customizable effect. The real question I suppose is will I recommend this controller to a friend? I’d give it a conditional yes. If you really like the buttons on the back (I do) and are fine with the price (Pricey IMO) then yes, I think you will be a satisfied customer.

The Razer Wolverine V2 is a somewhat quirky controller.
I primarily intended on using this controller with my Steam Deck dock, but I wanted something that could easily be plugged into my Windows gaming laptop as well. Bluetooth controllers are fussy about switching devices, so I thought something with a physical dongle would be ideal.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t completely the case.
My Steam Deck recognized the controller right away, worked beautifully for one night, and then stopped working thereafter. Multiple reboots failed to resolve the issue. The Deck was registering the controller as a “Generic XBox Controller,” but it wouldn’t accept any inputs. I switched to using it with my Windows laptop at this point, and I had somewhat better luck.
The controller was recognized, and worked well, but I couldn’t figure out how to program the back buttons or extra shoulder buttons in Steam. I suspect that this is more of an issue with Steam than the controller though.
On a lark, I tried plugging the dongle into my Steam Deck again after using it for a few days with my laptop, and it was immediately recognized as a Razer Wolverine V2 (and all of my inputs started working again). I’m not sure how long it will continue working this time, but I’m optimistic that it might be fixed for good. I’m thinking that this was maybe a driver issue on the Steam Deck’s part, but I’m not certain.
The controller itself has a nice heft to it and feels solidly built. There are physical switches on the back that allow you to toggle between wired and wireless modes and PC or Playstation modes.
The back buttons are near the center of the back panel and are difficult to reach. I have small/medium hands, and my fingertips can’t reach the buttons without uncomfortably stretching. Because of this, I can’t see myself using these buttons on a regular basis.
I like that the buttons are setup in the Playstation style. I enjoy playing Playstation games on my laptop, but finding PC compatible controllers with the Playstation layout is hard, and getting a Dualshock to work with Windows is tricky. I also like that they staggered the stick layout in the XBox style. This feels more natural to me.
I have mixed feelings about this controller. On the one hand, it feels very premium and solidly built. But on the other, it’s somewhat difficult and uncomfortable to use.

The Razer Wolverine V2 Pro wireless gaming controller for PS5/PC with remappable buttons is a premium controller that has a lot of features but is it worth the premium price?
You have to ask yourself that when deciding to purchase this controller for you gaming needs.
First of all the build quality is good and it feels great in the hand. The Wolverine V2 Pro is a PS5 /PC controller that comes in a Xbox controller form. For my personal preferences I enjoy the Xbox controller much more than the PlayStation style controller, it just feels more ergonomic to me
The Wolverine V2 wireless controller includes two extra thumb stick caps ( concave and tall), a wireless 2.4GHz USB type A dongle and a wired type A to type C 4.5ft cable. You have the option of using this controller wired and wirelessly. I enjoy the button feel as they are quite clicky reminding me of mouse button clicks and very tactile. There are also two extra shoulder buttons and 4 trigger buttons that are remappable to suit your gaming style. The controller also sports RGB which is a nice touch. The controller performs well and it feels nice in the hand and it packs a lot of features but is it worth its price tag? That’s something you’ll have to decide for yourself. I say if you have the money go for it but you also can’t go wrong with a standard original controller.

Review Date: 7-7-2023
— SETUP —
You can begin using the Razer Wolverine V2 controller on your PS5 out of the box. However, it is recommended that you charge it first and connect it to a PC for an update and customization. Alternatively, you can download an app to customize it.
— FEATURES —
RGB custom lighting, 8 way D-Pad, 6 remappable buttons, interchangeable thumbsticks (x2), wireless, PC and PS5 compatible
— PERFORMANCE AND EXPECTATIONS —
I tested this controller on PS5 and PC. I have always preferred thicker controllers, and this controller meets that expectation. It feels very comfortable in the hands and the grip makes it ideal for those hand-clutching moments in action and online games. When it comes to first person shooter games, the triggers have a feature where you can make them extra sensitive to your press, activating the shot sooner than a traditional controller. You can turn that feature off for other games with a physical slider on the controller. In fact, you have to turn it off for racing games, otherwise your car won’t go at full speed.
Remapping the buttons is a great feature. You want to do this for competitive gaming, accessibility, or for convenience. However, I was expecting for the controller to allow you to switch between at least two profiles on the fly. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case.
The 8 way D Pad feels awesome and sounds clicky. If you’ve gamed on PC, there are clicky high-end gaming keyboards, and this D Pad is the equivalent of that on the controller. I enjoyed using the D Pad with Mortal Kombat and Vampire Survivor (on PC). For fighting games like MK, you can feel every click that you press to execute combos and fatalities.
Unfortunately, the face buttons didn’t feel as good to me. They felt bulkier than I was expecting and it almost felt like they required more of a force push than necessary.
Another thing that this controller lacked was the vibrations, or rumble, during action games. I was playing Horizon Forbidden West for the first time with the controller. While I played, I sensed something was missing. Then it hit me that the controller wasn’t vibrating during the action scenes. To me, that removes the immersiveness of cinematic games, so I didn’t enjoy that aspect.
— APPROVAL —
Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this controller due to the lack of rumble, lack of haptic trigger feedback for PS5, and awkward face button presses. These are things you can overlook, then the D Pad and the hypersensitive triggers are great for competitive play.

When the PS5 was released a few years ago it did not allow you to use any aftermarket pro controllers on PS5 games. Up until this day it remains the same, and it wasn’t until this year that Sony released its first pro controller. I held off on Sony’s controller because it only comes in one color and has other drawbacks. FINALLY, someone else has released a PS5 compatible pro controller and I believe it is awesome.
One of my favorite things about this controller is that it can be used both on PS5 and PC. When I am at home I play primarily on PS5 and when I am away I play on PC. The frustrating part is that I have to use two different controllers instead of just one on both systems. My next favorite thing about this controller is that it can be both wireless or wired.
Setting it up for the first time on PS5 was a little confusing. Once you get it connected for the first time, it connects automatically like any other controller after that. This controller has more buttons than I even know what to do with but it makes a big difference when playing first person shooters. It allows you to map the controller any way you want it. Mapping the controller is not very complicated. Download an app on your phone and then you can connect the controller and map the buttons. When it comes to customizability, this controller is endless. I love the RGB lighting and the ability to customize or even turn it off.
If you are like me and have been waiting for a Pro controller that is compatible with PS5 this is the one to get. I also think it is a great option for PC players who want to use a controller. My only gripe with it is that it does not come with a case to keep the cables and extra thumb pads. Either way this is a great controller and well worth it.

Where to start with the Wolverine Wolverine V2 Pro.
Compared to a stock DualSense controller, it’s got some good heft to it and feels well built. It’s easy to hold and the textured grip is very welcome.
I don’t find my hands getting all sweaty over a longer play session. This does use the offset Analog Sticks as are found on Xbox controllers, so if you don’t
like that placement, then you will want to look elsewhere.
The buttons are fantastic. I love the audible click from the Face buttons and the D-Pad. Having a mechanical switch versus a membrane will always be superior just
as on a keyboard. Better Tactile feel, response etc. The remappable buttons are great as well. Being able to set a Face button on say one of the additional
Shoulder buttons or one of the additional buttons on the underside of the controller is a welcome feature. It does take a bit of getting used to though with having
to adjust your hold with the extra buttons. Every single button has a mechanical and tactile feel to it and you feel it. Even the Touchpad has a very satisfying
feel and click when you press it.
The Analog sticks are also very nice and I like they included two additional and different sticks depending on your use case. They magnetize on and I was concerned
about this thinking that just enough force would cause them to pop off and this just isn’t the case. It’s as though there’s a Lock on them that keeps this from
happening. I tried quite hard to get them to come off but they just stay on.
The shoulder buttons are great as well. There’s toggle for each that allows you to configure them for a long or short pull, the latter if you’re playing a shooter
which is of course helpful as you’re not having to pull all the way on trh trigger.
Battery Life I clocked in around 8 hours between my PC and PS5. That was from a full charge. I wish this it was longer though.
Two big things I dislike though. There’s no Adaptive Triggers on these. So if you’re playing something like Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo, God of War
or any other game that makes use of that feature, it’s completely absent here. There’s also no Force Feedback. From reading on this, they omitted these features
as they’re not something that is a focus or need in the Competitive scene (primarily to who these types of controllers are aimed at) so I can understand the choice.
That said, the trade off of no Force Feedback and no Adaptive Triggers isn’t a deal breaker, though the former is an odd choice given there’s a Racing Preset
for the controller and with Racing, Force Feedback is kind of a necessity.
It’s a really great and very solid built controller and the use of mechanical switches throughout provides even more benefit as they last longer than the the
typical membrane interface.
The app I think is a bit cumbersome to use as you need to put the controller in pairing mode to adjust any controls. I was also confused at the lack of support
within Razer’s Synapse Software. I would think that when you connect the controller it would allow you to remap buttons there, but there is no such feature.
It seems odd there’s no native support for their own controller in their own application on Windows PC’s. It would be nice when using it on PC, it would allow
you to map any key to any button, but sadly you can’t. This could be a deal breaker for some, especially when dropping so much on a controller.
Overall, it’s a great controller. There are other options out there of course, but most of those are just modified DualSense controllers, not one built from the
ground up.

The controller looks super cool and if you use the Razer app you can fully configure the controller lighting effects.
Controller also comes with USB to USB-C cable, USB transmitter, two extra knobs and quick user guide.
The controller has some weight to it and feels good in my hands, it seems very durable.
The L1/R1 triggers can be adjusted with the sliding switches on the back of the controller.
There is also a switch to use the controller wired or wirelessly. The cord is way too short to plug into my console and play at the same time, so wired play isn’t an option for me.
The battery life for this controller is excellent
A huge problem for me is that there is no rumble for this controller like the Dual Sense.
I also plugged in a headset into the jack in the controller, I did not get the 3D sound that I get with the Dual Sense controller.
In conclusion, I really like the weight, feel and look of the controller, but no rumble is major deal breaker for me. This controller will used used by the second player only.

It feels a little different in hand for me, but I like how it feels. The grip supports are textured so it doesn’t slide easily out of hands. I didn’t get fatigued and it’s not heavy. It’s a plastic body but it’s sturdy. The build and design are nice and I love the ambient rgb led lights surrounding the body. I also like the black on black, which allows the light effects really stand out. The controls are smooth and I like the haptic response on some of the buttons. You can lock some of the triggers allowing for more resistance. It comes with two interchangeable thumbsticks. I wish there were more options with the thumbsticks. They are easy to switch as they have magnetic attachments. My games of choice are racing and fighting games. I find the overall gameplay to be smooth and I haven’t experienced any lags or dropouts during gameplay. I don’t like the button/trigger placements on the bottom of the controller. For me it’s not so much of a problem to reach but for someone with smaller hands, or kids it’s a difficult reach. My son who has smaller hands had trouble reaching those triggers comfortably. This type of controller is also a learning curve for his pc gameplay. Another dislike is that you have to use the mobile app to configure the buttons and lights to your liking for the controller, instead of their dashboard for pc which is where we have our other Razer products set up and it would’ve been nice to be able to add and control from there as well. The cord is a bit short in my opinion but glad that it works wirelessly so I don’t see it being a problem for most gameplay. But if the cord is attached you have to be super close and that’s a no go. To use it wirelessly it comes with a dongle attachment. Overall, it’s a nice controller but there may be better options for the price.

I am in love with this controller I use it for my xbox, ps5, and my PC. The app is easy to use and connect with on my phone and can manually change what I want with it. It is so worth buying

Stick sensitivity is funky. The LED Lights are really cool and doesn’t really affect battery time. The buttons on the directional pad are extremely sensitive as well as the rear buttons are positioned a little funky.

Ive tried multiple asymmetrical ps5 controllers and this is the best.

Feels great in the hand and givesbyou an xbox controller feel for ps5!

Great controller. I wish it can turn on my PS5 automatically, but the performance outweighs this little problem.
2cantat2 –
Slight lag/delay from buttons. Dualsense edge is far better and cheaper

Too big for my hands. Too plastic. Can’t turn the ps5 with controller

Love the mouse click buttons, but it’s lack of weight and loose joysticks made me return them.
Gilgamesh –
Awesome use it when my playstion elite dies. Overall great!

It’s really hard to connect everytime I switch it on. It doesn’t connect automatically like the controller that comes with the console. I faced so many connectivity issues.
JimmyD –
Comfortable in my hands good grip long lasting charge last ad long as i could game in one sitting

I’ve been very happy with this controller. Build quality is good. No problem using with PC, especially on games launched through steam. I’ve owned the Xbox Elite Series 2 for a couple of years. This controller is absolutely on the same level and I now use it exclusively. Pricey, but if you want a controller with back paddles this is high quality, I would recommend it for sure.
3xtsyy –
Amazing. probably the best pro controller I have used. Cant think of another competor.
ColinT –
Bottom line, the controller is great. If this item ever drops to $150 pick it up immediately. It isn’t without fault, but even after writing this review I’m still in love with the Wolverine V2.
Pros: increadibly comfortable, great grip feel, responsive, good paddle placement (and they are perminant features), very durable, esthetically pleasing, longer battery life than the duel sense. It is a premium product (and for $250 it better be).
I have a wrist/hand injury that makes playing video games painful. I was shocked at how comfortable this is to use, it has probably more than doubled how long I can play before I have to stop.
Cons: price point misses the mark by a wide margin. Ridiculous price for a controller, especially when the Xbox version is $150. Bonkers.
Bluetooth pairing. Maybe it’s me but it unpaired occasionally and I haven’t figured out how to pair it so it can turn on the consol. It may be easy to do, but it isn’t already configured to do that. (This and the price are the only major-minuses)
Battery life (better than fuel sense but still sucks), and for the black model the button markers are hard to see in less than perfect light.

The controller is great, everything is mouse click and hyper responsive giving a good advantage over most players.
