Works great, speaker isn’t that great – so I have external speakers hooked into it and it’s fantastic. Finally get to play all my old cassette music.

Practical product for recording, excellent built-in-micro-phone. Unable, to utilize the USB feature. Unable to play audio using USB.

Can not send from tape to computer. Who wants to record tapes. I wanted to digitize tapes, not make more.

This is a good little unit if you don’t mind something a bit on the cheap side.
I had purchased this for the sole purpose of digitizing my cassette library. The cassette deck market is very small these days, and most I’ve found are either super cheap or super expensive and not a whole lot in between. This one is on the cheap end, but is doing decent work for a very low price.
The buttons came unlabeled and they’re a little hard to push. The playback sound was very muffled at first, and I thought it might be something defective, but after a little poking around i found the playback head was just terribly dirty. After cleaning it with a alcohol swab it sounded a million times better. I had originally bought it thinking that the USB was for line out recording, but was disappointed to find that it’s just a line into the unit for playback/recording. The Bluetooth is also only for line in and not for line out recording. It is beyond me to think that someone would buy this in order to playback through its builtin speaker. It does have a 3.5 stereo line out for recording, All in all an, an OK unit for getting my old tapes digitized and the price was right, its just not how i had envisioned having to do it.

Had some treasured tape cassettes that I wanted to listen to and ultimately transfer them to CDs. Is a wonderful little unit and sound is very good.

Did not function. Waited 3 weeks for the cassette player.
Will not order anything from Best Buy again!!!!!

Disappointed by how cheap and plastic it is… definitely not your 1970’s/80’s heavy cassette player! But the worst part is that it plays fast. So everything is just a bit off. Bummer. I’m hanging on to it as a means of getting the recordings digitized where I’ll have to adjust the speed. Wish me luck!

I have listened to several old tapes and they play just fine. I have also recorded singing voice and piano playing. All of the recordings have been just fine. I have waited quite a while to get a tape recorder again because I originally didn’t think they made them anymore. Guess I was wrong. That I am very thankful for because I have some old original tapes that my grandfather recorded music on that is very special to me because he is no longer here. His turn spring back very special memories to me.
