Id prefer the Peak Design strap.
It’s a good product but not worth the money. Also if you have a heavier lens. It’s too heavy FO it to be clamped onto the bag strap.
Nooo –
It’s great. I put this on my bag haven’t had any issues. Could use one that still connects to a tripod though
Joselote –
Highly recommended, best product ever, this is my 2nd one! Thanks PD!

This in combination with the wrist strap from Peak Design worked great for carrying my camera at all times on a recent vacation
JasonD –
Solid product for carrying your camera on the go quick style, just unhook and go! Paired this with a light tripod that takes the same quick release plate and you’re ready to rock out at any given moment for unforgettable travel photos and videos.

Absolutely one of the best things i could have added to my kit. Doing weddings or events and being able to just click and go without worrying if it’s going to stay is a game changer! Get it!
RobertL –
Great product just a little hard to get connected to your belt, backpack, etc
DanH –
It holds my full frame mirrorless camera with a big 70-200mm lens just fine. The whole rig is about 5 lbs. What I hate is the hex SCREW design type that you MUST use the included hex key to keep the plate tighten; AND you have to re-tighten it ALL THE TIME (sorry for the shouting, I hate the plate design this much). I continue to use this because I have already invested other Peak Design hand grip and quick released camera trap.

Depends on the backpack used. This seems to have issues staying on my incase bag. The idea seems great but it popped off my bag, luckily the camera wasn’t attached to it at the time. Will try again on a different backpack. I’d hate to have to purchase a peak design just for this to work.

I really like Peak Design products, particularly their strap, and never thought would combine Peak Design and compromised engendering in the same sentence. Sadly, returning this produce as noted below. Originally purchased to carry a Sony 200-600 lens with camera mounted at waist level and quick attachment to tripod/monopod if desired with Arca Swiss mounts. Minor was slipping into receiver blindly, but suspect would eventually get the system down. The big issues have to do with the square Arca Swiss compatible baseplate, and a genuine Arca Swiss baseplate can’t be substituted. a genuine (and other compatable) baseplates hare 1) rectangular vs the Peak Design square. I had some concern of weight concentrated on the square vs spread out on the rectangular which could put stress on a camera bottom it was attached to. 2) Genuine Arca Swiss has a female “V” edge that interlocks with the matching male “V” on the mount clamp where the PD basplate has a single edge that the clamp male “V” slides over. and 3) the Arca Swiss standard has left and right stops so it won’t slide off if the clamp is loose where PD lacks the stops. While I also use the sling strap as a secondary backup – and everyone should – I couldn’t risk expensive equipment sliding off the mount as the clamp loosens slightly.

Good quality camera clip for everyday use on just about any camera bag or sling.

A little pricey but worth it in the end. I have peak design system setup for most of my camera gear so it just works. I frequently go on hikes so when I need to be hands free to navigate rocky terrain, I feel confident in this mount. It comes with an included Hex wrench for tightening and loosening so you know it is more secure than using your fingers to tighten. Worth it in the end and I wish I got one sooner!
Review –
Excellent purchase. My camera clips on well and I don’t feel worried that it’s going to fall out.
HumbertoF –
Just came back from a 2 week vacation. This clip was fantastic. I wanted to travel light and I attached it to the strap of my sling. It was very secure and easy to snap in and out. The lock feature came in handy when in locations like the subway that I wanted extra security. This was way easier to access my camera than keeping it in a bag. I highly recommend it.
AnitaG –
I ordered this to put my camera on my backpack strap as I was hiking. It was perfect so my camera wasn’t flopping around on my chest as I had it strapped around my neck. This is something that always bothered me when trying to hike and also take pictures. This camera clip keeps the camera from from flopping around and it stays in place on your strap. Makes it very comfortable for walking around with your camera.
ansago –
While I was a bit hesitant at first due to the cost, after using this for a few months I can say confidently that it’s worth it. The parts are all of very high quality and hold my camera securely, I’m never worried about it coming loose or falling off. Much more convenient to use than a standard strap or keeping it in a backpack (even one with a dedicated camera compartment).
SabrinaP –
This thing was awesome! We went on a weekend trip to a state park and it was so nice to have my camera accessible at all times without it swinging around everywhere and putting strain on my neck!
AndyK –
Works Awesome always on my belt and ready for my camera for super quick access
Saby –
This can hold 150-600 lens too. I am using clip for holding lenses.
MichaelN –
Sturdy and strong, this clip has many uses from the strap to clipping onto a backpack. I’m enjoying this as a wonderful addition to my Peak Design arsenal.
63JW –
works are stated, hold my camera in place when not using leaving my hands free
TrinityC –
As a action photo and videographer this little clip makes attaching to my tripod the easiest task in the world.
Steven –
Wish I had this years ago. So simple, yet it’s the most convenient thing ever. Makes shooting anything easier
Mario –
This device is so convenient when you are hiking, even when you are traveling and bring your camera with you. I set it up on one of the straps of my backpack and it’s super convenient, way better than having your camera bouncing around when you are walking as with the original strap.
kgfowl –
Purchased as a gift and she loves it. Works great for backpacking.
CaptnObv –
This clip is fantastic. I used it on a trip for a baby camera to record my hikes. Paired with a GoPro, the videos I got were fantastic. Also have one attached to my Sony a7 to clip to my belt. I love this so that I can access my camera quickly, without having to get into my camera bag constantly.
Joshua –
As an amateur photographer, I was used to having my camera dangle from a strap around my neck. Although I was able to find a comfortable strap, it wasnt convenient. Then, in preparation for my trip to Japan, I decided to get this clip when I saw a backpacker using it on a trail I was hiking.
It is a world of difference. It puts the weight of the camera on my shoulder and the bounce is now non-existent! The quick release allows me to grab a snapshot when I want and have the neck strap loose on my neck (just in case). WORTH THE INVESTMENT.
StevenB –
Was always nervous about having this suspend from my belt, but it is a game changer! Plus with Peak Design products having lifetime warranty, it’s worth the price!
GiancarloQ –
Hands down a must have on any travels.
Quick, easy, and functions as expected
EthanF –
Love this product! Securing and release mechanism is super sturdy and simple for your bag and camera. Would totally recommend to any on the move photographers
XYNZ –
Easy to use on three of my different backpacks and belt..

Product works as intended and has good support. Good machine work.
Jeff –
Exceptional product! Crafted from robust metal, it includes all essential tools for versatile strapping. Ideal for securing my camera on my backpack, providing peace of mind during an 8-day journey from Berlin to Görlitz, DE.
MidwestAdventurePack –
Versatile, light weight, and rugged. I’m hanging a few pounds of equipment off of this and have total trust in its ability to hold. Easy to transfer, solid to use. Comes with a bit of a steep price, but more affordable than bouncing your camera around.
Munoz –
Great buy love that it clips on to and bag I carry on trips.
Tommy –
you good product, this brand/company never lets me down
Honestreview –
I was really happy to get this. But the screws that fasten to the backpack came loose and whole thing fell off. This led to one of screws being lost, making it useless to hold the camera.
CindyG –
I bought this fornmy husband and he really love it.
DannyM –
Works exactly like it’s supposed to, and really makes carrying your camera slot easier.
YiZ1 –
Dont buy it! Dont buy it! Dont buy it! Dont buy it! Dont buy it! Dont buy it! Dont buy it! Dont buy it! Dont buy it!
David –
It really save lots of effort while outdoors. It can work well with peak design backpack and shimoda backpack without issues. It steady and durable, I tried a7m4 with tamron 150-500, which is nearly 2.3kg load, without any issue. Very securely locked.
tyji –
Best detachable quick release clip in the market. Won’t use anything else for my camera.
John –
It does exactly what it is supposed to do. The quality and craftsmanship are top-notch and everything clicks together with no issues. It’s a bit on the pricey side though.
Robertp –
This is a good product if you like to travel, I know most people dont like to travel with they’re canara because its always a hassel esspecially if you have a big camara. This device makes it very easy to travel and bring your gear along with you and allows for a lot of modifications for the way you use it.
LABwrks –
Doesn’t live up to the hype, Barely fits on thicker Lowepro backpack strap. Unscrews itself. Finish comes off despite light use. Only suitable for light or small lenses. Wish I’d returned it, but got busy and missed the window.
Abram66 –
Really helpful and convenient product!
Only update I could see for this product would be if it was able to extend width
