  1. Samson

Inexpensive but good quality. Love the made feels premium

  2. chrissyrt78

what a difference in light! so amazing to use with Canon rp! does not effect the footage quality – great buy

  3. peter

function as advertised. fits my canon 58 mm lens perfectly.

  4. Filter

Very pleased with filter. Also delighted with Best Buy next day free delivery.

  5. Lawrence

Fits my 58mm lens but this is better used on a 67mm lens

  6. Angela

Great product overall. The only thing i am not a big fan or UV filters is because it makes windows look weird when you film. Besides that in direct sun is great

  7. Hachrisss

This worked out great for a few lenses I used in bright day light even with a high shutter speed.

  8. Unknown

A special filter for low exposure photos. To use this filter you must have knowledge of photography.

  9. Marissa

It works really good and attaches well to my camera lens.

  10. ARvisuals

Not sure what I would do without my filter, it helps eliminate overexposing your shots when in bright lighting.

  11. LuisG

I been using platinum filters for some time now, they very very good, pictures look amazing with this filters.

  12. ApplePie

The is an amazing product. I will purchase a spare. Look no further. You will be impressed.

  13. Chance

Decent for the price. I was able to get some nice shots with this filter, but at higher levels it shows the infamous X design — which makes images have an uneven exposure level.

If you’re looking for something between 6 and 10 Stops, you should look into getting a standard 3, and 6 stop filter — you can then combine them for a 9 stop. That being said this filter can be useful for someone on the go who isn’t as concerned about higher stop levels or has limited amounts of room in their kits

  14. SuperMike

The filter itself isn’t terrible. I like that you could attach your lens cap onto this one aside from some of the other ones that don’t allow it. Although this one does have a pretty bad vignette.

  15. Miguel

I own a Canon EOS 77D with two lenses: an EF-S 18-55mm lens and an EF-S 55-250 mm lens. I love to shoot short films on my camera, and have invested in lens hoods, Cinestyle (a software that can be uploaded into the camera to give it that cinema camera-like film look), and filters.

However, when it came to filming scenes outside in the glaring sun, there were too many problems. Yes, a DSLR does a solid job at filming, but the ISO, aperture, and shutter speed options are extremely limited when shooting video. So, what happens when you film a subject in direct sunlight? They are incredibly washed out and over-exposed, and with a DSLR, there isn’t much you can do.

But, I wasn’t going to let this “problem” stop me, so I researched different variable ND filters for DSLRs, and this one was among the best that I found. When putting this filter on your lens, outdoor sunlight shoots become so easily manageable, and the over-exposed footage of the past melts when compared to this footage captured with this filter. The filter is fixed for 67mm lenses, yet it does come with two adapters for 52mm and 58mm lenses; both of my lenses are 58mm, and the adapter is so easy to use.

This is such an amazing filter, and I highly recommend it to any filmmaker wishing to better their outdoor, sunlit scenes.

(The first image is without the filter on, and the second image is with the filter on)

  16. Cyns

Awesome product at a very good price! Was perfect for my photography needs. Would recommend for anyone.

  17. Brian

Cheap nd filter. Scratches easily. Great for a beginner filter!

  18. Samuraichaimate

This VND lens filter by Platinum is a great product. It fits snug on my lens. It is clear and reduces light going on to my sensor so I can get more cinematic video shoots. The photos come out nice too. All you do is turn the VND to what you want and take the picture. It is sunglasses for you camera.

  19. ShhhhNobi

I was desperate when I made this purchase, and I regret buying this variable ND filter. The turn is loose and it has the ugly x/cross when you turn it too far. Also, there’s a significant blue tinge when using this variable ND filter. I have already moved on to more reliable and not loose ND filters. I don’t recommend this for ANY professional – it’s not even good to have as a backup. Don’t do it.

  20. Ddpg26

Very useful with photos and video very nice quality

  21. Stefan

Great works as it should quality intro lens filter

  22. KRPNC

This is a great Lens Filter and one I use often. It is also nice that Best Buy keeps these in stock in case you need it in a hurry. 🙂

  23. Bestastic

Works as I need it to. Good for long exposure photos in daylight

  24. Royhdz

Works great improved pictures significantly no more haze

  25. FEFE

Haven’t got a chance to use it yet but I can’t wait to try.

  26. Jordan

This kit works fantastic with my ef-s lenses, which all match up with the filter sizes covered. The black x has only shown up for me when I inadvertently go past the marked values. This would be 5-stars if it had hard stops to prevent that issue

  27. Nicole

I haven’t had much opportunity to use this, but the quality seems pretty good.

  28. Serg

Easy to use, filter stays in place after adjusting and it comes with different size rings to adjust to multiple lenses sizes.

  29. Mark

Awesome filter, makes life a lot easier when dealing with different light environments

  30. Sebass0811

It works. Looks good. Let me ask my wife…… she likes it too.

  31. AlaskaGuy

It really useful during my Sunny shooting! I recommend highly!

  32. ColinFitz

This product has been awesome! I have really enjoyed it

  33. MonkeyBarrelMedia

Easy to use and good quality. I was shopping around almost prices were way over $150.00, this filter was what I needed and got the job done and some!

  34. Brian

The price was about the only thing good about this. I tested this filter on a few student lenses. It made the focus on my photos soft. I do not recommend.

  35. JaemenR

I wasn’t expecting to be blown away by the quality of this filter… especially considering the price relative to competitors. My expectations were blown away. I haven’t seen the cross-polarization typical of other budget competitors. The rotation mechanism feels very premium, typical of a much more expensive filter. I am quite pleased with this purchase. I will definitely be purchasing more Platinum filters in the future.

  36. sonya6400

I purchased this VND Filter to add to my travel kit

  37. Owen

Very bad. Image quality is terrible. It adds lots of purple patches onto the images and not uniform at all

  38. Artur

It’s cheap so don’t expect great results! Very pronounced x in photo and video mode! Mine came broken!

  39. djbubu

    Ok for the price.
    Better options out there.
    Ok to buy with rewards.

  40. CodyB87

Perfect for my R6 when I want to film in daylight. Little bit of the cross shadows but I never needed it to be that dark

  41. Unknown

It’s okay for what I need it not the best but does it job keeping it just for emergencies.

  42. Julie

Just what I was looking for, cheap and good!!!!!!!

  43. Purchaser

It was not really dark enough for what I wanted to use it for.

  44. JackieW

I absolutely love this filter. This is an all in one purchase, no need to buy separate lenses. This one has you covered.

  45. rleitao

This VND filter is natively 67mm but comes with 2 adapters for smaller lenses. On a 67mm lens it’s great, but on the smaller lenses you cannot easily use your lens hood with the adapter and filter on.

Other than that the VND is easy to use and does not appear to reduce image quality. It has a solid feel to it and nice markers to tell what setting you are using.

  46. user807204

works great! This filter has saved my life doing outdoor shoots!

  47. IsaacD

10/10 worth every single penny. Super helpful. I use it every single day

I recently purchased the Platinum™ 52mm, 58mm, and 67mm Variable Neutral Density (ND) Lens Filters, and they have proven to be valuable additions to my photography toolkit. These filters have significantly enhanced my ability to control light and achieve creative effects in my photography.

One of the standout features of these ND filters is their versatility. With three different filter sizes included in the set, I can easily adapt them to a range of lenses, ensuring that I have the right filter for any situation. The variable ND feature is particularly useful, allowing me to adjust the level of light reduction precisely to achieve the desired exposure.

The build quality of these filters is impressive. They feel solid and well-made, and the smooth rotation of the filter ring makes it easy to make quick adjustments in the field. I’ve found them to be durable and resistant to scratches, which is essential for outdoor photography.

What sets these Platinum™ filters apart is their ability to control exposure while maintaining image quality. I’ve noticed minimal color shifting or image degradation when using them, which is crucial for maintaining the integrity of my photos.

The included protective cases for each filter size are a thoughtful addition, ensuring that the filters remain in pristine condition when not in use. However, it’s worth noting that the cases can be a bit bulky if you’re traveling light.

In conclusion, the Platinum™ Variable ND Lens Filters have become an essential part of my photography gear. Their versatility, build quality, and ability to control exposure make them a valuable tool for both amateur and professional photographers. I’ve been highly satisfied with their performance, and I recommend them to anyone looking to elevate their photography by having precise control over light conditions.

  49. Javier

This ND filter blocks light very good, as an automotive photographer I would highly recommend this filter for photographing cars in sunny conditions.

I use this all the time on my camera shooting photos and videos. The build quality is pretty good and does what I need to expose your wise
