You will not regret this bag. Its does it ALL! The features of this bag are incredible. It allows a digital nomad like me to travel and not have to worry about finding things i need in a bag quickly. It is a great solid design. Great for travel. Also compressable to a smaller size if needed.

  2. Guest

Huge backpack with lots options. Well built and looks good.

  3. fabian56

Well design, you can configure as 30 , 35 or 45 L. Easy access

  4. Bulls96

If you like tech, like to tinker, have lots of gear, and travel a lot, this is the bag for you.

I say it’s the Tesla of backpacks, coz it has so many features and it takes time to be able to maximize it. Plus it’s pricey but looks premium.

it will cost you. Got one using a certificate and coupon, so I am very happy to get this.

  5. Loganb

I just took this bag on a 9 day tour of France. It did a great job. The versatility is extremely useful. High quality. I can take the bag on a weekend trip or international.

  6. mskobe

It is well designed with high quality material. It has large space to fit a lot of things in it. Love it.

  7. steve

this bag is strong ,durable and very comfortable. i used it on a trip to yosemite with 26 pounds of gear. not a problem at all.

  8. jsun

Best travel bag! I love the peak design brand! Can’t go wrong with it

  9. wbillsbrough

Very high-quality travel backpack. I purchased because my previous backpack was lacking in space to carry necessities for different travel engagements.

This bag has lots of space, an incredible amount along with being of exceptional quality.

  10. Baneyang

I was excited to get this travel bag since I really like Peak Design. I was disappointed when I couldn’t fit that many things, the clips that make the bag smaller are hard to snap and they come undone with any little movement.

  11. TechConsumer

This bag is awesome. It held all my clothes for a 3day trip with no problems. I had more pockets left over than I knew what to do with. Worth the price.

  12. Thatguy

I have always loved the quality of Peak Design. This is a great bag that is able to hold everything and still feel lite to carry.

  13. Ferdy

With this backpack I don’t need extra luggage great for my short trips!

  14. Patrick

This holds all of my fast travel photography/drone gear very well. It’s a steep cost to pay but if I’m going to have a bag this large the quality must be there. So far I have not been disappointed.

Overall this is a great carry-on eligible travel backpack. There are a few things that prevent it from being perfect but it’s close.

Pros: This bag is really well made. Materials and parts used are very high quality and seem to be durable. The zippers are decent (wished they used YKK). The design is handsome and very sleek. It looks a lot more high end and professional compared to the more outdoor-focused travel backpack brands. There’s a lot of compartments and pockets. I love the hidden pockets located underneath the water bottle pockets. I like the zippered pocket on the hip belt as well, just wish there was another pocket like it on the other side. I love how the flaps to stow the shoulder straps and hip belt are magnetic. The laptop and tablet sleeves are nicely padded and separated. I thought it was one sleeve big enough to hold both devices but it’s actually one large sleeve with a smaller sleeve built-in for the tablet. Water repellency is a nice feature on this backpack as well in case you get caught in some light rain, your gear won’t get wet. The bottom is made with a thicker and more durable material since it takes more of a beating than other areas of the bag. Also, if you’re worried about theft, you can hide the zippers on the inside of the bag so that thieves can’t unzip your bag.

Cons: It’s heavy. The water bottle compartments are on the smaller side and favor long, skinny bottles versus thick, stout bottles. I haven’t tried stowing my 32oz Nalgene bottle yet but I imagine it wouldn’t fit or would be a really tight fit. As a lot of bloggers who have reviewed this bag have mentioned, the straps leave a lot to be desired. Padding is pretty minimal (which I think Peak Design intended so that they can be easily stowed away) and hurt your shoulders after a while. However, this bag isn’t meant to be worn for long periods of time and bags like these are so big that you can’t really sit down while wearing them so you’re not wearing it most of the time anyway. Since this is a photographer’s backpack, you can buy Peak Design’s camera cubes to pack your camera inside this bag. I purchased the small cube and found it too big. I have a Sony a6400 and two lenses. The small cube was way too big for my camera, a couple lenses and a few other small items. It was fine because I ended up packing underwear in socks in the small cube to fill the empty spaces but outside, it didn’t leave much room left for my other clothes. Forget about packing shoes plus clothes and a small cube. I ended up returning the small cube because it was simply too big and also very, very difficult to latch into the built-in hooks in the travel backpack. Lastly, this is an expensive bag. It’s also made to be used with Peak Design’s camera and packing cubes (sold separately) and those aren’t cheap either. You can also get their tech pouch and toiletry/personal hygiene bags. You can easily spend $400+ when it’s all said and done for this system.

Overall, this bag is just fine by itself without the extra cubes and packs. You don’t really need them unless you’re packing a lot of camera gear or you really want the organization the extras provide. However, the bag is meant to be combined with those extras so you’re sort of missing out on some of the “magic” of the bag if you don’t invest in the extras. If you’re a photog who travels a lot, I would highly recommend this bag. Even if you’re not a photog and just a world traveler, I would still recommend this bag. But you’ll be paying a slight premium for it compared to other brands that have bags that do the same thing.

The zippers and whole design is mace for abuse. It is large enough for me but it can be slimmer to make it great for everyday use.

This backpack is truly versatile and can be configured in a number of different ways depending on your needs. The main inside pocket can be used as one large space to pack up for a weekend trip or you can organize it using one or more of the optional storage accessories. There are pockets big and small in all corners of the bag where you can store your knick knacks. It can be expanded to create some extra room or collapsed to make it slightly smaller at the top. The quality and construction are top-notch and if you get the black color, it is very inconspicuous.

Personally I mainly use it to carry my camera gear when traveling. To stay organized, I have a medium camera cube permanently installed inside and the space above the cube stays open for stashing things like a hoodie, snacks, and even the tech pouch when carrying my 15″ laptop. This kind of space and organization capability are exactly what I was looking for and I got that and much more.

Like all things, it does have a couple minor issues:

    – The backpack can be made slightly smaller by snapping two buttons up top. You have to be careful not to toss the bag around too much otherwise the snaps can come undone rather easily. This has happened to me when taking it off my shoulders which can be very annoying.

    – There is a small pocket on the back side where you can store your business card or your contact info. This pocket is so small and tight that if trying to insert a normal sized business card, you will inevitably bend and wrinkle the card. To get the card out is even more of a struggle because it gets caught in the velcro closures almost every time. In most cases though, you will not be taking the contact cards in and out too often so this is me just nitpicking.

Having said all that, this travel backpack is nearly perfect for my needs. I can honestly say that this will be my main bag for a very long time.

Lastly, it was definitely an expensive purchase for me so before buying, I watched a ton of Youtube video reviews to make sure it will fit my needs. To my surprise, it has exceeded my expectations in most every aspect except the little nitpicks I mentioned above.

  18. Bogsy

Fits my Mavic 2 pro and Nikon d7000 with its 3 lenses. Got the medium cube to go with it.

Overall, this is a great bag. With the open layout and anchor points, you can really customize it any way you want. I am using it more for motorcycle based travel, as it was weather…resistant and a decent carry on size. It may be weatherproof, but not for consistent rain strapped on the back of a motorcycle. Note that the only leaking came from the zipper that was located over the rear tire, the other zippers (out of direct line of splash), and all the panels were dry as could be.

I’m going to continue to use this beg, and eventually grab the small camera cube to drop in so I can bring my gear with me.

Was on the fence for a while because the price was pretty steep. Glad I bought this though. I love the sturdy handles on almost every end and the belly handle is just fantastic. This bag expands when you need it to and collapses even smaller when you dont. The materials and build are among the best youll see is a bag. To sum it up this bag is everything you need only when you need it. Until then it all tucks neatly away.

I have made some local and international trips using this bag. I like that it gas a lot of pockets and compartments. It has a big main compartment that you can fit in a lit if things. Havent used the camera cube for it though so cant comment on that. Only thing i wish they improve is the zipper. It seems sturdy enough but would sometimes ba little hard to close and would need some tugging. I also feel it is too expensive for what it is

  22. amazing

excellent quality bag, great features for travel. people complimented it.

  23. Dude

Very clean, elegant look. I use it to travel when I have a trip for a few days and it fits everything. It is very customizable. I travel with it when I go on planes to run marathons and it fits all my gear and clothes

  24. 257larry

This bag from Peak Design is very well built. I purchased it as camera and travel bag. I even bought cubes from the Peak Design website for this bag.

  25. JOJO

This A great backpack when travel and it is very dependable.

  26. Theman1

This thing is a beast! I love it with all the other travel gear!

  27. Edgar

It’s a great bag, however bestbuy sold it to me missing the strap that goes on the chest. I kept the bag cause i needed it to travel the next day n bought the cord thru peak design later.

  28. greenchev89

Ok so you want a backpack and if this one caught your eye just buy it. I can promise if you don’t mind a large bag its the best one you can find. The zippers are amazing. There are a bunch of little nice things inside the bag that make it great to live with. Well balanced even when loaded down to 40 lbs its not uncomfortable. Easy to clean with a damp microfiber rag and its very sturdy. Peak Design thought of everything and you will not be sorry with this one. I have used it for travel camping and just an every day bag. If your not a hard core camera guy and you are debating between this and the 30L everyday backpack V2 get this one. I already tried that one and its a great bag but this one it much more multi faceted . Not paid to say any of this I am just super picky and this bag keeps impressing me.

  29. ere23

Simply said, I love this backpack. I used to own the Nomatic travel pack. Which is a little smaller and did do a great job for short term trips 2-3 days. One with a smaller frame (I’m 5’10” with a normal build) might still prefer that option since it is still within the same budget. However, when I got into photography it was proving difficult for that backpack to meet my needs, I then purchased the larger 40L travel bag, which is useful but not as versatile as this backpack. The amount of thought that went into this design and the versatility it provides is incredible, and when they say smooth zippers they were not kidding. All I can say is that I highly recommend this backpack, it’ll be my primary bag for the foreseeable future I’m extremely happy with it.

  30. Chris

for some reason, the bag I received doesn’t look new. the package is not the peak design original package. the bag has scratches and dirty spots.

I don’t usually level bad comments. peak design bags are awesome, I think bestbuy sell people’s return as new.

  31. traveler

Excellent bag for travel. You can expanded when needed, yet reduce it in size when you don’t. Storage of straps comes in handy when slinging over a rollabout piece of luggage. I prefer it over my 20L and 30L Peak Backpack bags.

  32. JonSnow

Took this bag as my one bag on a 3 week trip to Thailand and the structure of the bag where the straps are has already started to sag. For the price I actually expected a more rigid durable backpack but after only 3 weeks the buttons where the straps are held from have sunken in and the back of the bag where your back touches is not bended and flimsy. Im really dissapointed since I own a lot of peak design items and this is the first one that has let me down.

  33. Ligmaballz
