I was advised that this was the only mount to use for an 80 inch TV but have come to find out there are other less costly ones available

With any product being bought online, the hardest part is to base your decision on a picture of an item. After receiving this mount I can tell you there is nothing wrong with the quality of material used and the build quality is also good.
This mount is going on my 70 in. Sharp. The only problem I had was trying to get the bracket to tilt so I would have enough angle to hang the TV onto the wall bracket. It took an extra 5 minutes to figure that out. If the instructions were just a little better that might of saved me 5 minutes of my life.
One of the biggest reasons I decided to give this mount a try over many others was because this mount allowed me to use 3 studs to bolt onto behind the drywall.
I realize this mount is 61 in. to 102 in., but on my Sharp 70 in. the tips of the mounting bracket on the tv shows just a little (barely). For me it is a fair trade off knowing it’s securely fastened on the wall.

the first wall mount we tried wasn’t long enough to work with the spacing of the wall studs. This is a long mount and heavy! It has worked great though.

Mount works well. I mounted in a tight space above a mantel, but install was harder than it should have been because the instructions are not very clear about which screws operate the tilt

Best buy team was able to install this without issue. I ordered online, was shipped to my house, and was ready for them to install when they arrived. Simple unit, nothing too complex. Have a 98″ TV mounted to it, no issues.
