  1. mmiller

Best backpack I have ever owned for my camera gear and laptop.

  2. 2124

Researched a number of brands, sizes and styles. It came down to the Peak Travel and Everyday. The Everyday having the camera dividers included was the deciding factor. It stores almost as much as the Travel, yet not as bulky and noticeable. The Everyday has exceeded my expectations.

  3. TimCook

This is by far the best backpack I have ever owned.

  4. DNguyen714

Perfect bag for travel when I need to carry one or lens or two. The side entrances makes it easy to grab my gear when needed (which then clips onto a capture clip once out). The material feels very premium, and zippers are quality.

  5. Shawn

I’ve been traveling for work for over 10 years and this is by far the best backpack I’ve ever owned. It’s expensive but if it lasts as long as it seems like it will it’s a great deal.

  6. chica

    Excellent backpack.
I am not using it for photography, I use it for work and it has been working great! No issues whatsoever. I carry my laptop and iPad and other electronics and have peace of mind because I know they are protected.

  7. Ballpu12

Good bag but the problem I had with the bag was straps are not great for long hikes.

  8. Movies

It was bought for a gift and my son loved the case!

  9. PhotographyRaptor

It has room for my camera, lenses, laptop, and enough clothes to get by if my check bag gets lost. I can take all of my expensive equipment carryon.

  10. Great

Built like a tank. I’ve been using this thing every day. It survived hikes through Belize and a ton of drops and throws. Nothing inside was damaged and it can fit a full weekends worth of clothes!

  11. Angel

This backpack is a solid 10. I have had the same backpack since 2010 and was due for a replacement. Being I’ve had the same backpack since 2010, I’m fairly picky. I got this as a Christmas gift and, at first, I wasn’t exactly sure how I was going to take advantage of the openness. I decided to go with some organizers and this backpack is flawless. It has build quality similar to what you’d expect out of a military issued backpack but features of the similar to NASA issued.

  12. Unknown

Great Everyday Backpack. It’s very helpful for me when running out with my hobbies – photography.

  13. johnnybbikin

Love this bag and all the storage options it brings to the table.

I’ve used this on multiple flights and trips now and it continues to impress me. The laptop and tablet sleeve is very handy and all the small pockets to keep things safe are perfect.

  14. Zane2020

Ok I love the idea of the bag its still new but it has been great so far. I love the space and it feels like it is of great quality. Has a lot of features but still have to see the practicality of the bag. Still pricey though.

  15. Israel

This bag is solid all around and helps you keep everything organize while you are on the go. I highly recommend.

  16. Jessica

This is a great backpack. There are so many pockets to hold everything from your camera(s), to laptop, extra batteries, and it even holds my external hard drive. There are almost too many pockets if that’s possible. It’s great but keep in mind it can get heavy. I have a mirrorless body, two large mirrorless lens, a DSLR body, 2 lenses, laptop, and accessories in there just fine.

  17. Surg

Perfect for travel! Took it for a long weekend and it was so helpful to be able to grab everything while walking through TSA!

  18. dbilsk442

Worth the money. I had a camera bag that I purchased off of Amazon a few years ago that was starting to bite the dust. So I wanted to look for one that I could invest in for many years. I took this traveling with me on a few trips and it held up to sand, dust, water, and the elements and it still looks and works great. Although pricey, think of it as an investment so you are not buying bags every so years.

  19. Marcelo

Super comfortable and very spacious, I mean this is worth every penny and i use it daily.

  20. MichaelsiPhone

It fits everything I could possibly ask it to do and it’s good looking as well and very lightweight. Also very economically pleasing on the wallet

  21. Spannerboy

Well thought out and made camera backpack. Configurable interior. Easy open top and sides. Pocket that fits a MacBook a big bonus.

  22. Doodoobear

Been looking at this bag for a while. Itll serve as a nice backpack for travelling. The origami inserts are a great way to comparmentalize your bag. It will definitely keep a camera, lens, and whatever you throw in it safe. There are so many features and I really like the side accesibity. Peak design products are in the pricey end, but definitely proven with quality.

  23. Sputnik

I own a couple Peak Design products already. This is my third PD purchase. I’ve been coveting a PD backpack for a while. I already own a Nomatic 40L travel backpack that I do really like, so I decided to check this out for my camera gear. I am not a professional photographer but I do really enjoy the hobby and try to improve my workflow and functionality whenever I can.

This bag is hands down the best bag I’ve put on my shoulders. Even fully loaded, it rests on my shoulders comfortably and with only the slightest of that pull-up on the back of the shirt.

The side handles are just SO CLUTCH. Fully loaded, I do feel like I’m putting just a tad too much stress on them, but they still feel super solid. With the magnetic shoulders, this makes quick trips with the pack very easy.

Build quality is phenomenal. I’ve told people, and I believe, that PD bags are (under normal use) indestructible. The weatherproofing of PD gear is serious and effective.

The side access is, as marketed, the main feature of this bag. And it does work well. However, I think the zippers could have run a little further on the bottom to help the side flaps open more fully. On the other hand, the flap no fully opening (it has some clasp because of the design, does help prevent gear from spilling out. A slightly inconvenient way to solve this is to access the side flaps with the pack placed flat on the opposite side. But if you are using the side flaps while the bag is shouldered, then this isn’t really a problem.

I also recommend you decide which way you would un-shoulder the bag before you setup the organizing flaps. The included ones are adequate but at this price point, I think a couple additional options should be offered: something like single slot cubbies or small holsters that you can velcro in. Still, the organizers offer a lot of modular flexibility.

I think they could have included another stretch pocket with magnetic clasp on the inside of the top flap, but that might also have interfered with the expansion capability. Yet, for so much other flexible and modular features, it seem odd this space is unused.

Beyond that, the photos should speak for themselves. I have a gimbal, PD tech pouch filled with goodies, two cameras, an extra lens for the DSLR, batteries, chargers, et cetera, et cetera. There are still some empty pockets available for workflow and auxiliary items.

Really, the biggest downside is that it is such a stylish bag, that it will really draw attention. Be vigilant and aware of your surroundings.

  24. Skyler

Extrememly solid bag, with the awesome addition of magnets everywhere. Comfortably fits a Sony alpha camera with Sony 200-600mm lens attached.

  25. Daniel

Stylish, functional, can be used as a drone bag! (freestyle DIY and DJI (sometimes at the same time!)

  26. Abioseh

This backpack seems ready to perform at least as my last camera backpack did. A joy to carry, it allows me to pack stuff sensibly sensibly and safely. The different compartments are both sensible and useful.

  27. Emily

Bought it and it was an excellent bag with an amazing set up. I ended up returning it cause I’m short and it was a bit too big but still very impressed.

  28. Nosqueezing

Good for organizing all of your camera equipment. Good for a few gears and accessories.

  29. rayz336

This is a great bag for carrying your camera and a few lenses with your laptop and your EDC. I have my laptop, iPad, mirrorless camera, two lenses, and a bunch of gear in my bag and it fits everything very easily. This seems like it’d be a great travel bag.

  30. KDFP

Great quality function and style. A bit pricey..but my son loved it

  31. Royj2009

I love this bag. Get a lot of compliments on it. Soo many ways yo design the inside if this bag for your needs.

  32. Ducky

I get that this is not a backpack built for hiking specifically. However, Peak Design should consider certain aspects that hiking backpacks come with to add to the value of the pack. A hip belt would be nice, since it helps with weight dispersement. The side access is a nice feature that allows for quick access to your gear, but if you are using a water bottle and tripod it limits accessibility a good bit. A traditional “brain” or even a detachable one would be better than the current clasp design for the lid and would supply a larger space for storing miscellaneous items.

  33. PUNKYD

I initially bought this 30L than the 20L thinking that it would be good. It is a great bag indeed, but its size for my built is not proportion. I am 5’9 athletic build between 160-170lbs. I look like ninja turtle with the size of the bag so I went back to 20L.

  34. bens

Bought this bag for a trip where I wanted to bring camera equipment. Packed it very full with a mix of electronics, clothes, and other items. It was excellent in the airport and traveling but when I had to wear it for hours I really felt the straps digging into my shoulds and causing me a lot of pain. Ended up returning the bag due to the pain but it might be more comfortable for others.

  35. Seeworld7008

A very well thought and aesthetic design, it’s very versatile you can almost Cary all your photography equipment in it.

  36. Gamer

This is a large bag but I wound up returning it as there is little room for modification. Unlike other bags you can’t fully open the back and to layout the pack to its fullest capabilities. I wish this operated more like the Peter bag.

  37. DeWComp

Returned … nothing wrong with it,, just didn’t meet my needs

  38. Ahmed

I purchased this bag ahead of a month-long trip. the bag was very easy to use an access access all the compartments, and at the end of the trip, the bag looked brand new despite heavy usage in less than a ideal conditions. Worth the investment. Lastly, I would encourage everyone to register your purchase with Peak design as they guarantee their products for lifetime.

  39. Alexander

Well-designed and roomy backpack. Magnetic straps are really useful in travel.

  40. AustinR

The bag is amazing with good quality but some of the items are in the wrong place in the stores.

  41. PatrickK

Excellent all-around travel backpack that can be used for leisure or business.

The origami style dividers make it easy to reconfigure the backpack for a day trip, casual hike, or business event.

  42. Rafael

So far the best backpack i have ever owned, I can fit all my gear in it

  43. CaptnObv

I bought this bag because I had a Nomatic bag which did not fit all of my camera gear. This bag is wonderful. I can fit most of my gear in this. The only downside is sometimes the side zipper design can get a little cumbersome. Otherwise, I love this bag. Will be using for carrying of drone in the future as well.

  44. AnthonyG

Great bag definitely holds everything I need. I plan to purchase another one of similar size or smaller for my other camera gear. It’s definitely easy to organize and carry. I just wish there was a little more space.

  45. JerryC

Great everyday bag as well as a camera bag. Takes a while to figure how to use for organizational schema

  46. Cameron

Incredible build quality, and comfortable while wearing it while traveling with all my gear inside. Not sure if it is “waterproof” but it definitely kept all my gear dry after getting caught in a downpour on Kaua’i.

    Comfortably holds my Macbook(charger&cables), 28-70mm, 100-500mm, 50mm, 15-35mm, Canon R6 body, 3 hard drives.

even if you’re not looking for a camera bag this is the best backpack around. Simple access to all compartments.

I picked this bag up on a whim right when I saw it. I owned the V1 20L already, I’ve been wanting the v2 30L and I’m glad I got it. both sizes offer so much versatility. It feels comfortable and secure even on really steep hikes. See images.

  47. 3lGuap0

Love the detail that was put into this bag! It has been very good with weight distribution on the shoulders.

  48. Lillian

Amazing backpack! Fits all I need and more. Elevated look!

  49. spmurph

As most probably know. This is the Everyday, and camera bag standard. Really can’t do better. User configurable, and keeps me to a carryon for most, even out of country, trips.

Not even that pricey for what you get, compared to other everyday packs.

  50. Jmasc000229

Very useful and has a lot of customization and the way the compartments are laid out make it vert accessible and useful. The clasp on the front is very nice too and high quality.
