The GPS is off. When im on the freeway my gps shows im 3 streets away. Incredibly slow for a high priced unit. They have this huge screen and do nothing with it. The square outline for the clock is twice as big as the clock display inside it. If im listeneimg to the radio and i open anything on my phone it turns the radio station off and jumps to carplay. Everytime i crank my truck it navigates thru a few minutes of black screen messeges. Sometimes it locks on the black screen and i have to pull over kill my truck and restart it. I went from the most basic factory radio to this piece and i miss my factory radio. While playing songs with carplay it frequently cuts in and out. My phone is literally sitting next to the unit on my dash. Do your research before buying this. I literally get annoyed at least 5 times everytime i drive my truck.

Great stereo so far, wireless CarPlay is awesome. Installation is pretty easy if you take your time and plan everything out. I wish you could use phone data when plugged in for browsing but you can use your hotspot. Would definitely buy again. Well worth price. Makes any car more modern.

radio is awesome quality however to use alot of the features requires pioneer’s “carAVassist” app, which does not work at all.
It has you connect to bluetooth, to set it up, then will tell you BT is not connected when it is. repeat the process forever. tried with multiple phones

Worst possible purchase ever. For $1,000 I would think I would get a quality item. Instead my and my husband’s phones disconnect frequently and it turns itself off and back on by itself. I will honestly never own anything by Pioneer again.

Its a wonderful looking screen. Carplay features are helpful, but the unit can be a bit laggy. Sometimes when playing a song it will cut in and out. This has a lot of potential, but as of now its a bit buggy. Thinking about returning it for another unit, but the other units im interested in have larger screens than this one.

Dave did an excellent job of scheduling our target install date while we were on the road 700 miles away. Jourdan the installer did an outstanding job working with me to be sure I was up to date with ALL of the functions in the system. She fine tuned some connectivity issues as we encountered them. She also worked around an after market code reader installed on the OBD-II port.

Item works well with IOS, not so well with Android. Constantly disco every 30 seconds from Android auto and wants to route you home. Very disapointed with this. After looking online have found this is a long known issue with Pioneer.

Well, the sound quality is superb, but it kept losing connectivity causing gaps in music. Then the worst happened. Apple sent an update that makes this unit no longer capable of CarPlay. I purchased this unit specifically for CarPlay. Now CarPlay is no longer an option. This, I feel I paid a premium price for wireless CarPlay and can no longer use it. Final verdict, this is no longer worth the price they are asking for. What an epic waste of money!

Thi radio caost 1200 dollars and works about 10% of the time. Android auto andapplrca play both just quit working all the time. At least 3 times a car ride, it constantly thinks I’m on a call with myself and I have to find the call menu and hit end. Definitely not worth the price at all. If I had known I would of went with a different radio. Not as bad as the alpine I bought, but still. No where near the value for the price.

I would rate zero stars if I could! BB sold me this unit and according to them everything would work on a Yukon XL Denali oncluding the rear entertainment system and everything.
Well, after I get to BB to get it installed and after numerous hours spent, I am told this unit will not work because it doesn’t have a DVD player. Why would they sell me this unit and say it will work with my vehicle knowing that my vehicle has a rear entertainment system and NOT have a DVD player!?!?!? This is ridiculous. And in a way im also upset at Pioneer for making this type of product without a freaking DVD player. It’s ridiculous.

This unit works really well bonus the total tech was able to get me free installation. It allows my car to have car play so I don’t have to mess with the Bluetooth everytime I get in the car. The only thing I’d recommend getting is the back up camera that works with the unit without it, the car uses the default camera but opts for a fish eye view.

I waited a little bit longer to do my review because I wanted to make sure the radio is working the way I expected, unfortunately is not, the radio keeps getting disconnected from my phone and it’s not starting automatically as it said in the manual or what the sales person said, first I was getting so many errors while driving wrong directions and I took it back to Best Buy several times, every time was very difficult to make an appointment though, any way they had to move the antenna to another place and now it’s working a little better but still some times gets disconnected from my phone, it’s a nightmare specially when you are driving and the gps gets crazy, I paid a lot of money for it and I don’t think it’s worth it.
I’m very disappointed with the radio.

I really wanted to love this radio, but I couldn’t. To start, the placement of the HDMI port is awful! Be sure you have plenty of room or youll have to wedge your cable, or you risk breaking the port all together on the radio! Second, not sure what the “Rear monitor out” plug is even for! It does not have a DVD player and the HDMI source doesn’t feed to the rear monitor! Then, the wireless carplay takes forever to launch, and doesn’t launch on the normal carplay screen. It cost way too much for these simple problems! I took it out after a week and took ot back! I didnt want to see what else was wrong with it.

I purchased this unit and got it installed back in February/2022. All the features worked as a charm except for the navigation system which never worked properly.
Every time I was driving and looking at the screen, it looked as if my car was floating all over the map, and it even made me drive the wrong way one night. I took it back to BestBuy to have it checked, but since I had purchased the manufacturer’s warranty, but not Bestbuy’s extended warranty, the installers told me there was nothing they could do to fix my problem.
I’ve been driving with this nice-looking screen on my dashboard listening to the radio, but I have to disconnect my phone if I want a reliable navigation system.
If you look at online forums on this model, you will find other users with similar issues.
I would NOT recommend purchasing this issue!

Google maps/Apple Maps (or any navigation app) will go crazy and think I am on some other street or not realize I made a turn and so on. It will reroute me endlessly because it does not have my proper location.
If I turn off the wifi on my phone before starting the car, then I don’t seem to have this problem. But it’s just an extra step I wish I didn’t have to do given how much I paid for this head unit.
When I start the car away from home, I don’t have this problem either because my phone is not connected to my home wifi.
It’s with all wifi connections. while my phone is connected to a store wifi or a friend’s home wifi.
